  • jquery fade element does not show elements styled 'visibility: hidden'

    I have a bunch of thumbnails which I am loading with a style of visibility: hidden; so that they all maintain their correct layouts. Once the page is fully loaded I have a jquery function that fades them in. This worked when their style was set to display: none; but obviously the layout screwed up then. Any suggestions? Heres the fade line: $('.littleme').fadeIn('slow');

    I'm looking for a way to sanitize input that I paste into the browser, is this possible to do with jQuery? I've managed to come up with this so far: $(this).live(pasteEventName, function(e) { // this is where i would like to sanitize my input return false; } Unfortunately my development has come to a screeching hold because of this "minor" issue.     how do you access the class attribute of a in a jQuery selector statement? for example <asp:CheckBox runat="server" ID="cbTest" Text="Cb Test" FieldName="1st Test Check Box" class="toggleBox"/> this: $(':checkbox').toggleAttr("checked", true, false) accesses the checkbox and applies a custom function to the checked attribute but if i want to filter based on a certain class how do i access/filter based on that?

At the moment I'm binding a click event to $(':not(#the_menu)') But this seems like I'm binding a click event to the entire minus the menu, is there a more efficient way of doing something like this?

    I'm trying to fade an element in and out, but with a slight pause in between, it works without the pause, but when I add the pause using the jQuery delay()-function, it just stops; Here's the code: $('#headerimage2').each(function(){ for(i=1;i<50;i++){ $(this).fadeOut(1200).delay(1000).fadeIn(1000).delay(1000); } }); Why does the delay()-function (both first and second) break the loop?
