  • OpenGL: Disable texture colors?

    Is it possible to disable texture colors, and use only white as the color? It would still read the texture, so i cant use glDisable(GL_TEXTURE_2D) because i want to render the alpha channels too. All i can think of now is to make new texture where all color data is white, remaining alpha as it is. I need to do this without shaders, so is this even possible?

    Is it possible to add some kind of restriction to the web.config to limit URL parameter length? I want to prevent people at the earliest possible point from submitting too large URL parameters so the server doesn't get taxed more than necessary in the event that somebody tries to "attack" it with large invalid URL parameters.

Is it possible to find hadeeth in csv / sql (at least the popular ones like bukhari, muslim, tirmidhi) otherwise Do we have any tools or is it possible to convert CHM files into CSV or SQL ?     Hello, Using rails3 new routing system, is it possible to change the default :id parameter resources :users, :key => :username come out with the following routes /users/new /users/:username /users/:username/edit ...etc I'm asking because although the above example is simple, it would be really helpful to do in a current project I'm working on.   • Theory: Can JIT Compiler be used to parse the whole program first, then execute later?

    Normally, JIT Compiler works by reads the byte code, translate it into machine code, and execute it. This is what I understand, but in theory, is it possible to make the JIT Compiler parses the whole program first, then execute the program later as machine code? I do not know how JIT Compiler works technically and exactly, so I don't know any feasibility in this case. But theoretically, is it possible? Or am I doing it wrong?

  • MySQL app with Cassandra in mind

    I am planning to make a web app which will eventually use Cassandra. But now that I don't have it and don't have server(s) to run it from, I'd like to start by using MySQL. The question is, is it possible to structure data and queries in such a way that it would be fairly easy to later port it to Cassandra? Main idea, I guess, would be writing MySQL queries that would be possible to change to same Cassandra queries. Maybe you have a better suggestion?

    Delphi 2011 will allow to compile applications that will run also on MacOS. Is it realistical to think that it will be possible to "migrate to cross platform" a win32 application? Will 3rd party component vendors make their library cross platform or this is practically not possible? I use the following 3rd party components: devexpress - UI devart - DAC Reportbuilder - UI Steema/TeeChart - UI I don't expect to have a wizard that will do the job for me, I just want to understand better the details.
