    I want to set a menu option icon for a drawable that is in another jar inside an xml file. <item android:id="@+id/my_location" android:title="My Location" android:icon="@+drawable/my_location"> Instead of drawable/my_location have something like com.somelib.R.drawable.someDrawable. I can set this in onCreateOptionsMenu but was just wondering if it could be done via the xml file.

    In Visual Studio 2010 (RC) there is no longer a "browse with" context menu when right clicking .aspx pages. How can you change the default browser now? By default it seems to use the operating system default browser, but I would prefer to use IE when debugging ASP.net apps. (I am testing this with ASP.net MVC 2)

    In Netbeans or in Eclipse, you can use "Find Usages" or "References" from the right click context menu. If a() calls b(), using the functionality from b() will show you a(). However, what I want is to be able to see some kind of tree or have an option to see all usages of a given/class or method, such that if z() calls a() that using the functionality will show both z() and a(). Any IDE plugins or external tools that can do this?

  • how do I make my submenu position dynamic based on the distance to the edge of the window?

    I'm trying to write a jQuery script that will find the distance to the right edge of the browser window from my css class element and then position the child submenu dropdowns to the right or left depending on the available space to the right. Also it needs to revert to the default settings on hoverout. I also know that it needs to revert back to default after hover out so it can recalculate the distance from other positions within the menu structure and still have those second level submenus with enough room to still display on the right of the first level. here is css for the elements in question. #dnnMenu .subLevel{ display: none; position: absolute; margin: 0; z-index: 1210; background: #639ec8; text-transform: none;} #dnnMenu .subLevelRight{ position: absolute; display: none; left: 270px; top: 0px;} The site's not live yet and I tried to create a jsfiddle but it doesn't look right.   • easy, straightforward way to package a python program for debian?

    i'm having trouble navigating the maze of distribution tools for python and debian; cdbs, debhelper, python-support, python-central, blah blah blah .. my application is a fairly straightforward one - a single python package (directory containing modules and a __init__.py), a script for running the program (script.py) and some icons and menu items (.desktop files). is there a simple straightforward way to make a .deb file out of these, or should i brave the nonsensical tools listed above?

    How can I toggle the subnav for each item, and if one is open, hide the open one to show the current one? If there are none shown, just toggle. If you click one and show subnav then and click another hide previous and show current.     Is there some cool Moria like theme for Visual Studio 2010? Mine is highlighting gray font with gray background! I just can't configure it on Tools-Options-Environment-Fonts and Colors menu. Visual Studio doesn't seem to show an item for this "highlighting keyword/tag system". You select a variable on variable called myVar, and it highlights all with the same name but with a grayer color and gray background. I just can't read it and can't set it.

    I am not the author of this code, but it is no longer maintained. So I am trying to fix it, but I have very little experience in javascript. Since Firefox 9, Components.classesByID["{3a9cd622-264d-11d4-ba06-0060b0fc76dd}"]. has been obsolete. Instead, it is suggested that document.implementation.createDocument be used. It's critical for these three elements to be in a single line because I have to apply this to all other ComboBoxes in the fieldset too. This scene is a gameplayScene which should have two layers ad childs: boardLayer and hudLayer. for now I'm testing with the boardLayer, I'm using block to call the gameplayScene to close both itself and the boardLayer, but by the time I get there the retain count of both layer is 3 (seems to be increasing after setting the block to 2, and I'm not sure when it is going up to 3) What cause this, and how should it be handled?

  • UIVIewController not released when view is dismissed

    I have a main view, mainWindow, which presents a couple of buttons. Both buttons create a new UIViewController (mapViewController), but one will start a game and the other will resume it. Both buttons are linked via StoryBoard to the same View. They are segued to modal views as I'm not using the NavigationController. So in a typical game, if a person starts a game, but then goes back to the main menu, he triggers: [self dismissViewControllerAnimated:YES completion:nil ]; to return to the main menu. I would assume the view controller is released at this point. The user resumes the game with the second button by opening another instance of mapViewController. What is happening, tho, is some touch events will trigger methods on the original instance (and write status updates to them - therefore invisible to the current view). When I put a breakpoint in the mapViewController code, I can see the instance will be one or the other (one of which should be released). I have tried putting a delegate to the mainWindow clearing the view: [self.delegate clearMapView]; where in the mainWindow - (void) clearMapView{ gameWindow = nil; } I have also tried self.view=nil; in the mapViewController. The mapViewController code contains MVC code, where the model is static. I wonder if this may prevent ARC from releasing the view. The model.m contains: static CanShieldModel *sharedInstance; + (CanShieldModel *) sharedModel { @synchronized(self) { if (!sharedInstance) sharedInstance = [[CanShieldModel alloc] init]; return sharedInstance; } return sharedInstance; } Another post which may have a lead, but so far not successful, is UIViewController not being released when popped I have in ViewDidLoad: // checks to see if app goes inactive - saves.
