  • Detect if a key is bound to something in vim

    I'd like to know if there is a way to figure out if a key does something in vim. I know that I can use :map to see user-defined mappings, but is there something for the built-in stuff? For example, I always had CTRL-W bound to close tab, because I thought that it was unused. After half a year, I found out that there are some sequences that use it, like CTRL-W CTRL-S to split the window, and it was a nightmare to retrain myself.

    hello guys. I struggled a lot before posting here :) now, I want to replace my default javascript confirmation for deleting a file. I saw a lot of examples here, but no example with form input.     I'm opening a 2005 SSIS pakage and also an old C# project..both are in this solution here. I'm missing namespaces and I can't find the assemblies to add back to my references folder for my C# Project Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Pipeline for example is not one I find in the list of references in the .NET references tab. So how the hell do I get these SQL Server assemblies? Do I have to install the SQL Server 2008 sdk? Lost.

  • Best Practices for Working with Multiple Monitors in Visual Studio 2010

    Now that Visual Studio 2010 has support for multiple monitors, I am curious how other people have their environments arranged. I have yet to come up with an arrangement that I am really satisfied with. The current best I have come up with for my 2 monitor system is to have all code windows detached. Then, on my primary monitor, I am able to have two code windows side by side (using the Windows 7 keyboard shortcuts WinKey+LeftArrow and WinKey+RightArrow.) On my secondary monitor I put the rest of the IDE with all of the tool windows that are normally on the bottom (errors list, find window, call stack, etc...) docked where the code windows normally go. I've also tried having all those things detached and having almost nothing in the IDE proper. The problems with this layout are: Newly opened code windows always open in the IDE, not on top of one of the detached windows. Detached code windows do not remember their exact placement from session to session (they are slightly off, having me to use the winkey + arrow key shortcut again and again for each window. There seems to be no way to have the code panes aware that they are on top of one another (IE -- multiple tabs.) The CTRL+TAB shortcut always displays on top of the IDE proper. The Code Panes are always "on top" of (children of) the IDE. So clicking on any code pane brings the IDE to the foreground, even when I care only about that code pane, and not the IDE. Other more minor issues... What would go a long way to making this better is having the code panes detach such that they are tab strips that can have other code panes docked within them. The new multi-monitor support in VS2010 is good, but it still seems really lacking. Can these issues be solved with an add-in? If so, is anyone aware of one? Is there a better way to work with the IDE on multiple monitors than what I am doing? NOTE: While this question is subjective (there is certainly no "this is the best way and that's final" answer) I'd really like to know possibly better methods of working with the IDE than what I have come up with. The intent is not to start a "mine's best" flame war.

    I am using a bit of JavaScript to show/hide sections of a site when a tab is clicked. I'm trying to figure out if there is a way I can link back to the page and have a certain tab open based on that link. At the same time when the image is clicked it opens up a new tab and tries to load the image that is being downloaded.     I find it difficult to control detailed behavior of wxwidgets auinotebooks. There seems no "SetTabToolTip" method for any tab (not the page). Setting the tooltip for the whole notebook doesn't work for tabs. After several days of googling, no valuable result found... Any hint?

  • SSRS Parameters Displaying incorrectly

    Basically, I have a datetime parameter, after picking a date with the calendar widget, the date will display correctly (12/1/2010 or 1-DEC-2010). If the parameter tab refreshes in any way, either from report processing or changing another of the parameters, the date flips the month and day (1-DEC-2010 becomes 12-Jan-2010, or 12/1/2010 becomes 1/12/2010). I'm utilizing the SSRS plugin for C# (Microsoft.Reporting.Winforms.ReportViewer). Has anyone seen anything like this?

    Does anyone know if there exists a plugin to Eclipse which can auto complete filenames for files in the project. So if I type images/s [Alt+tab] it should present a list of all files located in images starting with s. Like the auto-complete for types but using filenames. It would be really cool if it worked with all kinds of editors.

On the Commands Tab, select Toolbar, then Standard from the list Click Add Command... button Select File in the list and no Open Project ??? Can't seem to find it anywhere else either.   • How do I change the size of the menus in Visual Studio 2008?

This is the weirdest thing: For some reason, when I'm running VS 2008 in XP, and I use the 'Advanced Appearance settings' control panel to change the Size of menu items in all applications, Visual Studio 2008 is unaffected by the change. (That's Control Panel - Display - Appearance tab - Advanced - select 'Menu' from the item drop-down, and change the Font size) Anyone else noticed this? Is anyone aware of a fix? Thanks in advance!

    I have a View where I can upload an image and the image is also displayed in there like this: //ResourceStorage is a virtual directory that indicates to the pictures storage location <img src='<%=Url.Content("~/ResourceStorage/Profile/pic.jpg") %>' alt='pic' /> after I upload the picture, on the hard drive I get the new "pic.jpg" but in the browser I still have the old one (I tried clearing the cache, doesn't help)
