  • Cannot add SourceSafe Database as Visual Studio 2010 source control.

    My issue is that I cannot add SourceSafe Database for source control within Visual Studio 2010. Our team was initially using VSS for source control in Visual Studio 2010. During an evaluation of TFS, I switched my source control to TFS. It will be a few weeks before a decision is made on TFS, so I needed to switch my source control back to VSS. However I'm now unable to add a SourceSafe Database in Visual Studio. Steps to Reproduce in Visual Studio 2010: 1) Access the 'Open SourceSafe Database' form via Tools-Options-Source Control-Plug-in Settings--Advanced or via File-Source Control 2) The list of available database is blank so I choose 'Browse'. 3) I browse to the srcsafe.ini file for my VSS database and select it. 4) I'm promted to confirm the Database Name - Click OK. 5) The database does not appear in the 'Open SourceSafe' Database form. The list of available databases is still blank. Note that I can add the database fine outside of Visual Studio using VSS directly. However the databases I add via VSS do not appear in the Visual Studio forms. I'm suspicious that this is related to "down-grading" from TFS to VSS which may not have been heavily tested at MS. Any assistance is appreciated.

  • jquery Tab - Open Link in current panel does not work

    Hi, I just started playing around with the Jquery ui tabs. The content of the Tabs consist mainly of static content at the beginning. Now some of the content within the panels do have Links to some kind of subcontent. So if the User clicks on a link in the panel I would like to replace the content of the current panel with the content coming from the link. So I used the script directly from the jquery ui tab documentation but I can't get it to work. It is always opening the link directly, not within the panel. The code I use for testing is quite simple: <div id="MyTabs"> <ul> <li><a href="#TestTab1">TestTab</a></li> <li><a href="#TestTab2">TestTab</a></li> </ul> <div id="TestTab1"> Lorem ipsum dolor. dumm di dumm <a href="http://mywebserver/somelink">Test</a> </div> <div id="TestTab2"> Lorem ipsum dolor. dumm di dumm 2 <a href="http://mywebserver/somelink2">Test 2</a> </div> </div> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $('#MyTabs').tabs({ load: function(event, ui) { $('a', ui.panel).click(function() { $(ui.panel).load(this.href); return false; }); } }); }); Additionally, if I have the content of the panel loaded using an AJAX call no link within the panel is working whatsoever. I replaced the Javascript with the following snippet: $(function() { $("#MyTabs").tabs(); $("#MyTabs").bind('tabsshow', function(event, ui) { AddClickHandler(ui); }); }); function AddClickHandler(ui) { $('a', ui.panel).click(function() { MyAlert("AddClickHandler"); $(ui.panel).load(this.href, AddClickHandler(ui)); return false; }); } After this change all links on a panel will update the content of the current panel. So far so good. Still one problem left. I can't get it to work for subsequent links. I tried to do it with the second "AddClickHandler" for callback when the ajax call has finished. Using a different function with a simple alert showd it is actually been called when the content of the panel has been updated. But I can't bind anything to the new links in that content. The "$('a', ui.panel)..." doesn't work. What would be the correct selector for this? Any hint? Regards Maik

    I have a div that I have bound the jQuery hover event to activate a slideDown using slideToggle: <div class="Square"> <div class="RedSquare"></div> <div class="GraySquare"></div> </div> $("div.RedSquare").hover( function() { $(this).siblings("div.GraySquare").slideToggle("fast"); }, function() { $(this).siblings("div.GraySquare").slideToggle("fast"); } ); It toggles a div '.GraySquare' right below it. Basically making a gray box slide down from the red box. The problem I am facing is that when the mouse moves over the gray div the slide toggles up. I want it to remain down when hovering over the red or gray square. Any help is appreciated.

    hi, i hope you guys know about webim a.k.a mibew messenger. I know only java, jsp and no idea about php except for some basics. Anyways, i ran this app in my apache2.2 local server. Everything works superb! But if i change my db to a virtual machine and give its address in the config.php (previously i had used localhost), in the visitors page, i get timeout, reconnecting. Login has no prob, so my guess is db connection is fine. I even changed the default page refresh time from 2 to 10. Nothing happens. Still same thing. You guys have any idea?

    Hi, I have a legacy 32-bit application written in Borland's C++ Builder. I need to show specific pages from within a HtmlHelp file programmatically. Until now I've been doing this via HtmlHelp.ocx, but this does not work on x64 versions of Windows Vista / Windows7 as described in this thread. I can't compile the application as 64-bit executable. Therefore the only workaround I have found so far is to create a 32-bit component implementing a COM object which loads and calls into the 32-bit DLL, and exposes the 32-bit DLL interface as a COM interface. That sounds far too complicated just to display a chml file with a specific topic. There must be something else. But what is it?

  • IE8 Developer Tools won't open

    Just installed IE8 on WinXP. Trying to use the Dev Tools but, clicking on the menu item or hitting F12 doesn't do anything. I can see the option in the tools menu, just can't use it. I've checked to make sure it wasn't opening minimized or off screen and I've checked the registry settings used to disable them. Those registry keys don't even exists. Suggestions? I was going to reinstall, but, thought I'd check here first.

    I have an application that I started with the Utility Application template. I'm using the Flipside for the Settings screen. I'm having the settings serialized to a file when the app is closed and deserialized when the app is opened. If there is no file to deserialize at startup, I want the flipside to be shown so the user can enter required information. This is what I have: - (void)viewDidLoad { flipController = [[FlipsideViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"FlipsideView" bundle:nil]; flipController.delegate = self; flipController.modalTransitionStyle = UIModalTransitionStyleFlipHorizontal; if(![self deserialize]) { [self showInfo]; } } - (IBAction)showInfo { [self presentModalViewController:flipController animated:YES]; } showInfo is the method that is called with the little 'i' button is pressed on the MainView. The button works, however my call in viewDidLoad doesn't. I have run through my code with the debugger. [self deserialize] is returning NO and [self showInfo] is being called, and I checked if flipController is nil in that context, and it's not. I've searched around and couldn't find anyone who's tried to do the same thing. I'm stumped to as why this isn't working. Anyone see what I'm doing wrong? Thanks

  • Ilmerge causing dll's to open during build

    I am using ILMerge as a post build event to combine some dll's into a single dll. It is working and combining the dll's but have this weird issue. As the project builds, the dll's are opened (only external dll's, not project dll's)! And the build wont only progress when I close the application that opens the dll, in this case I have set reflector as the default application for opening dll's. The post build event command I am using is: "..............\External\Tools\ILMerge\2.10.0\ILMerge" /out:"$(ProjectDir)$(OutDir)Combined.dll" "$(TargetPath)" "$(ProjectDir)$(OutDir)Core.dll" "$(ProjectDir)$(OutDir)Resolver.dll" "$(ProjectDir)$(OutDir)AjaxMin.dll" "$(ProjectDir)$(OutDir)Yahoo.Yui.Compressor.dll" "$(ProjectDir)$(OutDir)EcmaScript.NET.modified.dll" Anyone have issues with this?

    I am using Django and Postgresql as my DBMS. I wish to set a setting that enables to enable/disable database connection. When the connection is set to closed (in settings.py) the site will display a message such as "meintanence mode" or something like that. Django will not show any db connection error message (or mail them to admins). It is appreciated if django do not try to connect to the database at all.

    Do you know what basic information MUST include a paragraph (w:p) in document.xml inside a *.docx document, that specifies an image? I do know there must be <a:blip r:embed="rId4" /> specifing the relation id, but what else? It's very hard to find it in google and experimenting with cutting out tags from a ready document or reading the specification takes a lot of time. An example with all the required tags would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Team, Can you offer a bit of advice. I am using a hosted SAAS CMS solution that enables you to create basing apps with a web apps system. I have created a form for members to submit a bunch of images and content to their own area. Everything is working great except if the images being submitted via the form are large, it takes ages for the form to submit and go to the thank you page. I am already using jQuery UI to split the form in to 5 steps and using the jQuery facebox plugin for instructional popups. My question is, what would be the best way to display a loading gif (in facebox or in another suggested overlay) while the form is being submitted? Thanks for your help! Jack

It is running fine locally. but after deployed on the domain server it showing exception XML Parsing Error: no element found Location: http://{MyDomainIP}:{port}/Reports/Pages/Folder.aspx Line Number 1, Column 1: I have deployed these reports under the windows authentication . since I tried to give anonymous access so that I can access it, But in IIS I could not found the virtual directory regarding these reports. so where are they deployed ? I could not understand how it is not permitting to the Admin account to show the reports. Please guide me I am using IIS 6.0 , SQL server2008 R2. I am totally new for the this kind of stuff. Edited: how can we give the anonymous access to the SSRS reports? It should not ask for username and password.I know we can do this by IIS , but some how I can not found my SSRS virtual directory. how can i do that ?
