• The best way to package iPhone/iPad static libraries?

  Hi everyone, I have a couple of static Phone/iPad libraries I an working on. The problem I am looking for advise on is the best way to package the libraries. My objective is to make it easy to use the libraries in other projects and include the correct one in a build with minimal problems. To make it more interesting I currently build 4 versions of each library as follows armv6/armv7 release (devices) i386 release (simulator) armv6/armv7 debug (devices) i386 debug (simulator) The difference between the release and debug versions is that the debug versions contain a lot of NSLog(...) code which enables people to see whats going on internally as an aid to debugging. Currently when I build the whole projects I arrange the libraries into two directories like this: release lib-device.a lib-simulator.a debug lib-device.a lib-simulator.a This works ok except that when include in projects, both paths are added to the library search path and switching a target from one to the other is a pain. Or alternatively I end up with two targets. The alternative I am thinking of is to change the directories like this: release device lib.a simulator lib.a debug device lib.a simulator lib.a In playing with XCode is appears that all xcode uses the lbrary references of a project for is to get the name of the library file, which it then looks up in the library paths. Thus by parameterising the library path with the current built type and target device, I can effectively auto switch. What do you guys think? Is there a better way to do this? ciao Derek

Is there any solution for this issue? or other reason to make it happened?

  Hello, im fairly new to objective-c, most of it is clear however when it comes to memory managment I fall a little short. Currently what my application does is during a NSURLConnection when the method -(void)connectionDidFinishLoading:(NSURLConnection *)connection is called upon I enter a method to parse some data, put it into an array, and return that array. • Using Knockout.js to bind bootstrap daterange picker and parse span contents

  I'm new to knockout and trying to get what should be a simple task up and running. I'm working on an MVC4 .NET app with the intention of binding a date range picker to make ajax requests for updating Highchart graph data. I'm using Dan Grossman's bootstrap-themed date picker and it's been great so far (https://github.com/dangrossman/bootstrap-daterangepicker). The basic goal is to watch the span that this jQuery date ranger picker updates, and then use knockout to pass this value to another part of the app for the ajax request. I've tried everything I can find online.. valueUpdate:change on the span to using some jQuery within knockout to get the same goal done, to using a subscribe function to watch the value of the span before and after the date picker is used. Apparently this uses the jQuery .change() event handler, which is only good on inputs, selects, and textareas.. not spans. • Why does my UIWebView not Allow User Interaction?

  Hi, I'm new to these forums so I apologize for my noobieness. I did as thorough a search as I could, but I couldn't find anyone else with this issue, applogise if this has been covered elsewhere. I've created a very simple example of my problem. I'm sure I'm missing something but I can't for the life of me figure out what. I'm creating a UIWebView and adding it to a custom view controller that inherits from UIViewController. When the app loads in the iPad simulator, the uiwebview loads the desired page, but the UIWebView is entirely unresponsive. The webview does not pan or scroll and none of the in page links can be clicked. However, if you change the orientation of the webview suddleny everything works. Thanks in advance for your help!!   Hello everyone! I'm trying to use DevIL with XCode but I can't get it to work. I tried using the "standard" method by doing "configure make make install" and using #import <IL/il> but it doesn't work. The report parameter would be a queried one i.e. it would have a list of values in which the passed value should fall in. The strange part is that if the date time value passed to this parameter is passed in this format mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss AM/PM then only it succeeds otherwise a error is displayed (If month/date/hour/minute/second is having a single digit value then we need to pass single digit value to parameter as well). Assuming that the report server picks this format from the "regional settings" in control panel, we tried modifying the date & time formats as yyyy-mm-dd & HH:mm:ss but the outcome was the same. On researching more I found some suggestions specifying to change the language property in the rdl (I was not able to figure out how) but this would not be the solution I am looking for. I also found another topic here but it didn't provide the solution but it didn't provide the solution we are looking for. I need to understand on if this format is controlled by the report server & is it configurable. It would be great if someone can provide some guidance. Thanks.

  I tried to find the answer of my question on the internet, but I could not. I have a simple entity in Core data that has a Value attribute (that is integer) and a Date attribute. I want to define two methods in my .m file. First method is the ADD method. It takes two arguments: an integer value (entered by user in UI) and a date (current date by default). and then insert a record into the entity based on the arguments. Second method is like an increment method. It uses the Date as a key to find a record and then increment the integer value of that record. I don't know how to write these methods. (assume that we have an Array Controller for the table in the xib file)

  I've been working on a game with an engine that updates 20 times per seconds. I've got to point now where I want to start getting some performance figures and tweak the rendering and logic updates. In order to do so I started to add some timing code to my game loop, implemented as follows... NSDate* startTime = [NSDate date]; // Game update logic here.... // Also timing of smaller internal events NSDate* endTime = [NSDate date]; [endTime timeIntervalSinceDate:startTime]; I noticed however that when I timed blocks within the outer timing logic that the time they took to execute did not sum up to match the overall time taken.   If I had a date picker within an action sheet and called the following line: [datePicker setDate:newDate animated:YES]; And then my app hides the action sheet the date picker is within, is there anyway to set up a animation delegate so that the user see's the animation of the date picker first and then hides the action sheet? I have done this with UIView's by calling: [UIView setAnimationDelegate:self]; [UIView setAnimationDidStopSelector:@selector(METHOD)]; However I can not see anything like this for the date picker.   I've been doing things like this in the clean method: if self.cleaned_data['type'].organized_by != self.cleaned_data['organized_by']: raise forms.ValidationError('The type and organization do not match.') if self.cleaned_data['start'] > self.cleaned_data['end']: raise forms.ValidationError('The start date cannot be later than the end date.') But then that means that the form can only raise one of these errors at a time. Is there a way for the form to raise both of these errors?
