  • Looping trough feed entries with rome

    I'm trying to loop trough Atom feed entries, and get the title attribute lets say, I found this article, I tried this snipped of code : for (final Iterator iter = feeds.getEntries.iterator(); iter.hasNext(); ) { element = (Element)iter.next(); key = element.getAttributeValue("href"); if ((key != null) && (key.length() > 0)) { marks.put(key, key); } } But I get exception saying : java.lang.ClassCastException: com.sun.syndication.feed.synd.SyndEntryImpl cannot be cast to org.jdom.Element at com.emir.altantbh.FeedReader.main(FeedReader.java:47) What did I do wrong? can anyone direct me towards better tutorial or show me where did I make mistake, I need to loop trough entries and extract title tag value. thank you

  • Can't print elements in a DIV tag

    I am using a Drag-able and re-sizeable DIV's in this HTML file. Where the user will place the DIV tag to his desired place in a main parent DIV tag. Now I want to print this main DIV tag, but the problem is that the code which I'm using to PRINT this main DIV is printing in a sequence, like not the way user has arranged the DIV's. Also it doesn't take up the main DIV background IMAGE. here is the code.   • Partition of tables in MySQL

    Hello, I have read that in a case where a table has many columns, but most of the time only one of them is used (say a title column in a forum post), a way to increase performance would be a partition to two tables, where one will contain only the title and the other one will contain the other columns (such as the forum post body). However, in case I use select ForumTitle from Forum; won't that be good enough to prevent the load of all columns (such as the forum post's body) to the memory, and eliminate the need of partition?     How can I read the delay, left and top offset data for each frame of a gif? I've gotten this far. Load the Gif var myGif = new GifBitmapDecoder(uri, BitmapCreateOptions.PreservePixelFormat, BitmapCacheOption.OnLoad); Get a frame var frame = myGif.Frames[i]; From MSDN: Native Image Format Metadata Queries read (ushort)Metadata.GetQuery("/grctlext/Delay"), (ushort)Metadata.GetQuery("/imgdesc/Left"), (ushort)Metadata.GetQuery("/imgdesc/Top") But two things don't work. First the Metadata property of both the gif and the frame are always null, even if I try different animated gif files. Second, the Metadata property of the frame doesn't seem to have a GetQuery method. How do I run these queries, what did I miss? Edit: Here is sample code that gives me null metadata.   • Nav drop down with rounded corner troubles...

    Hi I have worked on the following nav drop down seen here http://charmcitykids.missionmedia.net/. It works and is almost complete, but I have one issue. When you mouseover a nav title the text goes from color to black and then shows the dropdown. That is how it should work, but when you move your mouse to go a nav title within the dropdown the black text(active image) goes back to color and doesnt remain black. Any suggestion when dropdown is active and user is navigating through such to keep the text(active image) black? thnx jonah

    Hello all, The title might be a bit misleading, but I couldn't figure out a better title. I'm writing a simple search engine which will search on several sites for the specific domain. To be concrete: I'm writing a search engine for hardstyle livesets/aftermovies/tracks. To do I will search on the sites who provide livesets, tracks, and such. The problem here is speed, I need to pass the search query to 5-7 sites, get the results and then use my own algorithm to display the results in a sorted order. I could just "multithread" it, but it's easier said then done so I have a few questions. What would be the best solution to this problem? Should I just multithread/process this application, so I'm going to get a bit of speed-up? Are there any other solutions or I am doing something really wrong? Thanks, William van Doorn

  • Embedding Youtube Videos on user's wall with the Javascript API

    I'm attempting to embed a Youtube video on a user's wall using the Javascript API. I ran a debugger and all the variables are being properly set in the data variable. This worked fine for about 2 days, and then we pushed the site live. We set up a new AppID in Facebook but now all the videos are just thumbnails instead of being embedded in the user's wall. I thought maybe this is a problem with the live site but now the dev site is broken too. What's the best way to get this to work consistently?

    I know the title is a bit confusing but bare with me. (I'm up for suggestions on a new title lol) I'm writing a TemplateEngine that will allow me to use my own markup in text based files. I'm wanting to add controls as plugins as the application matures. Currently i've got a structure like the following: interface IControl string Id object Value class Label : IControl string Id string Value class Repeater : IControl string Id List<IControl> Value Now you'll see the strange part right away in the Repeater class with the Value property. I was hoping that having the Value type as object in the interface would allow me the flexibility to expand the controls as i go along. The compiler doesn't like this and for good reason i guess. Does anyone have any suggestions how to accomplish this? Note: Please don't go into suggesting things like use Spark View Engine for templating. There is a reason i'm creating extra work for myself.

  • How can I hide the taxonomy field for authenticated users but show it for other users in Drupal 6?

    I have a Drupal (v6.17) Content Type which includes a Taxonomy field. I want to hide this from ordinary Authenticated Users, but want it available to my Site Contributor role users, so they can review and then assign tags to user-created nodes. I've tried overriding the Node Add/Edit form in Panels 3 by creating a panel variant especially for Authenticated Users, which would exclude the Taxonomy field. However, the Taxonomy field is bundled in with the "General Form" controls - without showing this, I don't get the Title and Body fields. Is there a way I can either include the Title and Body fields without Taxonomy, OR hide just the Taxonomy field when the authenticated user role creates a node. I realise there's a CCK field which might be able to help me out here, but how do I tie that to the Taxonomy module? Any help gratefully received.

Any advice, how can I get my selector rel value?

    I pretty new SQL Server Integration Server (SSIS) user. Is SSIS able to query data from text files located in another Windows Server? I mean that when SSIS is installed on Windwos Server A, is SSIS able to query data from e.g. one folder containing text files in Windows Server B (under same domain)? I have used only SAP BO Data Integrator ETL tool and it cannot query flat files from another Server: during execution, all files must be located on the Job Server machine that executes the job.

    I'm trying to change the color of write-host output based on the lastrunoutcome property of SQL Server jobs in Powershell....as in...if a job was successfull, the output of lastrunoutcome is "Success" in green....if failed, then "Failed" in red.     I'm trying out the Highcharts jQuery plugin for creating charts of data in an MVC application. But I need to get the data for the function dynamically from an Action Method. How can I do that?   • Weird Workflow Behavior in Sharepoint 2007

    I have a Document Library A and a list B. When a document added to A, an item is created in B with the Title = A.Url. Another workflow runs whenever a document is updated in A which makes a lookup: B.Title = A.Url, and changes another column in B in found item. Item Change Workflow always gives "Error Occurred: List item is not found". I modified the workflow to send me an e-mail containing the new (but unchanged) A.Url. It sent me the exact string with the one already in list B. Anyways, why it can't find the item when the two columns are equal? Thanks in advance. Edit I literally hate Microsoft Sharepoint.

    I'm having trouble figureing out how to query every item in a certain category and only list the newest 10 items by date. Here is my table layout: download_categories category_id (int) primary key title (var_char) parent_id (int) downloads id (int) primary key title (var_char) category_id (int) date (date) I need to query every file in a main category that lets say has 100 items and 5 child categories and only spit out the last 10 added. I have functions right now that just add up all the files so I can get a count by category, but I can't seem to modify the code to only display a certain amount of items based on the date.

    I've got a HABTM relationship between two models: Publication and Author. I want to ensure that one cannot create a publication with the same title, year, and author list. However, if I try something like this: class Publication < ActiveRecord::Base validates_uniqueness_of :title, :scope => [:year, :authors] end This obviously won't work since there is no authors column. Can this be done with validates_uniqueness_of, or do I need a custom validator? Thank you.

    Hi everyone, I am trying to develop a PHP driven gallery with a form that has at least four file upload boxes, each with its own title and caption. I have been using php.upload.class to process uploaded photos but not sure how I would go about handling each individual upload while preserving its details (title, caption). Is there a practical way to do this or should I instead upload just the photos and then have the user add titles and captions on the next page? Any help/suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
