Form Submitting Incorrect Information to MySQL Database

I've created a form that submits data to a MySQL database but the Date, Time, Year and Month fields constantly revert to the exact same date (1st January 1970) despite the fact that when I submit the information to the database the form displays the current date, time etc to me. I've already set it so that the time and date fields automatically display the current time and date. Could someone please help me with this. What is the best way to minimize the number of queries to retrieve products, subcategories of current category, product counts by subcategory and brand for the result set of the query below? Categories are a nested set. I have a <tr> which includes several <td>s, each of which includes exactly one <div>, which may have further structure: <tr id="foo"> <td><div>...</div></td> <td><div>...</div></td> ... <td><div>...</div></td> </tr> Given a jQuery selector obj = $('#foo'), how can I get a selector that points to all the <div>s directly under a <td> under the <tr> (but nothing within the <div>s)? Probably chldren() and/or find() may be relevant, but I am not sure.

ParallelWork: Feature rich multithreaded fluent task execution library for WPF

ParallelWork is an open source free helper class that lets you run multiple work in parallel threads, get success, failure and progress update on the WPF UI thread, wait for work to complete, abort all work (in case of shutdown), queue work to run after certain time, chain parallel work one after another. It’s more convenient than using .NET’s BackgroundWorker because you don’t have to declare one component per work, nor do you need to declare event handlers to receive notification and carry additional data through private variables. You can safely pass objects produced from different thread to the success callback. Moreover, you can wait for work to complete before you do certain operation and you can abort all parallel work while they are in-flight. If you are building highly responsive WPF UI where you have to carry out multiple job in parallel yet want full control over those parallel jobs completion and cancellation, then the ParallelWork library is the right solution for you. I am using the ParallelWork library in my PlantUmlEditor project, which is a free open source UML editor built on WPF. You can see some realistic use of the ParallelWork library there. Moreover, the test project comes with 400 lines of Behavior Driven Development flavored tests, that confirms it really does what it says it does. The source code of the library is part of the “Utilities” project in PlantUmlEditor source code hosted at Google Code. The library comes in two flavors, one is the ParallelWork static class, which has a collection of static methods that you can call. Another is the Start class, which is a fluent wrapper over the ParallelWork class to make it more readable and aesthetically pleasing code. ParallelWork allows you to start work immediately on separate thread or you can queue a work to start after some duration. You need to make sure you start a new work only when there’s no other background work going on. Writing Unit Tests for an ASP.NET MVC Action Method that handles Ajax Request and Normal Request

In this blog post, I will demonstrate how to write unit tests for an ASP.NET MVC action method, which handles both Ajax request and normal HTTP Request. I will write a unit test for specifying the behavior of an Ajax request and will write another unit test for specifying the behavior of a normal HTTP request. Both Ajax request and normal request will be handled by a single action method. So the ASP.NET MVC action method will be execute HTTP Request object’s IsAjaxRequest method for identifying whether it is an Ajax request or not. So we have to create mock object for Request object and also have to make as a Ajax request from the unit test for verifying the behavior of an Ajax request. I have used NUnit and Moq for writing unit tests. Tomboy error while tring to sync with Ubuntu one; Can anyone help?

So I'm sure you've heard the song before, but after trying to sync my notes with Ubuntu One(on 10.10 AMD64) I get "Could not synchronize notes. Check the details below and try again." Of course the problem is that there are no details and trying again doesn't help. So I ran tomboy -debug and compared my error to any thing I could find about similar problems (such as the post here) but found nothing useful. I have modified the file /usr/share/X11/xkb/rules/evdev.xml and added the following section: <layout> <configItem> <name>depl</name> <shortDescription>depl</shortDescription> <description>German (with Polish characters)</description> <languageList> <iso639Id>ger</iso639Id> </languageList> </configItem> </layout> I have then reconfigured the xkb data with sudo dpkg-reconfigure xkb-data. It works in as much as that the new layout appears as a viable option in the Text Entry dialog, it can be added to the list of dialogs and is visible in the application indicator: However, it does not work, the new symbols are not loaded. No errors are reported in /var/log/Xorg.0.log.

When to use typedef?

I'm a bit confused about if and when I should use typedef in C++. I feel it's a balancing act between readability and clarity. Here's a code sample without any typedefs: int sum(std::vector<int>::const_iterator first, std::vector<int>::const_iterator last) { static std::map<std::tuple<std::vector<int>::const_iterator, std::vector<int>::const_iterator>, int> lookup_table; std::map<std::tuple<std::vector<int>::const_iterator, std::vector<int>::const_iterator>, int>::iterator lookup_it = lookup_table.find(lookup_key); if (lookup_it != lookup_table.end()) return lookup_it->second; ... } Pretty ugly IMO. Remove directory from URL IIS 7.5

I've tried to find a solution to this and found some guides out there but none seem to work. I have the following URL - http://www.mysite.com/aboutus.html However there are some other sites which link to my old hosted site and point to http://www.mysite.com/nw/aboutus.html. My issue here is trying to remove the 'nw' directory from the URL's. Hey guys I'm having some issues with the speed of my script. I'm a novice I know so getting past that - what suggestions would you have to speed up my script? I was originally just reading in the index.php and then searching the <head> of the page for an array of strings. Then I read about the get_meta_tags and went that way. Connecting Dell XPS 17/HP Pavilion dv7 (nvidia GT 650M) to Apple LED Cinema Display for 2560x1440 resolution from notebook

Is there any way to run higher than 1080p resolution from a Dell XPS 15/17 or HP Pavilion laptop? Specifically, I am planning to buy Dell XPS L721X or HP Pavilion dv7-7005tx with nvidia GeForce GT 650M and connect it to the Apple LED Cinema display via mini Displayport (I don't think Thunderbolt is supported on these notebooks). The idea is to get 1080p on the notebook and 2560x1440 on the main display. Only one of the montitors is active at any time. I asked Dell and they weren't of much help.

Need to hookup HP dv7-3085dx with NVIDIA GeForce GT 230M to my Dell 30 inch LCD 3007WFP at max resolution

I recently bought an HP laptop (dv7-3085dx) which is supposed to have a pretty good video card (NVIDIA GeForce GT 230M). The card is supposed to output a max resolution of 2560x1600 which is also the max resolution of my monitor. I've now bought an HDMI to dual link DVI cable - this is after Best Buy's 70 dollar HDMI to DVI (perhaps it was 'single' link?) didn't give me the best resolution. In Windows 7, when I try to set the max resolution for my 30" monitor, I only get 1280x800, which is absurd. The monitor is great, I love the laptop and the video card supposedly supports such resolutions. I therefore can't figure out why I'm not getting a better resolution. When I "detect" my monitor in Windows 7, it is shown correctly as a DELL 3007WFP!

Windows can see Ubuntu Server printer, but can't print to it

I have an old desktop that I'm trying to set up as a home backup/print server. Backup was trivial, but am having issues getting the printing to work. The printer is connected to the server running Ubuntu Server 9.10 (no gui). If I access the printer via http://hostname:631/printers/, I am able to print a test page, so I know the printer is working; however, I am having no luck from Windows. Windows can see the printer when browsed via \hostname\, but I am unable to connect. Windows says "Windows cannot connect to the printer" without indicating why. Any suggestions?
