    Hi everybody , I have an AJAX call, which is doing this call every 5 seconds and when the call "succeed " I have a trigger success: function (msg) { ... $('#test').trigger('click'); return false; }, ... But i need to do this trigger just once , the first time, not every 5 second ! Can somebody suggest me how to stop this trigger, or maybe to use another stuff to trigger this "click " Thanks!

I need something that that can accomplish something equivalent to the Import command in Mathematica. I have tried using readdata, ImportData and fopen with little success.   • Cannot complete a JSONP call from jQuery to WCF

    Okay, I am trying (poorly) to successfully make a JSONP call from jQuery on a test page to a WCF web service running locally, as a cross-domain call. I have, at one point or another, either gotten a 1012 URI denied error, gotten a response but in Xml, or just had no response at all. Currently, the way I have it configured it spits back a 1012. I did not write this web service, so it is entirely possible that I am just missing a configuration setting somewhere, but I've become so frustrated with it that I think just asking on here will be more productive.   • Error when using Java String split

    HI All, I've been using the basic split for a while - where I just parse out a string into an array based on a simple token like " " or ",". So of course a customer tries this: \\.br\ which fails miserably. I need to parse to an array of lines. The string for example looks like this: "LINE 1\\.br\\LINE 2\\.br\\LINE 3\\.br\\LINE 4\\.br\\" and this fails with java.util.regex.PatternSyntaxException: Unexpected internal error. Any ideas?

    Hey everyone, I'm currently playing around with tipfy on Google's Appengine and just recently ran into a problem: I can't for the life of me find any documentation on how to use GET variables in my application, I've tried sifting through both tipfy and Werkzeug's documentations with no success. I know that I can use request.form.get('variable') to get POST variables and **kwargs in my handlers for URL variables, but that's as much as the documentation will tell me. Any ideas?

  • Slow (to none) performance on SQL 2005 after attaching SQL 2000 database

    Issue: Using the detach/attach SQL database from a SQL 2000 SP4 instance to a much beefier SQL 2005 SP2 server. Run reindex, reorganize and update statistics a couple of times, but without any success. Queries on SQL 2000 took about 1-2 sec. to complete, now the same queries take 2-3 min on the SQL 2005 (and even 2008 - tested it there also). Have looked at the execution plans and the overall percent matches or are alike on each server.

Isn't this poor design? What does a property called preloader have anything to do with a class for a DownloadProgressBar?

  • Using respond_to ... format.json and jQuery Form Plugin by malsup

    Hello all, I'm having a tad bit of trouble getting the jQuery Form Plugin to work properly with a file-upload field. When I use the plugin to submit the form without a file-upload field, the format.json portion of the respond_to do |format| block is called properly. However, by adding the file-upload field, it only executes the format.html portion which makes my javascript code think that an error has occurred. Has anyone run into this before or know a way to force the plugin to always use json? Alternatively, can I modify the url that the plugin uses to force Rails to render the json?   • ASP.NET Dynamically filtering data

    For a project I'm working on, we're looking for a way to dynamically add filters to a page which then control the dataoutput in, for instance, a grid. We want to add the filters dynamically because we want the customer to be able to change which properties can be filtered and what filtertype (textbox, dropdown, colourpicker, etc.) should be used. The filter should work as follows: - The customer links a filter to a certain property and specifies the filtertype (for this example: dropdown). - A user control which contains all the filter loads all filters specified - The filters load all values of the specified property as options. The first time the page loads; this would be the values of all items. - Now the user selects a value from one of the filters; the page reloads - Only items which have the specified filter value are retrieved, the user may specify one or more filters at the same time. - Once a user drills down by filtering, only filtervalues of the retrieved items should be used in the other filters. I have the following problems: - When I create the filters runtime, events are lost because the controls get recreated each postback. - I could place the filters in PreInit which should solve this, but then determining which controls should be loaded becomes a problem since loading all environment vars isn't finished yet - I don't know a good way of returning all the filter values to a central point from which I can make a good query. - The query has to be dynamic. I'm using linq which I want to make dynamic so I don't have to select everything everytime. How to make a dynamic select query based on a string stored in the database? - I have to select items based on the filtervalues and then adjust the rest of the filters to the already made selection. That kind of messes up the whole regular databinding sequence. Any help in one of the above would be great! PS: One thing I thought about was passing along filter values in the postback which would have to be recognizable. That way the server could use them for selection and then create the filters and autoselect the previously selected filtervalues. I'm not quite sure how to acheive this though...

    I am new to programming PHP and am trying to validate a field in a form. The field if for a RAL color code and so would look something like : RAL 1001. so the letters RAL and then 4 numbers.
