I want these JPanels to appear inside the JFrame on action of different menu items, so that whenever the menu items are clicked different JPanels should appear inside the JFrame. I have designed both JFrame & JPanel separately, but I couldn't link them together. Please help me out friends.

    I am creating a kiosk application and I want to ensure it is always, no matter what, on top of other Windows applications and the Windows task bar. I am already blocking Windows keyboard commands (alt-tab, etc) but there are still situations that could cause an application to launch and steal the screen. Is it possible to hook into Windows from .NET and continually test whether the application has focus and is on top, and if not then give it focus and make it on top?

In SSMS there are info related to the connection, but sometimes are not properly displayed and/or hidden. I know that it is possible to customize the status bar of each connection in SSMS, but how do you ensure that your developer is connecting to the right server before he runs a query?     Here is my problem: Given x, y, z and ratio where z is known and ratio is known and is a float representing a relative value, I need to find x and y. I know that: x / y == ratio y - x == z What I'm trying to do is make my own scroll pane and I'm figuring out the scrollbar parameters. So for example, If the scrollbar must be able to scroll 100 values (z) and the thumb must consume 80% of the bar (ratio = 0.8) then x would be 400 and y would be 500. Thanks

  • JQUERY, scrollTo, after scrolling down, the page won't let me scroll up for a second... Y?

    I'm using the following JQUERY to attach an even to a link in the header, which essentially scrolls to the bottom of the page: $('#comment-count-btn').click(function(){ $('html,body').scrollTo('#comment-wrapper', 500); }); Problem is, that it scrolls all the way to the bottom of the page (which is correct), but then when I try to scroll up a tad, the scroll bar jumps, as if it's locked for a little bit. Any ideas?

  • Help with C# program design implementation: multiple array of lists or a better way?

    I'm creating a 2D tile-based RPG in XNA and am in the initial design phase. I was thinking of how I want my tile engine to work and came up with a rough sketch. Basically I want a grid of tiles, but at each tile location I want to be able to add more than one tile and have an offset. I'd like this so that I could do something like add individual trees on the world map to give more flair. Or set bottles on a bar in some town without having to draw a bunch of different bar tiles with varying bottles. But maybe my reach is greater than my grasp. I went to implement the idea and had something like this in my Map object: List<Tile>[,] Grid; But then I thought about it. Let's say I had a world map of 200x200, which would actually be pretty small as far as RPGs go. That would amount to 40,000 Lists. To my mind I think there has to be a better way. Now this IS pre-mature optimization. I don't know if the way I happen to design my maps and game will be able to handle this, but it seems needlessly inefficient and something that could creep up if my game gets more complex. One idea I have is to make the offset and the multiple tiles optional so that I'm only paying for them when needed. But I'm not sure how I'd do this. A multiple array of objects? object[,] Grid; So here's my criteria: A 2D grid of tile locations Each tile location has a minimum of 1 tile, but can optionally have more Each extra tile can optionally have an x and y offset for pinpoint placement Can anyone help with some ideas for implementing such a design (don't need it done for me, just ideas) while keeping memory usage to a minimum? It was a generic form like : <form id="someid" name="someName" action="someAction.do"> ... </form> I test it in IE8 and Firefox 3,both are very slow. My network condition is fine, my server works great. What could be the problem?

    I wanto to match the last occurence of a simple pattern in a string, e.g. list = re.findall(r"\w+ AAAA \w+", "foo bar AAAA foo2 AAAA bar2) print "last match: ", list[len(list)-1] however, if the string is very long, a huge list of matches is generated. Is there a more direct way to match the second occurence of "AAAA" or should I use this workaround?

    New Dell PowerEdge R910, 4x8 Intel X7560, 192GB RAM, hardware NUMA, local RAID, Broadcom NetExtreme II multiport NIC, unteamed, TCP Offload disabled, RSS disabled, NetDMA disabled, Hyperthreading disabled. SQL Server 2005 SE x64 SP3 on Windows Server 2008 R2 EE x64. No other apps on server. Max Mem = 180GB, Max DOP = 4. Existing Windows Server 2003 R2 EE x64 app server connecting to Dell via firewall using SQL Authenticated logins. Symptoms: Intermittent errors at the app server: A transport-level error has occurred when sending the request to the server. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.) Findings: Running queries from SSMS located on another machine within the same domain as the SQL Server run without error. SQLIO showed good performance. Windows and SQL logs show no related messages. Microsoft reveiwed PssDiag trace and stated that "We are not seeing timeouts from SQL Side. The queries bring run against the database are timing out within 9secs. This is a database connectivity error." "we can also see from the AttnSeq column that we are also not seeing any Attentions from the SQL Side.". Dell has confirmed that we are using the latest Broadcom drivers.
