  • CUPS Server compiled for Windows?

    - by Peter Illes
    Is there a version of the CUPS server available for Windows? Looking at the CUPS source code it seems it is ready for Visual Studio compilation, but I did not find any trace of an actual supported package. I'd like to set up a CUPS server on Windows so that I can print form Linux/MacOSX/Win clients to printers I set up on this server.

  • Is there a command line C++ to PDF converter with syntax highlighting?

    - by NoMoreZealots
    I need to supply "Source code documents w/ Line numbers" which is essentially just a PDF of the source code with syntax highlighting and Line numbers. Is there any existing command line tools for windows that I could call from a script as a "build release version" script? Right now I'm doing it manually using VC++, which isn't even the dev enviroment the code is for a TI processor, and a PDF printer driver, which has a pop up for each file I print.

  • Styling an If Else Statement

    - by ThatMacLad
    I know that it's not possible to style any given PHP but I do know that it is possible to style the output HTML that the PHP provides you with. I was wondering if there was any method available for me to use that would enable me to style the output from my IF ELSE statement. if ($result != false) { print "Your entry has successfully been entered into the blog."; }

  • C++ problem with string stream istringstream

    - by user69514
    I am reading a file in the following format 1001 16000 300 12.50 2002 24000 360 10.50 3003 30000 300 9.50 where the items are: loan id, principal, months, interest rate. I'm not sure what it is that I am doing wrong with my input string stream, but I am not reading the values correctly because only the loan id is read correctly. Everything else is zero. Sorry this is a homework, but I just wanted to know if you could help me identify my error. if( inputstream.is_open() ){ /** print the results **/ cout << fixed << showpoint << setprecision(2); cout << "ID " << "\tPrincipal" << "\tDuration" << "\tInterest" << "\tPayment" <<"\tTotal Payment" << endl; cout << "---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------" << endl; /** assign line read while we haven't reached end of file **/ string line; istringstream instream; while( inputstream >> line ){ instream.clear(); instream.str(line); /** assing values **/ instream >> loanid >> principal >> duration >> interest; /** compute monthly payment **/ double ratem = interest / 1200.0; double expm = (1.0 + ratem); payment = (ratem * pow(expm, duration) * principal) / (pow(expm, duration) - 1.0); /** computer total payment **/ totalPayment = payment * duration; /** print out calculations **/ cout << loanid << "\t$" << principal <<"\t" << duration << "mo" << "\t" << interest << "\t$" << payment << "\t$" << totalPayment << endl; } }

  • Python process will not exit

    - by oneself
    Hi, I'm use nosetests to run some tests. However, after the tests have finished running, the nosetests process just sits there, and will not exit. Is there anyway to diagnose this? Does Python have a facility similar to sending Java a kill -QUIT which will print a stack trace?

  • Set text equal to string and pass to receipt printer at a different size on iOS

    - by Max Roper
    I am using the StarIO SDK to print text to a receipt printer and I am trying to get a certain line of text larger than the rest. I have some help from their support but I can't really get it to go. -(void)print{ NSMutableString *final=[NSMutableString stringWithFormat:@"-----"]; [final appendFormat:@"\n\nLevel:%@ Section:%@ Row:%@ Seat:%@", [response_dict objectForKey:@"level"], [response_dict objectForKey:@"section"],[response_dict objectForKey:@"row"],[response_dict objectForKey:@"seat"]]; There is a bunch of other stuff that is printing, but that is the line that I would like to be a different size than the rest. The StarIO support said that I should try and pass that to this... -(IBAction)PrintText { NSString *portName = [IOS_SDKViewController getPortName]; NSString *portSettings = [IOS_SDKViewController getPortSettings]; [PrinterFunctions PrintTextWithPortname:portName portSettings:portSettings heightExpansion:heightExpansion widthExpansion:widthExpansion textData:textData textDataSize:[textNSData length]]; free(textData); } Would love some help if possible. :) Thanks so much. This is the main bit I think I would need from the StarIO Text formatting doc... - (id)initWithNibName:(NSString *)nibNameOrNil bundle:(NSBundle *)nibBundleOrNil { self = [super initWithNibName:nibNameOrNil bundle:nibBundleOrNil]; if (self) { array_hieghtExpansion = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init]; [array_hieghtExpansion addObject:@"1"]; [array_hieghtExpansion addObject:@"2"]; [array_hieghtExpansion addObject:@"3"]; [array_hieghtExpansion addObject:@"4"]; [array_hieghtExpansion addObject:@"5"]; [array_hieghtExpansion addObject:@"6"]; array_widthExpansion = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init]; [array_widthExpansion addObject:@"1"]; [array_widthExpansion addObject:@"2"]; [array_widthExpansion addObject:@"3"]; [array_widthExpansion addObject:@"4"]; [array_widthExpansion addObject:@"5"]; [array_widthExpansion addObject:@"6"]; array_alignment = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init]; [array_alignment addObject:@"Left"]; [array_alignment addObject:@"Center"]; [array_alignment addObject:@"Right"]; } return self; } and int heightExpansion = [pickerpopup_heightExpansion getSelectedIndex]; int widthExpansion = [pickerpopup_widthExpansion getSelectedIndex];

  • Lightweight Java reporting engine

    - by tuler
    I'm looking for a lightweight java reporting engine to be embedded in an applet application. My first option was Jasper Reports, but the jar is over 2Mb, a little too heavy (and too bloated) for my needs. I don't know if there is modular jasper distribution, with funcionalities split in several jars (like html rendering, pdf, excel, compilation, runtime, etc). I need to preview the report using Swing and print it. PDF export is a plus.

  • Binding on a port with netpipes/netcat

    - by mindas
    I am trying to write a simple bash script that is listening on a port and responding with a trivial HTTP response. My specific issue is that I am not sure if the port is available and in case of bind failure I fall back to next port until bind succeeds. So far to me the easiest way to achieve this was something like: for (( i=$PORT_BASE; i < $(($PORT_BASE+$PORT_RANGE)); i++ )) do if [ $DEBUG -eq 1 ] ; then echo trying to bind on $i fi /usr/bin/faucet $i --out --daemon echo test 2>/dev/null if [ $? -eq 0 ] ; then #success? port=$i if [ $DEBUG -eq 1 ] ; then echo "bound on port $port" fi break fi done Here I am using faucet from netpipes Ubuntu package. The problem with this is that if I simply print "test" to the output, curl complains about non-standard HTTP response (error code 18). That's fair enough as I don't print HTTP-compatible response. If I replace echo test with echo -ne "HTTP/1.0 200 OK\r\n\r\ntest", curl still complains: user@server:$ faucet 10020 --out --daemon echo -ne "HTTP/1.0 200 OK\r\n\r\ntest" ... user@client:$ curl ip.of.the.server:10020 curl: (56) Failure when receiving data from the peer I think the problem lies in how faucet is printing the response and handling the connection. For example if I do the server side in netcat, curl works fine: user@server:$ echo -ne "HTTP/1.0 200 OK\r\n\r\ntest\r\n" | nc -l 10020 ... user@client:$ curl ip.of.the.server:10020 test user@client:$ I would be more than happy to replace faucet with netcat in my main script, but the problem is that I want to spawn independent server process to be able to run client from the same base shell. faucet has a very handy --daemon parameter as it forks to background and I can use $? (exit status code) to check if bind succeeded. If I was to use netcat for a similar purpose, I would have to fork it using & and $? would not work. Does anybody know why faucet isn't responding correctly in this particular case and/or can suggest a solution to this problem. I am not married neither to faucet nor netcat but would like the solution to be implemented using bash or it's utilities (as opposed to write something in yet another scripting language, such as Perl or Python).
