• Resize content for "frame" on .aspx page which draws product content from suppliers' page

  I have a retail store site, no online sales, which displays the webpage of our supplier in a "frame" in order to have the most accurate and up to date information for our customers. (example) My issue is that the size of the page it is pulling in doesn't fit in the frame. It looks pretty poor, and part of the content is obscured. Is there a way to scale the content drawn in to the size of the frame? The same site also has an intermittent issue with the Flash banner loading. When it doesn't load, the layout of the header on the page is awful. Any ideas there will also be appreciated.

  I'm having some issues with the packing of my structure in C# and passing them through to cbuffers I have registered in HLSL. • Ubuntu 10.10 USB drive not showing

  USB is detecting but not showing the drives or mount details. Nothing there inside my /media folder and /mnt folder. I already enabled automatic mount and give privilege to user also. • How to change screen resolution in slick2d?

  I released my game for testing for both windows and mac. I'm using mac as my development workspace. My friends uses windows and the window was to big. I created a 1000*1500 Screen window. I can change the window size but that means I have to re-do all my sprite sheets again with smaller sheets. I don't want to this again but is there a way which I can make the window smaller without changing the size of my sprite and changing co-ordinates of the mouse clicks?

We're talking about a fairly large organizations with quite a bit of code and a complete rewrite project in planning. Don't ask. Anyway, I'm trying to create a list relevant parameters to judge the toolkits. What would you use to drive the comparison? Here's what I've got so far: Maturity Ease of development Ease of prototyping Ease of maintenance Size of hiring pool Available knowledge at the company Training costs Community size Community level of expertise (how hard to find good answers to complex problems) Amount of expert-level books available Ability to interface to other technologies Deployment considerations Visual aesthetics Ability to access OS resources Multiple monitor support (something that might come in handy in our particular application)

  Navigation flows in the Web UI is a common requirement. In 11.1.1.7 we do not have out of the box support for navigational flows but this is surely on our road-map.Until then this simple approach might meet some of the requirements. In this sample we use a trigger control and Web Form rules show navigation flow for Customer, Orders and Line Items. • Getting isometric grid coordinates from standard X,Y coordinates

  I'm currently trying to add sprites to an isometric Tiled TMX map using Objects in cocos2d. The problem is the X and Y metadata from TMX object are in standard 2d format (pixels x, pixels y), instead of isometric grid X and Y format. Usually you would just divide them by the tile size, but isometric needs some sort of transform. For example on a 64x32 isometric tilemap of size 40 tiles by 40 tiles an object at (20,21)'s coordinates come out as (640,584) So the question really is what formula gets (20,21) from (640,584)?

• Can I expand my /boot without upsetting the system?

As can be seen, the boot is very small, and I cant upgrade the kernel, because the update-manager tells me there isnt enough space on /boot :( Which effectively means that I cant update my kernel. • Need some help implementing VBO's with Frustum Culling

  i'm currently developing my first 3D game for a school project, the game world is completely inspired by minecraft (world completely made out of cubes). I'm currently seeking to improve the performance trying to implement vertex buffer objects but i'm stuck, i already have this methods implemented: Frustum culling, only drawing exposed faces and distance culling but i have the following doubts: I currently have about 2^24 cubes in my world, divided in 1024 chunks of 16*16*64 cubes, right now i'm doing immediate mode rendering, which works well with frustum culling, if i implement one VBO per chunk, do i have to update that VBO each time i move the camera (to update the frustum)? is there a performance hit with this? Can i dynamically change the size of each VBO? of do i have to make each one the biggest possible size (the chunk completely filled with objects)?. Would i have to keep each visited chunk in memory or could i efficiently remove that VBO and recreated it when needed?.

• Blender 2.63a window position unstable with dual monitor extended desktop

  I have two 1920 x 1200 HP monitors and running Ubuntu 12.10. If I set them up as an extended desktop, (both 1280 x 1024 positioned for 2048 x 1280, all my applications work fine EXCEPT Blender (even Inkscape). Blender works great on a single monitor but always defaults to a window size that uses all available real estate and it can't do that with 2048 x 1280. It launches, but jumps all over the screen. Does any know a way to start Blender in a fixed size window so it would run in just one monitor?

• Why won't Kubuntu load my CD?

  I'm running Kubuntu 12.04.1 LTS and Kubuntu hasn't recognised my CD! • Mobile music playback on android phone keeps buffering

  I have copied some music to a ubuntu synced folder on my karmic machine. I have the Ubuntu One android app installed on android 2.2 phone. When listening to music I get frequent breaks whilst the music is buffering, even with full signal. every other music streaming servie such as last fm and bbc player are fine. What is going wrong? mp3s should not have trouble buffering over a good 3g signal. I have set cache size to 200mb but i cant find a buffer size. Is it my mp3s? they are usually in the order of 320kb/s this is a breaker for me if there is no solution which is a massive shame as i like the principal of the software. cheers

• Optimal Compression for Speech

  I'm designing a game that depends heavily on audio; I will have some 300+ speech files (most of them just a word or two long). This can very quickly escalate the size of my final game. What's the optimal way to encode/compress speech files to keep the size minimal without getting audio artifacts? Please address both per-file compression/encoding, and also zipping/compressing the set of all speech files together in your answer. Because I'm not sure which (or combination of both) factors will give me the best results. Edit: I need this to run in Silverlight and Android, so I'm presumably stuck with only MP3 as my option (other than uncompressed wave files).

• Zooming in isometric engine using XNA

  I´m currently working on an isometric game engine and right now I´m looking for help concerning my zoom function. On my tilemap there are several objects, some of them are selectable. When a house (texture size 128 x 256) is placed on the map I create an array containing all pixels (= 32768 pixels). Therefore each pixel has an alpha value I check if the value is bigger than 200 so it seems to be a pixel which belongs to the building. So if the mouse cursor is on this pixel the building will be selected - PixelCollision. Now I´ve already implemented my zooming function which works quite well. I use a scale variable which will change my calculation on drawing all map items. What I´m looking for right now is a precise way to find out if a zoomed out/in house is selected. My formula works for values like 0,5 (zoomed out) or 2 (zoomed in) but not for in between. Here is the code I use for the pixel index: var pixelIndex = (int)(((yPos / (Scale * Scale)) * width) + (xPos / Scale) + 1); Example: Let´s assume my mouse is over pixel coordinate 38/222 on the original house texture. Using the code above we get the following pixel index. var pixelIndex = ((222 / (1 * 1)) * 128) + (38 / 1) + 1; = (222 * 128) + 39 = 28416 + 39 = 28455 If we now zoom out to scale 0,5, the texture size will change to 64 x 128 and the amount of pixels will decrease from 32768 to 8192. Of course also our mouse point changes by the scale to 19/111. The formula makes it easy to calculate the original pixelIndex using our new coordinates: var pixelIndex = ((111 / (0.5 * 0.5)) * 64) + (19 / 0.5) + 1; = (444 * 64) + 39 = 28416 + 39 = 28455 But now comes the problem. If I zoom out just to scale 0.75 it does not work any more. The pixel amount changes from 32768 to 18432 pixels since texture size is 96 x 192. Mouse point is transformed to point 28/166. The formula gives me a wrong pixelIndex. var pixelIndex = ((166 / (0.75 * 0.75)) * 96) + (28 / 0.75) + 1; = (295.11 * 96) + 38.33 = 28330.66 + 38.33 = 28369 Does anyone have a clue what´s wrong in my code?
