  • Error in applying patch in Apache

    Recently i have installing apache 2.2.21 from the source for testing purpose. After doing clean installation of apache i want to patch it with the patches provided here: http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/patches/ Anyway when i put the patch command as mention in the page it show this result: File to patch: CVE-2011-3368.patch 1 out of 1 hunk FAILED -- saving rejects to file CVE-2011-3368.patch.rej Is there something wrong with my patch?If not,how could i verified that the patch has been implemented or not?

  • Office 2010 beta affects trial instalation

    I've found that after expiration of Office 2010 beta when I want to install trial, installation always ends up with an error 25400, even if everything is uninstalled. I've read that it's because Office refuses to install a trial after using a key that expires (like beta one). If so, is there a solution to reset that? I really need that trial. Please note that I don't want do anything illegal - I just want to use my obtained trial after betatesting Office 2010 before.

  • Cyberlink PowerDVD 9 on netbook

    I tried to install CyberLink's PowerDVD 9 on a friend's netbook. The installation went OK (even though the install screen is too big to fit and you can't see the "Next " buttons etc.), but once installed, PowerDVD 9 refuses to launch. It claims it requires at least 1024x768 resolution - the Acer netbook has 1024x600 :-( Any way / hack / trick to get PowerDVD9 to work anyway?? Couldn't it scale down to e.g. 800x600?

  • Issue tabbing between fields in Tiddlywiki

    TAB and SHIFT + TAB are great for getting in and out of fields without taking your hands off the keyboard. In my Firefox 9.0 installation I installed and then disabled Tab in Textarea 0.10.2 (tabinta) and now when I try to tab in and out of a textarea on the page using TAB and SHIFT + TAB it gives me a tab instead of the expected movement in and out of the textarea. Is there some way I can get this functionality back to normal?

    Does anyone know how to remove/uninstall Oracle Developer Suite 10g from Windows XP (SP3) ? It's not appearing in the "Add or Remove Programs" list and it doesn't have a built-in uninstaller. I've googled around for how to do this, and basically, everyone says to run the Oracle Universal Installer shipped with every Oracle product. I've tried to run it from the Oracle Developer Suite 10g installation kit, but it crashes. Anyone got any ideas?

    I'm running puppet on windows as an admin (testing on windows 7, even though it is not officially supported). When I install puppet following the windows installation instructions, no puppet.conf file is generated in C:/ProgramData/PuppetLabs/puppet/etc. I can run puppet agent --genconfig to create one, but regardless of what values I put in there, it doesn't seem to respect them. Is this just a puppet/windows issue? Or am I doing something wrong?

    As I understand it, Google Drive and Dropbox, the two cloud storage providers I happen to know, can only sync a predefined folder that is created upon installation. I'd be happy to have an automated synchronisation of my folders in the cloud, but I'm not ready to change my habits, and start saving all my documents in the folder imposed by the provider. Is it possible with one of these, or any other you might know, to sync the full Windows user folder instead?

    I am trying to use a 32bit installation of eclipse on my 64bit windows machine. I have eclipse extracted to my C: Drive and Java installed in ProgramFiles(x86) When I go to start eclipse I get the error:Failed to load the JNI shared Library"C:Program Files(x86)\Java\jre6\bin\jvm.dll" I looked and the file is not there. I am setting something up wrong?Just did a fresh install of Java before trying to run eclipse.

    My installation and setup of slapd 2.4.21 is done on Ubuntu 10.04 according to the official doc. Now ldapsearch -x will give me nothing, but ldapsearch -x -Drootdn -w rootpw will output everything. I do have olcAccess: to * by dn="cn=Manager,dc=a,dc=b" write by * read in the backend configuration. What's wrong? "getent passwd testuser" output nothing, must be due to it.     I am very stupid. I applied a windows firewall rule that blocks all tcp connection and thus kicking me out of remote desktop on a dedicated server. I managed to get into recovery via VNC, which is basically a windows xp recovery system. I have access to the physical files of the Windows Server 2008 R2 installation, but I don't know how to disable the firewall so I can reboot from recovery and connect to the W2K8 via remote desktop. Please, help.
