I need to create a dynamic array in Java, but the values type differ from String to Int to float. how can I create a dynamic list that I don't need to give it in advanced the type of the values? The keys just need to be ascending numbers (1,2,3,4 or 0,1,2,3,4) I checked ArrayList but it seems that I have to give it a fixed type for the values. thanks!

The number is formatted with commas. e.g. User enters 100000 textfield looses focus value displayed: 100,000 How can I achieve this in Grails.   I'm trying to make a test for checking whether a sys.argv input matches the regex for an IP address... As a simple test, I have the following... import re pat = re.compile("\d{1,3}.\d{1,3}.\d{1,3}.\d{1,3}") test = pat.match(hostIP) if test: print "Acceptable ip address" else: print "Unacceptable ip address" However when I pass random values into it, it returns "Acceptable ip address" in most cases, except when I have an "address" that is basically equivalent to \d+ Any thoughts welcome.   Well i'm totaly lost here, i am using jquery ui sliderwidget to make this quite simple menu but i just can't figure out a basic formula to make menu items slide along with with scroll bar. • Whats a valid strategy for a secure image upload from a flash client?

  Hi all - I'm creating a flash application that will post images to a url for saving to disk/display later. I was wondering what are some suggested strategies for making this secure enough so that the upload is verified as coming from the application and not just some random form post. Is it reliable enough to check referring location realizing that I don't need bulletproof security, or perhaps setting authentication headers is a better strategy even though it seems unreliable from what I have read. (To know it's working, /T:/ does strip the last bit of that string). What's the encoding error doing on here? Alternately, I would accept a concise way to take out just the numbers.
