• Longer Form Fields in Drupal

  I have a really silly problem that has cost me a load of time already. I have created a content template with a URL in there. When I look at the HTML code for it, I see a big fat "maxlength=256" in the form tag. I'd like to expand the length of this field, because my customer wishes to enter really long links (over 500 characters). Any idea how I can change it? When I do a generic search through the code I see so many occurences of 256, but the length might just as well be in the database somewhere. I have of course made the database field a longer varchar (1024 sounded poetic to me), so that's something I don't have to worry about. I think it's silly, but the customer's always right, as we know. I am using Drupal 6.14.

• expand div when use clicks in text box?

  I'd like to have a div expand to show contents when a user clicks their mouse in a text box to enter text. I haven't seen that around anywhere before. I know how to make things expand onClick, but can someone point me to what I'm looking for? Basically, I have an email signup box that I just want to show the input field for the email address, but if the user actually decided to get on the email list, that div will expand to also ask them for their name and zipcode.   Hi! I have a login page with an input of type "password" I would like to have a virtual keyboard to enter the password. I've searched and I found the jquery script for virtual keyboard. • authentication in PHP ?

  Hi guys, I need to make an authentication script in php. I have already made a login.php page, where the user can enter his unsername/password and it gets checked against a database. If the unsername/password are correct, the user should be forwarded to members.php page together with a $_SERVER['username'] variable. What is the command in PHP to go to another webpage, in this case members.php ? in pseudocode I see it like this: if ( unsername/password are OK ) { $_SERVER['username'] = $username; goto(members.php); } Thanks!

  Hi, I have to develop a program at work in which a consultant can enter a specification which is developed 2 years ago here in house. So i can't really tell what it is about. But the editor should support some standard functionality such as syntax highlighting, auto completion and maybe search & replace. I've searched for Java components but didn't find a good solution which matches my requirements. Anybody knows a good component? It doesn't matter in which language it is written but I prefer Java.

  I want to remove all html content from a string except for a div class : <div class="toto">blablabla</div> Should I use a Regex or DOM Parser? To answer drachenstern : It's a comment content with bbcode. And the html in this div is generated with Geshi (code highlighter) so i don't want to delete this. For example a visitor can enter <script></script> in a [code][/code] bbcode tag. All HTML outside the [code][/code] bbcode tag must be delete no?

• Check wether Excel file is Password protected

  I am trying to open an Excel (xlsm) file via VBA. It may or may not be protected with a (known) password. I am using this code: On Error Resume Next Workbooks.Open filename, Password:=user_entered_pw opened = (Err.Number=0) On Error Goto 0 Now, this works fine if the workbook has a password. But if it is unprotected, it can NOT be opened. Apparently this is a bug in XL2007 if there is also workbook structure protection active. (http://vbaadventures.blogspot.com/2009/01/possible-error-in-excel-2007.html). On old XL2003, supplying a password would open both unprotected and password protected file. I tried: Workbooks.Open filename, Password:=user_entered_pw If (Err.Number <> 0) Then workbooks.open filename This works for unprotected and protected file. However if the user enters a wrong password it runs into the second line and pops up the "enter password" prompt, which I do not want. How to get around this?

  I want to create a browser based game and I have a huge problem, the game can be easily hacked. The problem is at a page where you can go to "work", I store in a file the work ending date and the amount of money what you will receive after finishing the work. There are 4 type of works. The problem is that I use ajax to send to a php file the necessary information. The URL looks like this x.php?date=....&pay=.... The javascript part of the page calculates the date and the pay but if you simply enter in your URL bar x.php?date=anynumber&pay=99999 you will receive that 99999 dollars. What should I do ? And sorry for my bad english :)

• Microsoft sublanguage string to locale identifier

  I can't seem to find a way to convert, or find, a local identifier from a sublanguage string. This site shows the mappings: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd318693(v=VS.85).aspx I want the user to enter a sublanguage string, such as "France (FR)" and to get the local identifier from this, which in this case would be 0x0484. Or the other way around, if a user enters 0x0480 then to return French (FR). Has anyone encountered this problem before and can point me in the right direction? Otherwise I'm going to be writing a few mapping statements to hard code it and maintain future releases if anything changes. BTW, I'm coding in C++ for Windows platform. Cheers

  I use MS Visual Studio and I am new to C++, so I am just wondering if there is an faster more efficient way to do multiple test cases instead of keep clicking CTRL+F5 and re-opening the console many times.   I have a regularexpression validator which validates a valid email. I have two buttons on my form. Submit and undo. On undo, we are reverting the page state to default submit has it validationgroup set while undo doesnot have any validationgroup and CausesValidation="false". Now when i navigate to page and enter invalid emailaddress,i directly click undo. the validator fires and stops my page from posting.however if i press tab and navigate to other control and then click undo,the validator shows error message but posts back and furthur proessing is done. This is very strange and i want the page to postback without any error message when i click undo.how to achieve it.

  Our application do the following. 1. Start the transaction. 2. Execute a query using prepared statement 3. Check a condition to see the number of rows updated are equal to the required number. 4. It commits on success of above condition otherwise it will roll back However the problem is that when two threads are simultaneously enter this code. Thread-1 is updating a row in step 2. It checked the condition and committed successfully since the condition is successful. Thread-2 started execution somewhere between steps 1 & 4, and it is failing on at condition checking at step 3 (as it is getting number of updated rows as 0). I expected second thread to throw an exception but it is not. What could be the problem?

Currently I have the user login to the site, manually query the csv, and have my application load the file locally.   I've installed Djangobb app on my server (Debian, mod_python) by cloning original source. The only things I've changed is database options in settings.py. All needed components are installed - syncdb query was executed right. But, when I'm trying to enter on my forum, it returns me error: ImproperlyConfigured: Error importing middleware django_authopenid.middleware: "No module named djangobb_forum.subscription" I've checked - djangobb_forum/subscription.py exist, so I don't know what can be wrong. • Http Geocoder (Google) Accuracy level

  I am geocoding a large amount of user entered addresses and interested in the accuracy levels returned. My GOAL is to get the BEST POSSIBLE ACCURACY score for a given address. I call the geocder api following way http://maps.google.com/maps/geo?q={address}&output=csv&sensor=false&key=xx now the accuracy levels returned for same address with/without premise name q = Key Arena, 305 Harrison Street, Seattle, WA 98109 (Accuracy is 5) q = 305 Harrison Street Seattle, WA 98109 (Accuracy is 8) q = Key Arena, Seattle, WA 98109 (Accuracy is 9.) Its obvious from the above that the google servers does not return the best accuracy when street name is appended with premise/venue. the question is :) is there a way to pass the complete address ( with premise name / i.e case 1 ) and get the Max Accuracy. ( or how can tell the google server that the address is passed with premise/building name and street name) ( if you are thinking why not just use case 3, the answer is these are user entered addresses, they could enter "my moms's house" for premise, with accurate street address. in which case i want the accuracy to be 8 not 5)

So while testing on my moto droid, i am facing a strange issue-- when i touch an input field ( which is at lower end of the screen) -- the on screen keyboard pops up and hides the input field. So user have to enter blindly. So is this a sdk issue OR it is particular for droids OR am i doing something wrong??? I have tested this same form on G1, Hero..i see no issues at all. Please help...

• C# : Number Conversion Problem

  Today I faced a strange problem in C#. I have an ASP.NET page where user can enter certain price, quantity etc. I get the price value, convert it to double, then multiply it with 100 and then typecast it to an integer. When the price is "33.30", after converting it to double it remains 33.3 (obviously...), but after multiplying it with 100, it becomes 3329.9999999999995, and when I cast it to integer by applying simple cast operator "(int) (price * 100) ", it becomes 3329. Right now I have no idea why this is happening. So I thought may be you guys can help :) .

• ASP.NET Dynamic form generation and submition

  I need to create a form where for each day in the month the user will enter in several different values (Im thinking a grid sort of thing, values along the top, day of the month along the side) using ASP.NET forms with C# backend... So what would be the best way to generate this form? I dont want to hardcode that many controls as it would make the submition a little annoying but i also would need to be able to give it values entered in previous days and have it display them in the textboxes. How would i go about creating this form and also how would i get the values from the textboxes in the backend?
