  Hello, When a user enters his login information and hits submit, i want to check if the user already exists or not. So, i have the following two questions 1. Which hook is needed to be implemented , for the case when user hits the submit button on the login form. I need the username entered by the user. 2.   Hello guys, What I have in mind is this... We are going to have people come from a particular site during a acquisition campaign and was wondering how I could conditionalize a certain section of my site to display a thank you message instead of the sign up form as they would have had the opportunity to fill this out before coming to my landing page. I have seen solutions like: $referal = mysql_real_escape_string($_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER']); I would like to know if this is the best way to get this to work??? - okay this is what i think might work. The third party website that is referring people to our landing page once the form on that site has been filled out can push into the record a hidden input value of "www.sample.com" or whatever... then I can have something check the for that particular value and fire off the conidtional. Does that even sound right?

  Sample jquery. Assume $cog is a cached selector of multiple items. $cog.fadeOut('slow',function(){ alert('hey'); }) In that example, of $cog is a jQuery object of 4 DOM elements, the above will fade each element out one by one, and trigger an alert each time on the callback (4 alerts). I'd like to only call the alert when all 4 elements are done with their fadeOut function. This: $cog.fadeOut('slow',function(){ }) alert('hey'); when run, will show an alert, then the $cog elements disappear (I'm guessing due to timing issues with the fadeOut animation) Is there a way when calling a function against multiple DOM objects in a jQuery object to know when it's done with the last item?

• MoveWindow API doesn't work well on Vista

  Hello! I have an application on Vista which loops through all processes and finds associated main windows in order to move and resize them. The problem is that some windows get moved and resized and some don't. Also it even seems that moved and resized windows aren't moved and resized according to the MoveWindow function call because they are resized to title bar and all of them are on the same line (same y coordinate). Here's the sample code: IntPtr handle; Process[] processList = Process.GetProcesses(); int i = 0; foreach (Process process in processList) { handle = process.MainWindowHandle; if (handle != IntPtr.Zero) //If the process has window then move and resize it. { bool moveResult = MoveWindow(handle, i * 50, i * 50, 500, 500, true); i++; } } Is this because of Vista? What alternative should I use?

  I would like to send a html string with a GET request like this with Apaches HttpClient: http://sample.com/?html=<html><head>... This doesnt work at the moment, i think its an encoding problem. Do you have any ideas how to do that? method.setQueryString(new NameValuePair[] {new NameValuePair("report", "<html>....")}); client.executeMethod(method) This fails with org.apache.commons.httpclient.NoHttpResponseException: The server localhost failed to respond. If i replace "<html>" by "test.." it works fine. EDIT It seams to be a problem of URL length after encoding, the server doesnt except such long URls. Sending it as POST solves the problem.

• Magento - Using alternative "reviews count" on category list page

  Hi All I noticed that on the category list page, the number of reviews (pulled from frontend/base/default/template/review/helper/summary_short.phtml) lists the full amount of reviews for an item, not the amount available to the store view you’re on. So, for example (using the sample data) the Samsung MM-A900M Ace has 5 reviews - however, when you click that link and are taken to the reviews page, it actually just has 2 (as only 2 are available to the English view). But on the reviews page, the review count is correct and says 2 reviews (this time pulled from frontend/base/default/template/review/product/view/count.phtml). Is there any way to use this review count on the category list?

  I'm completely new to M-V-VM and very new to Silverlight, just reading about it for the first time today. As a sample, I am creating a model containing a list of items. My (Silverlight 4) View contains a listbox and my ViewModel will look to the model to retrieve the collection that the listbox will bind to. My question is this. I think it would be good to use an ObservableCollection to hold the items that the listbox binds to. This would be an ObseravleCollection in the ViewModel. Should I also use this type of collection in the model, or should I use another collection type and do smoe conversion between model and viewmodel?

  Ok, I created a windows control project....dropped a comboBox on it, wrote some custom code that I wanted on its event ( Text Changed event, etc) ... I can also compile it and drop it on a new WinForms App... good. But in my sample WinForms app that I want to use it, I cannot access the properties of that combo box.. it does not list them .. properties like SelectedItems, etc... what Am I doing wrong? this is my first time creating a custom control tho.   I'm attempting to call LinkedIn's API and store Network Updates. Each update has a Unix timestamp that I'm retrieving as a string variable from the REST XML response. I want to convert the string timestamp to a mysql datetime format. The date() function accepts an integer as the second argument for time to be converted. However, I'm on Windows 32 bit PHP and the integer type for this platform is limited to 2147483647. $timestamp = '1293714626675'; // sample pulled from linkedin $timestamp = (int) $timestamp; // timestamp now equals 2147483647 $mysqlDatetime = date('Y-m-d H:i:s', $timestamp); // produces incorrect time Is there a better method of creating the mysql datetime in PHP? I realize that I can convert it upon insert into MySQL however, that would require changing other dependent code.

I have a data table structured like this: Table: Data DataID Val 1 Value 1 2 Value 2 3 Value 3 4 Value 4 Then I have another table structured like this: Table: Table1 Col1 Col2 1 2 3 4 4 3 2 1 Both columns from Table1 point to the data in the data table. How can I get this data to show in a query? For example, a query to return this: Query: Query1 Column1 Column2 Value 1 Value 2 Value 3 Value 4 Value 4 Value 3 Value 2 Value 1 I'm familiar enough with SQL to do a join with one column, but lost beyond that.   Hi guys, i've a huge problem. I know this because i'm using MySQL Administration tool to check how many connection i open "line by line" of my source code. In fact i get a lot of time "user has exceeded the 'max_user_connections' resource (current value: 5)" My hoster permit ONLY 5 connection, but i think that if i write GOOD source code, this cannot be a problem. So my question is: why that "damn" connections remain open ?? Thank you in advance!

  In reference to the statement set.seed(), can I get the seed instead after running some code if I didn't set it explicitly? I've been re-running some code containing a function that randomises some sample of the input data (the function is part of the kohonen package). After playing with it for some time to see the variety of output (it was an 'unstable' problem), I noticed one result that was pretty interesting. I of course had not used set.seed(), but wondered if I could get the seed after running the code to reproduce the result? In ?set.seed I see .Random.seed saves the seed set for the uniform random-number generator But I don't know how that helps.

I would like to have a one-off registration page for users to key-in information when they open the application for the first time. • Documents/Images display fine in Simulator, but not on my device

  Hello. My application is running fine on the simulator, but not on the device. Basically, any documents from the web (PDF, Word, M4P videos) are working great on the simulator (and can be accessed from Safari on the iPhone). However, running on the iPhone, they don't display anything.   Hello! I'm trying to come up with a lightning fast solution to find portions in a string. Here is a Sample string: "PostLoad successful! You transferred amount of 17.00 Rs to 03334224222. Now use PostLoad by dialing 123. PostLoad on SMS will end on 01-03-2011." Objective: Need to retrieve the bold values: Amount and Cell Number. The string contents change slightly but the cell number will always be a 11 digit. The amount is always with two decimal precision. Any suggestions using C# and RegEx?
