  • Can nullptr be emulated in gcc?

    I saw that nullptr was implemented in Visual Studio 2010. I like the concept and want to start using it as soon as possible; however GCC does not support it yet. My code needs to run on both (but doesn't have to compile with other compilers). Is there a way to "emulate" it? Something like: #define nullptr NULL (but obviously that wouldn't work well at all, I was simply showing what I meant).

Open your project in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. 2. Under Project, select Properties. 3. In Properties, select Manifest Tool, and then select Input and Output. 4. But i am getting lot of Syntax errors Is there any problems in the way which i followed.If i commented the line define MANIFEST_RESOURCE_ID 1 MANIFEST_RESOURCE_ID RT_MANIFEST "myproject.exe.manifest" which added in Myproject.h for adding values in .rc file there willnot any error other than this general error c1010070: Failed to load and parse the manifest.     Where can I find information on how to properly document a programming language? What I mean is that there seems to be a standard way to document code. php.net and api.jquery.com seem to document there code the a similar way. For example, the trim() description on php.net. string trim ( string $str [, string $charlist ] ) And likewise on jquery.com .animate( properties, [ duration ], [ easing ], [ callback ] ) Does anyone even know what this syntax is called?

    Hi, I wonder if is the Android multi-touch support reliable? I've read it suffers from some problems. I also wonder, how can I define custom multi-touch gestures? Like: 3 fingers rotate or 3 fingers stay static and fourth is moving. I've come across some resources (Gestures or MotionEvent on developer.android.com) but nothing states it clearly.     I was following a video tutorial by Adam Keys about how to make a URL shortener app in Sinatra. The code that is giving me problems is located here http://pastie.org/958644 So when I ran it I got this error: shortener.rb:12: syntax error, unexpected $undefined, expecting $end @@ home I typed it exactly as Adam said but this keeps happening. I know I can't declare a TList<integer> as a published property, because it doesn't descend from TPersistent. I've read that you can define "fake" published properties if you override DefineProperties, but I'm not quite sure how that works, especially when it comes to creating a fake property that's a list, not a single value. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I have methods that return a value when passed an an object as parameter, such as: <%= average_rainfall(@location) % I'd like to use the exact same methods as a nested resource to call via jQuery/Ajax, like so: .load('/location/8/average_rainfall') I understand how to define the route, but how do I tell my method to 'find' /location/8 and use that as it's parameter instead of @location as expected?     If I just want a sorted list of just dates, integers, or doubles is it really necessary to have to define a SortedList(of Integer, Integer)? Seems intriguing to me, but may just be trival. I'd prefer just to use a SortedList(of Integer). (This question is in relation to the .Net generic collections)
