• Firefox fails to detect content type set by PHP

  Hi all, I want a php page to 'display' a pdf. Here is the code: <?php header("Content-type: application/pdf"); readfile('Reportage - Berlin.pdf'); //tried echo(readfile(...)) as well ?> Not very complicated I think, but somehow firefox cant detect that this is a pdf. This works in Safari but in firefox, i get a prompt to download the file, so i get like a pdftest.php file. I know im getting my file because if I rename the extension to pdf, i can open it. This seems too simple! am i missing something?

• Why is a report, in SSRS, when viewed in preview mode looks different when viewed in print layout mo

  I have a report that was originally built in report builder and then imported into Visual Studio to add some other formating to it. The report has a header and a body section. In the body section there is a column that shows commission and the commission is subtotaled for each sales person. There is a page break for each sales person as well. When I preview the report, the subtotal appears as it should for each sales person, but when I either look at it in print layout mode or send it to the printer, the subtotal appears in the body section of the next page, which is the next sales person. Why is it behaving like this and how can I fix this? Thanks.

  Hi; sorry if I'm not clear, it's not really clear in my head too (especially after trying to find my way in other posts :p) What I'm willing to do is creating DataGrids in code, with zero to numerous columns containing a button, which will call one same function but with a "parameter" (different for each column). Here is what I got so far : DataGrid created in code DataTemplate defined in the xaml resources (with a button) DataGridTemplateColumn which uses the above DataTemplate Is it possible to bind the button's properties (in the DataTemplate), to the DataGridTemplateColumn properties (in my case, the column header would be ok), and how? Is there a way to get an access to the DataTemplate components (the button for example) in code, and modify their properties? Is it possible (and not hazardous) to create a DataTemplate in code? I declared mine in xaml because I found a post advising to do so instead of code. Thanks for your help.

The program has a callback function of pcap_loop, called "got_packet". My question is: Is it possible to secure this tile so that a user needs to be logged in before the data loads?   i am working on a website where i have content entry form. This form contains a tiny mce control. The control is composed of some 40-50 files. The testing reported that the entry form loads slow and evertime shows up 50 files loading to completely load the page. Is there a way i can decrease this time. I have taken help of browser caching by setting the expires header of static content to very far date. When i access the form through its link second or later times it loads fast without saying 40 files remaining. but when i do f5 it reloads the entire page. I m confused as to how is f5 different from clicking on the link. Just to add my url is https.Any suggestion to increase the performance of this form will be great.

  i have a form, and i want to have it be limited at 10 characters minimum. that is no problem, but what i want to do is echo the error at the top of the page, which is being included, so i cant just do: echo '<div class="error">Error</div>'; i want to have a designated div that is empty (will be on the included header page), but when there is an error it gets filled with the error text to output. anyone know how to do this not using sessions or cookies?

  Is there a way to link an existing .exe file with other C++ source files during compilation? What I'm actually trying to do is to compress and decompress some files in my console program using LZMA(7zip) SDK but unfortunately it's very difficult to use for a newbie. There is a command line version of LZMA called 7za.exe and I am wondering if I can somehow embed it into my program and use it like a function. It can be easily used with system() function (which seems to be a very dangerous thing to use) but then if I send my program to someone who doesn't have 7za.exe in the right folder it won't work. I came across CreateProcess() function in windows.h header files but it seems to achieve what system() does in a more proper and advanced way. I don't know if it can actually link the exe file like an object file during compilation

  I'm using HttpRequest to download several pages from a website (in a loop). Simplifying it looks like this: HttpWebRequest req = (HttpWebRequest)HttpWebRequest.Create( "http://sub.domain.com/something/" + someString ); HttpWebResponse resp = (HttpWebResponse)req.GetResponse(); //do something I'm not quite sure actually but every request seems to resolve the address again (I don't know how to test if I'm right). I would like to boost it a little and resolve the address once and then reuse it for all requests. I can't work out how to force HttpRequest into using it, though. I have tried using Dns.GetHostAddresses, converting the result to a string and passing it as the address to HttpWebRequest.Create. Unfortunately, server returns error 404 then. I managed to google that's probably because the "Host" header of the http query doesn't match what the server expects. Is there a simple way to solve this?

  I am fairly new to C. (I have good knowledge of C# [Visual Studio] and Java [Eclipse]) I want to make a program that stores information. My first instinct was to use a database like SQL Server. But I don't think that it is compatible with C. So now I have two options: Create a struct (also typedef) containing the data types. Find a way to integrate SQLite through a C header file Which option do you think is best? Or do you have another option? I am kind of leaning toward making a struct with a typedef, but could be pursuaded to change my mind.

• How to deal with many to many relationships with NSFetchedResultsController?

  OK so I have two entities in my data model (let's say entityA and entityB), both of these entities have a to-many relationship to each other. I have setup a NSFetchedResultsController to fetch a bunch of entityA. Now I'm trying to have the section names for the tableview be the title of entityB. sectionNameKeyPath:@"entityB.title" Now this causes a problem, where by the section name returned from that relationship appears to be ({title1}) or ({title1,title2...titleN}) obviously depending on how many different entityB's are involved. This doesn't look great in a tableview and doesn't group the objects as I would like. What I would like is a section per entityB title with entityA appearing under each section, under multiple sections if necessary. I'm at a loss as how I am supposed to achieve this whether I need to update the predicate to get the entity to appear multiple times or whether I need to update the section and header functions to do some processing as the controller loops through the objects.   In CodeIgniter I'm using a base CRUD My_model, but I have this small problem in my browse-controller.. My $data['posts'] gets all posts from the table called "posts". Though the author in that table is just a user_id, which is why I need to use my "getusername" function (gets the username from a ID - the ID) to grab the username from the users table. Though I don't know how to proceed from here, since it is not just one post. Therefore I need the username to either be a part of the $data['posts'] array or some other smart solution.   Situation: I have a "dumb" Javascript frontend that can contact some kind of SSO middleware (MW). The MW can obtain sessions by issuing requests that contain authentication credentials (username, password). I.e. the session will be created for a certain user. My frontend needs to "restart" the session to gain the user's permissions to the target system. For that i need a valid session cookie. The target system is not under my control (could be a more or less public WFS, WMS, etc.), so i cannot add any SSO mechanism to it. Question: Is it possible to "steal" a Session forging a request which URL contains a valid session ID in the jsessionid parameter? Goal : Issue such a request to a Servlet and make it respond with a Set-Cookie header that contains the same id. That way the frontend joins the session and may do whatever the user, which was used to create the session, is able to do.

  I'm facing an issue with file download with IE6-8 in non ssl environment. I've seen a lot of articles about the IE attachment download issue with ssl. As per the articles I tried to set the values of Pragma, Cache-Control headers, but still no luck with it. These are my response headers Cache-Control: private, max-age=5 Date: Tue, 25 May 2010 11:06:02 GMT Pragma: private Content-Length: 40492 Content-Type: application/pdf Content-Disposition: Attachment;Filename="file name.pdf" Server: Apache-Coyote/1.1 I've set the header values after going through some of these sites KB 812935 KB 316431 But these items are related to SSL. I've checked the response body and headers using fiddler, the response body is proper. I'm using window.open(url, "_blank") to download the file, if I change it to window.open(url, "_parent") or change the "Content-Disposition" to 'inline;Filename="file name.pdf"' it works fine. Please help me to solve this problem

• XCode project complains about missing files if a linked framework contains private headers

  My Problem is this: My framework contains public and private headers - the public headers import private headers in the framework My app that links against this framework imports public headers Now when I compile it, XCode complains about missing files (the private headers that are indirectly imported via the frameworks public headers). I read somewhere on stackoverflow that I should do this: "In the public header file use @class to include other interfaces and use #import in the implementation file (.m)." I find this solution pretty unsatisfying - you have to use it for circular dependencies, too. Is there any better way to keep my headers private?

• Firefox redirect response on xhr request

  Suppose we have the xhr 'POST' request that returns 'redirect' status code. In that case browser is sending additional xhr 'GET' by the given URL. I am not sure who is doing that call chain: browser itself or js library(using MooTools). The problem is that the second 'GET' request is not recognized as xhr by the server: It doesn't have "X-Requested-With" header contains "XMLHttpRequest" The problem appears only on Firefox, but not on Webkit. So, believe it is not related to js library bug. Does anyone have ideas how to fix it?
