  • Where are the TweetDeck settings-files located in (ubuntu-) linux?

    Hi Everybody, i'm running Windows as well as Ubuntu and like to sync both tweetdeck installations via dropbox. Therefore i need to locate two files: td_26_[username].db preferences_[username].xml I found them on windows under the folder c:\Users[account]\AppData\Roaming\TweetDeckFast.[random string]\Local Store\ But i can't find them on my ubuntu installation.   • Deleting items from a ListView using a custom BaseAdapter

    I am using a customised BaseAdapter to display items on a ListView. The items are just strings held in an ArrayList. The list items have a delete button on them (big red X), and I'd like to remove the item from the ArrayList, and notify the ListView to update itself. However, every implementation I've tried gets mysterious position numbers given to it, so for example clicking item 2's delete button will delete item 5's. It seems to be almost entirely random. One thing to note is that elements may be repeated, but must be kept in the same order. For example, I can have "Irish" twice, as elements 3 and 7. Please note that I did, at first, have the deleteButton clickListener inside the getView method, and used 'position' to delete the value, but I had the same problem. Any suggestions appreciated, this is really irritating me.

    Given two sorted lists, each containing n real numbers, is there a O(log?n) time algorithm to compute the element of rank i (where i coresponds to index in increasing order) in the union of the two lists, assuming the elements of the two lists are distinct? I can think of using a Merge procedure to merge the 2 lists and then find the A[i] element in constant time. But the Merge would take O(n) time. How do we solve it in O(log n) time?

    I am trying to make a regex that finds all names, url and phone numbers in an html page. But I'm having trouble with the phone number part. I think the problem with the numbers part is that is searches until it finds the </strong> but in that process it skips people, instead of making a empty string if the person has no phone number ( simply put instead of a list like this: url1+name1+num1 | url2+name2+"" | url3+name3+num3 it returns a list like this: url1+name1+num1 | url2+name2+num3 , with url3+name3 deleted in the process) for url, name, pnumber in re.findall('Name"><div>(?:<a href="/si([^">]*)"> )?([^<]*)(?:.*?</strong>([^<]*))?',page): I am searchin for people in s single very long line.   • Dynamically inserted input elements not showing up in ActionResult's FormCollection parameter

    I am adding input elements to a view, dynamically, using JavaScript. But I am unable to find those inputs in my ActionResult's FormCollection parameter...: public ActionResult Del(FormCollection fc) I am able to find static input elements in the View. And using FireBug in Mozilla FireFox, I can see that the inputs are inside of the form element, in the DOM, and are not floating around somewhere random. How can I access these inputs?

  • Have problems designing input and output for a calculator app

    Hello! I am writing a button calculator. I have the code split into model, view and a controller. The model knows nothing about formatting, it is only concerned with numbers. All formatting is done in the view. The model gets its input as keypresses, each keypress is a part of an enum: typedef enum { kButtonUnknown = 0, kButtonMemoryClear = 100, kButtonMemoryPlus = 112, kButtonMemoryMinus = 109, kButtonMemoryRecall = 114, kButtonClear = 99, … }; When the user presses a button (say 1), the model receives a button code (kButtonNum1), adds the corresponding number to a string input buffer ("1") and updates the numeric output value (1.0). The controller then passes the numeric output value to the view that formats it (1). This is all plain, simple and clean, but does not really work. The problem is that when user enters a part of a number (say 0.00, going to enter 0.001), the input does not survive the way through model to view and the display says 0 instead of 0.00. I know why this happens ("0.00"::string parses to 0::double and that gets formatted as 0). What I don’t know is how to design the calculator so that the code stays clean and simple and the numbers will show up on screen exactly as the user types them. I’ve already come with some kind of solution, but that’s essentially a hack and breaks the beautiful and simple flow from the calculator model to the display. Ideas? Current solution keeps track of the calculator state. If the calculator is building a number, I take the calculator input buffer (a string) and directly set the display contents (also a string). Otherwise I take the proper path, ie. take the numeric calculator output, pass it to the view as a double and the view uses its internal formatter to create a string for the display. Example input: input | display | mode ------+---------+------------ 0 | 0 | from string 0. | 0. | from string 0.0 | 0.0 | from string 0.0+ | 0 | from number This is ugly. (1) The calculator has to expose its input buffer and state. (2) The view has to expose its display and allow setting its contents directly using a string. (3) I have to duplicate some of the formatting code to format the string I got from the calculator input buffer. If user enters 12345.000, I have to display 12,345.000 and therefore I’ve got to have a commification code for strings. Yuck.

  • iPhone: value of selectedIndex for tab should be consistent, but isn't

    This should be so simple... but something screwy is happening. My setup looks like this: MainViewController Tab Bar Controller 4 tabs, each of which loads WebViewController My AppDelegate contains an ivar, tabBarController, which is connected to the tab bar controller (this was all set up in Interface Builder). The leftmost tab is marked "selected" in IB. Within the viewWillAppear method in WebViewController, I need to know which tab was just selected so I can load the correct URL. I do this by switching on appDelegate.tabBarController.selectedIndex. When the app first runs and the leftmost tab is selected, selectedIndex is a large garbage value. After that, I get values from 0 to 3, which is as it should be, but they are in random order. Not only that, but each tab I touch reports a different value each time. This app is extremely simple right now and I can't imagine what I could have done to make things go this wrong. Has anyone seen (and hopefully solved) this behavior? Update: we have a request for code. There's not much to see. The tab bar controller gets loaded in applicationDidFinishLaunching: [self.mainViewController view]; //force nib to load [self.window addSubview:self.mainViewController.tabBarController.view] There is currently no code whatsoever in MainViewController.m other than the synthesize and release for tabBarController. But can I do this on my websites and can I include different versions of my CSS file just by changing the numbers?

    From my experience so far, it seems that if you write a script that makes lots of expensive calls close together, the functionality just "hangs", or you get inconsistent responses, and have to refresh the browser because sheets stop updating etc. Are there any docs or specs that clarify this, as releasing an app fr real-world use is not possible if users can expect it to work most of the time, and produce random results every now and then...

    I have a bomb project where I need to defuse certain phases by finding "pas phrases" that will defuse the bomb. Right now I have been working with phase_2, for which the assembly code is shown below. Phase_2 requires as an input 6 numbers, which I need to find in order to defuse this phase. I analyzed this assembly, and I came up with the C code below, that covers lines from 40101c to 401044. It is basically a for loop that makes sure that elements t[0]==t[3], t[1]==t[4] and t[2]==t[5] that the user inputs, are equal. According to my logic, the user can input any 6 numbers as long as the above condition is satisfied. Say 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3 would be a valid "pas phrase". However this solution does not convince me for some reason.   • Loading external pngs into an AS2 swf that is loaded into an AS3 swf wrapper

    I have a Wrapper SWF that loads a series of AS2 movies. Each AS2 movie loads a series of .png files. AS3_wrapper.swf |-> AS2_1.swf |-> image_1.png |-> image_2.png |-> AS2_2.swf |-> image_1.png |-> image_2.png Inside of the AS2 I listen for the load of the pngs using onLoadInit and update my UI. This works fine for the first AS2 swf. But when I load the second AS2 swf the onLoadInit isn't triggered for the pngs. My guess is that the images are in a cache or something like that. I put a random string on the end of the request to try and avoid the cache but that doesn't seem to work. The code in the as2 looks roughly like this: var flagLoader:MovieClipLoader = new MovieClipLoader(); var listener:Object = new Object(); listener.onLoadInit = Delegate.create(this, handleImageLoad); flagLoader.addListener(listener); var row:MovieClip = frame1["row" + (numLoaded + 1)]; flagLoader.loadClip(predictionData[numLoaded].flag + "?r="+Math.random(), row.flag); I'm making sure to load only one image at a time (I've read anecdotal evidence loading more than one thing at a time can confuse the MovieClipLoader). For the first as2 file everything works great. When I load the second as2 file the handleImageLoad never gets called. Update: Even more perplexing is if I reload the first AS2 movie (after the second AS2 movie fails to load the images) the first AS2 movie loads the images again fine. Update 2: After trying to change from using a MovieClipLoader to polling (as was helpfully suggested) I have found some more evidence that is relevant. When I load the first AS2 files and trace from the top level clip it prints out _root. The second AS2 file when loaded traces the same _root. This lead me to check if they were clashing on names and they are. Both have a child called frame. The first one, when I trace it comes out as _root.frame as expected. The second AS2 file traces _level0.instance3.instance118.instance111.frame. I'm guessing this is related to the problem. Flash is keeping the _root of the two files the same but it is changing the locations of their children (for subsequently loaded files that have children with the same names). So either the onLoad is going to the wrong clip or the events about it loading are.

Does anybody have any experience or suggestions of a best practice for achieving sequence number generation in a thread safe manner for multiple clients?

A real life example would be something that would tell you how to use the most space in a UPS truck. Does anyone know of a good place to start for something like this?     I was browsing around and found this blog post: http://erikej.blogspot.com/2010/04/version-3-of-exportsqlce-now-available.html (It is for a great add in if you user SQL Server CE.) On that post I saw an screen shot of SSMS with images in the results. How is this done? I have images in my database (PNG files that are serialized via memory stream), but I just see numbers when I select the image column.
