  • VSS causing crash in VS 2008

    We use Visual Studio 2008, with visual source safe v8. Lately, I seem to be getting a lot more crashes than usual, mainly when viewing history (comparing, etc.). When user click on link i would like to open dialog box with google map. However, because these views are rendered dynamically it does not work because js code is not injected (what can be seen in page source). How can I resolve this problem?

    I am considering upgrading my work computer to use windows 8 as the new file transferring feature seems very useful. Unfortunately after installing windows 8 on my home pc to test it out, the files are being transferred in separate dialogs as opposed to this image provided by microsoft. As I am transferring files constantly a single transfer dialog would make things much less confusing. Does anyone know what settings to change to make file transfers appear in the same window?

    If I try to access this system variable from the Run... dialog, Windows tells me the directory doesn't exist. Some system variables, like %SYSTEMROOT% and %USERPROFILE%, do work. Consequently, if I try to use a supposedly nonexistent variable like %DEFAULTUSERPROFILE% or %PROFILESFOLDER% in C#, I get nothing in return. Is there something special I need to do to get access to these variables?

  • Asterisk SIP digest authentication username mismatch

    I have an asterisk system that I'm attempting to get to work as a backup for our 3com system. We already use it for a conference bridge. Our phones are the 3com 3C10402B, so I don't have the issue of older 3com phones that come without a SIP image. The 3com phones are communicating SIP with the Asterisk, but are unable to register because they present a digest username value that doesn't match what Asterisk thinks it should. As an example, here are the relevant lines from a successful registration from a soft phone: Server sends: WWW-Authenticate: Digest algorithm=MD5, realm="asterisk", nonce="1cac3853" Phone responds: Authorization: Digest username="2321", realm="asterisk", nonce="1cac3853", uri="sip:192.168.254.12", algorithm=md5, response="d32df9ec719817282460e7c2625b6120" For the 3com phone, those same lines look like this (and fails): Server sends: WWW-Authenticate: Digest algorithm=MD5, realm="asterisk", nonce="6c915c33" Phone responds: Authorization: Digest username="sip:[email protected]", realm="asterisk", nonce="6c915c33", uri="sip:192.168.254.12", opaque="", algorithm=MD5, response="a89df25f19e4b4598595f919dac9db81" Basically, Asterisk wants to see a username in the Digest username field of 2321, but the 3com phone is sending sip:[email protected]. Anyone know how to tell asterisk to accept this format of username in the digest authentication? I would like to configure AT&T's hardware to have less control and use my trusted Linksys WRT54-G router between my computers and the 2Wire Gateway. This seems to be a common configuration for Uverse users with this hardware in other forums, but requires a "DMZPlus" mode that I'm unfamiliar with.

    Hello, i have some troubles with setting up a nameserver in PLESK for months now. I have tried all possible scenario's but i can not get this to work. I am really in need for some help, and if you can i will really appreciate it. Basically what i want is to just set up a nameserver in PLESK. I have a primary IP, and my host gave me a secondary nameserver i can use. My host is leaseweb in the netherlands. I have made some screenshots of the important parts in my opinion, maybe you guys can see some errors in them. To use the secondary nameserver provided by leaseweb i had to enable ACL on that account, i did so and made a screenshot of that too. The DNS recursion is set to localnets. These settings have not changed for months, so the dns should be fully updated everywhere.     I'm planning to buy used MacBook, I'm looking for more recent models, but detailed specification is not important. I would like to know what should I especially look at when buying used MacBook? What are common flaws in those models (manufactured 2009/2010)? I don't care about minor damages, like scratches, but would like to know what symptoms of repair/previous damage/possible failures in the future are?
