  • What is the best way to connect to an Oracle database to build my own IDE? [closed]

    before answer me plz thinking about the futures of these kind of program and answer me plz. I wanna get some data from oracle server like: 1-get all the function,package,procedure and etc for showing them or drop them & etc... 2-compile my *.sql files,get the result if they have problem & etc... becuz I was beginner in oracle first of all I for solve the second problem I try to connect to sqlPlus by RUN sqlplus and trace the output(I mean,I change the output stream of shell and trace what happend and handle the assigned message to customer. NOW THIS PART SUCCEED. just a little bit I have problem with get all result because the output is asynchronous.any way... [in this case I log in to oracle Server by send argument to the sqlplus by make a process in c#] after that I try to get all function,package or procedure name,but I have problem in speed!so I try to use oracle.DataAccess.dll to connect the database. now I m so confusing about: which way is correct way to build a program that work like Oracle Developer! I do not have any experience for like these program how work. If Your answer is I must use the second way follow this part plz: I search a little bit the Golden,PLedit (Benthic software),I have little bit problem how I must create the connection string?because I thinking about how I can find the host name or port number that oracle work on them?? am I need read the TNSNames.Ora file? IF your answer is I must use the first way follow this part plz: do u have any Idea for how I parse the output?because for example the result of a table is so confusing...[i can handle & program it but I really need someone experience,because the important things to me learn how such software work so nice and with quick response?] All of the has different style in output... If you are not sure Can u help me which book can help me in this way i become expert? becuz for example all the C# write just about how u can connect to DB and the DB books write how u can use this DB program,I looking for a book that give me some Idea how develop an interface for do transaction between these two.not simple send and receive data,for example how write a compiler for them. the language of book is not different for me i know C#,java,VB,sql,Oracle Thanks.

  • SSIS to copy data from one table to another, where not in destination table

    I'm in the process of creating an SSIS package on a server (server1) that looks at the data in a sql db on another site (server2) and copies relevant rows across. The SQL statement required is: SELECT * FROM server2.ordersTable WHERE OrderID Not In (SELECT OrderID FROM server1.ordersTable This selects data from server1 which isn't in the table on server2 (based on order id) I then need to insert the result into a table on server1 How would I approach this? What components do I need etc...?

  • How to load an external swf to the main stage from an instanced child class?

    Hi, I am trying to get an instance of a class to the load an external swf and show it. So far I have the following: 1) I wrote a class that uses the Loader class to load an external swf "loadExtSWF". 2) I have a fla named "MainSWF.fla" that uses a document class "MainSWF.as". 3) I have the MainSWF.as file that instances "loadExtSWF" and calls loadExtSWF.startLoad to load the swf. This almost works. The instance of loadExtSWF loads the external swf, but the swf is not displayed. If I replace the fla's document class with loadExtSWF (this has an empty constructor) instead of MainSWF, and run loadExtSWF.startLoad, then the external swf is loaded and displayed. It seems that the way I initially do it, loads the swf to the wrong stage (?). Any ideas? Thanks for the help. Bye, RaamEE P.S.   • Webdevelopment with Jetty & Maven

    I find it very frustrating doing web development with Maven & Jetty using Eclipse, compare with what I did using Visual Studio. Everytime I make a change, even a minor change in my view file, (*.jsp, for example), then I have to re-package the whole web - waiting for jetty to reload everything before I can see the change. Is there any better way to do that, some thing like an automatically plugin that will picked that changed files and deploy the changed files to web server?

    So, I've been doing android application tutorials and everytime I create a package, for example the helloAndroid tutorial is com.example.android. When it saves this to src it creates a folder for com, another for example and one last one for android.   • Project in Eclipse contains only a .project file

    I have several projects in Perforce that I need to maintain in Eclipse. I did a successful import the first time, but I've since removed all projects from the workspace and deleted the Perforce files from the P4 folder. I'm not very familiar with Perforce so I'm not sure why whenever I try to re-import those projects, all I get is a .project file instead of the whole package. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    I need to write a custom batch File renamer. I've got the bulk of it done except I can't figure out how to check if a file is already open. I'm just using the java.io.File package and there is a canWrite() method but that doesn't seem to test if the file is in use by another program. Any ideas on how I can make this work?
