  • Sysinternal's Process Explorer v14 doesn't show network activity.

    The new version of Process Explorer shows network activity history, but it doesn't in one of my computers. This particular PC runs Windows XP SP3 and it has just been reformatted so everything is "fresh". I have even installed WinPCap and Microsoft Network monitor, in case some of these drivers were necessary, but the graph stays in 0. Any ideas why this could happen? I would ask in Sysinternal's forum, but I really don't want to register in yet another forum.

  • How to get httrack to work with SSL on mac os x? (libssl.so not found)

    I'm trying to use httrack website copier but the program is running and reporting "no-ssl" (ie: it does not have the capability to copy secure sites). From looking over this thread, it seems that the problem is either when I make & configure the program, or when I run the program, it is not finding the lib-ssl / open-ssl that I have installed. I think it is looking for /var/root/lib/libssl.so.1.0 The user on that forum states that he created a symlink which allowed httrack to find the ssl library in the non-default location. Perhaps that's what I need to do - but where do I create the link from and to? I'm not seeing that I have any libssl.so files installed on my system. Do I need the development package? If so, how do I install that? I used macports to install the current version of openssl that I have. I'm running OS X 10.6.   • DVD drive doesn't recognize blank dvds only!!!

    My dvd-rom works fine because I can play dvds on it, however when the dvd is a blank one the drive refuses to recognize it. So I can't burn dvds anymore because the drive shows up as empty in my disk burning software (dvd flick). Any idea what the problem is and how to solve it? PC: Windows vista home basic, 32 bit

    My department is implementing an Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud. I have done the testing and am quite comfortable with the 4 pieces, CC/SC, CLC, WS, NC. Looking at various documents below it appears the the Storage Controller and Cluster Controller (eucalyptus-sc and eucalyptus-cc) are always installed on the same system.     I am looking for a FREE tool to perform analyses on the NTFS file system of my Windows 7 PC. I want to easily see the amount of data distributed throught out the entire file system. The following applications seem very good, but they are not free and probably overkill for my requirements: FolderSizes 5 MailMeter Windows File System Reporting Tool I am aware that some applications (like Folder Size 2.5) can add a column in Windows Explorer to show the size of each folder, but I am looking for something more like a reporting tool.     Hi! If I have one website and I want to rotate its logs, there's one instance of logrotate that is launched. There are as many logrotate instances launched as they are virtual websites. Here you can find mod_log_rotate, with a 1.3 version and (only) 2.0 version: http://www.hexten.net/wiki/index.php/Mod-log-rotate It's 6 years old. Is there something new, or maybe is there something like that in recent Apache versions? I was playing around with chmod and chown. suddenly my home folder become read-only. all the folders in /home/goutham/, where goutham is username, became read-only. I can delete files after turning on system for few seconds, after that it says Permission denied:read only file system. I cant even create folder with sudo mkdir also. Please help me. My os is on /dev/sda3

  • Messages released from MailScanner quarantine are marked as DUPLICATEDELIVER in Exchange 2007

    I have installed Postfix with MailScanner on CentOS 5.4 as a smarthost for Exchange 2007. When a message gets quarantined and I later release it (http://wiki.mailscanner.info/doku.php?id=documentation%3Aconfiguration%3Amta%3Apostfix%3Ahow%5Fto%3Arelease%5Fquarantined%5Fmail), it gets delivered to the Exhcange box but does not appear in a user's mailbox. Exchange message tracking log shows the message is marked as DUPLICATEDELIVER and therefore dropped. How can I work around this situation? Maybe changing a message ID somehow while at the Postfix box or some other way? Thanks.

I tried both "perf_counter[\Processor Information(_Total)\% Processor Time]" and "system.cpu.util[,system,avg5]". After some time status of these items reverted itself to "Unsupported".     I am using Webkit nightly build revision 110829 on Ubuntu 11.10. I successfully build it. Here is what I did: In the Webkit directory I run: Tools/Scripts/build-webkit --gtk Built succeeded. I tried running it by typing: Tools/Scripts/run-safari --gtk But nothing happens. I mean, the command just did not show anything. Anyone has any idea? For someone who vote down: Like I said, when I run Tools/Scripts/run-safari --gtk nothing happens. So if anyone has any idea how to run it properly please tell me.   • Adding IP address to OpenVZ VPS (OpenVZ Web Panel)

    I apologise if I sound at all dumb. This is my first dedicated server having used a VPS for over a year and I'm trying to setup a VPS on this new server. I purchased a subnet from my hosting provider that I believe allows me 6 usable IP addresses: 177.xx.xxx.201 - 177.xx.xxx.206 The subnet address looks like this: 177.xx.xxx.200/29. I've gone on my server and added them like it said on a wiki like so: ip addr add 177.**.***.201/29 dev eth0 I done that for all six and now when I go to them in the browser they point to my server. The problem is, I'm using OpenVZ web panel to create VMs (http://code.google.com/p/ovz-web-panel/) so I created a VM and assigned one of those IPs to it. However when SSHing to that IP it SSH's to the dedicated server and not the VM. Am I missing something?

    I want to digitize some index cards with my camera. I'm looking for a program that would automatically fix geometry on the shots (as you would expect the cards come tilted on the picture). I have an app (droid scan lite) on my android phone that does exactly that, but I would prefer to do it on my pc (the phone camera has poor quality and it's slow and focuses badly while I have a decent slr). If the program is open source it's an advantage, cross platform -- even more so.

I'm not looking for a web based solution - i.e. it should work without a web server, and I want to save my files directly to disk. The result could be any structured format, like Wiki markup, ReStructuredText, DocBook, or a small subset of HTML, ... But it's important, that Subversion diff can be used to see differences between the versions easily (this wouldn't work with .odt or .rtf files for example) I'm currently thinking about using Open Office, and saving the files as HTML, but is there a better solution?

    My printers don't support automatic duplex printing. I'm looking for a solution for my Mac and Linux computers that I've seen with most Windows printer drivers: Check "Manual duplex" in the printer screen Printer starts printing one side A dialog appears, asking me to flip the pages Printer prints the other side. One thing I can do, is print odd pages, then reopen the dialog and print even pages, but this is very inconvenient, especially when I only want to print a certain page range of the document as the Mac dialog forgets my previous page range every time. It gets even more inconvenient, when printing 2-up double sided, or when changing additional settings for this one printout. Is there maybe some tool, that can do this? Or maybe a "virtual printer driver" that can sit somewhere between the dialog and the actual printer driver, which manages these steps? (The Windows tool http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FinePrint can do something like that, but I don't need all of its features - and I need it on Mac/Linux) Thanks, Chris
