User logs in to a XP computer and a PowerPoint presentations or web page starts They read through the presentation and then click a links that says: “Click here to complete presentation”. When they click the link it will send their username and time/date stamp to a text file on a server. The next time they log in they will not get the PowerPoint or web page presentation.

• Running Modern UI/Metro Apps as Administrator in Windows 8

  I noticed that on Windows 8's Start screen, I could right click a Windows legacy program (A program which runs on Windows XP, Vista and 7), and I could run it as Administrator. However, whenever I clicked on a Windows 8 Modern UI or a Metro app, I didn't have that option. So here are my questions:- Why can't I run the Modern UI apps as an Administrator? Does it make any difference as far as security is concerned?

I would be fine with writing a batch file or a .net program to do it. The Microsoft pages seem consistent on the most important points: 1 GB of system memory 40 GB hard drive with at least 15 GB of available space 128 MB of graphics memory (minimum) In my experience sometimes these recommendations are accurate. (For example, I have a Windows XP in VirtualBox that generally behaves well running in the stated minimum). If anyone has some practical experience (especially the type that could save me hours of pain), please let me know.

I'm trying to accomplish that with Virtual Audio Cable and REAUDIO3. Both tools managed to install a new device on my Windows XP machine, but on Windows Server, no new devices appear.   I've upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7 (64bit) and I found that the very convenient Sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall will not work on this version. I hear the Windows 7 firewall is good enough(even though it never prompts for outbound connections) but Kerio had a nice network monitor feature which showed all applications with inbound and outbound connections and the current speed and bytes transferred for each one. Is there any software out there that can give me similar monitoring as what Kerio does? TCPView is almost as good, but doesnt show transfer statistics.

How can I recover these files from my windows xp partition? If there's isn't a way to do this from windows, what's the best way to do it in ubuntu?
