• Tab container - Button event is not firing

  Hi experts, In tab container let say I have two tabs [Tab1 & Tab2] Tab1 has 2 text box with required field validator Tab2 has 3 text box with required field validator Now even if I am filling all the text boxes in the TAB1, it is not allowing me to postback. [because TAB2 text boxes are still empty] & When I am filling all the textboxes [Both Tab1 & Tab2], button is firing correctly. How to avoid this ?? I mean user has to fill details for the TAB1 & can submit the details. At that Time I don't want TAB2 validations to work. Please help & kindly let me know if anything else is required.

  so im having problems with adding another primary key to my table. i have 3 columns: 1. Account ID (Identity) 2. EmailID 3. Data field when i made the table i had this to make the Account ID and the Email ID unique PRIMARY KEY (AccountID, EmailID) i thought that would make my emailid unique, but then after i tried inserting another row with the same emailid it went through. so i thought i missed something out. now for my question: IF, i had to use alter, How do i alter the table/PK Constraint to modify the EmailID field and make it Unique IF i decided to drop the table and made a new one, how do i make those two primary keys uniqe? • searching between dates in MYSQL in this format 03/17/10.11:22:45

  I have a script that automatically populates a mysql database with data every hour. It populates the date field like 03/17/10.12:34:11 and so on. I'm working on pulling data based on 1 day at a time from a search script. If i use select * from call_logs where call_initiated between '03/17/10.12:00:00' and '03/17/10.13:00:00' it works, but when I try to add the rest of the search params, it ignores the call_initiated field. select * from call_logs where caller_dn='2x9xxx0000' OR called_dn='2x9xxx0000' AND call_initiated between '03/17/10.12:00:00' and '03/17/10.13:00:00' ^-- I x'd out a couple of the numbers. I've also tried without the between function, and used = <= to pull the records, but have the same results. Im sure its an oversight, thanks in advance.

  Hi all. In my jqgrid when i am clicking on add new record i have date field prepopulated with current date. Format of the date is yyyy-MMM-d (e.g. 2010-Jan-23). Date is required field and when i click submit button it fails validation and displays error that this date is invalid, and it wants Y-m-d format. How can i check my value with jqgrid? In other words how to make jqgrid accept the following date format when validating 2010-Jan-23? Thanks.

  I have a bog-standard login form - an email text field, a password field and a submit button on an AIR project that's using HTML/jQuery. When I hit Enter on the form, the entire form's contents vanish, but the form isn't submitted. Does anyone know if this is a Webkit issue (Adobe AIR uses Webkit for HTML), or if I've bunged things up? I tried: $('.input').keypress(function(e){ if(e.which == 13){ $('form#login').submit(); } }); But that neither stopped the clearing behavior, or submitted the form. There's no action associated with the form - could that be the issue? Can I put a javascript function in the action?

• trigger onchange event manually

  Hi all, I'm setting a date-time textfield value via a calendar widget. Obviously, the calendar widget does something like this : document.getElementById('datetimetext').value = date_value; What I want is : On changing value in the date-time textfield I need to reset some other fields in the page. I've added a onchange event listener to the datetimetext field which is not getting triggered, because I guess onchange gets triggered only when the element gets focus & its value is changed on losing focus. Hence I'm looking for a way to manually trigger this onchange event (which I guess should take care of checking the value difference in the text field). Any ideas ? Thanks in advance, Anitha

  Hi Guys, yesterday I had posted a question: How should I pass a pointer to a function and allocate memory for the passed pointer from inside the called function? From the answers I got, I was able to understand what mistake I was doing. I'm facing a new problem now, can anyone help out with this? I want to dynamically allocate a 2D array, so I'm passing a Pointer-to-Pointer from my main() to another function called alloc_2D_pixels(...), where I use malloc(...) and for(...) loop to allocate memory for the 2D array. Well, after returning from the alloc_2D_pixels(...) function, the pointer-to-pointer still remains NULL, so naturally, when I try accessing or try to free(...) the Pointer-to-Pointer, the program hangs. Can anyone suggest me what mistakes I'm doing here? Help!!! I want to be able to warn the user with a message if the caps lock is ON while he will start to fill passwordLineEdit. Suppose I have a function that tells the current state of CapsLock button. So I want to do eventFiltering in LoginDialog class in order to understand that user starts to fill the password field (i.e. user just stepped into the password field) So for that purpose I wrote the following in the LoginDialog class constructor: m_passwordLineEdit->installEventFilter(this); So the only thing is to do is to implement a function which can understand that user is going to fill the password.   Hi, I have a dijit.form.NumberTextBox input field that starts out with these parms: new dijit.form.NumberTextBox({ id: din1, style: "width:60px", constraints: { places: 0, pattern: '######' } }, din1); Everything works great..My question is I would like to change 'places' and 'pattern' parms on the fly. So I wrote this to change 'places' and 'patterns' parms: var myFldObj = dijit.byId(din1); if (myFldObj) { var myConstObj = myFldObj.attr('constraints'); if (myConstObj) { myConstObj.places = 2; myConstObj.pattern = '#####.0'; } } So, after I show the form again, I'd expect the entry field to allow 2 decimal places but the form still acts like places=0 and pattern='######'. When I check the values of 'places' and 'pattern' I get what I'd expect (2 and #####.0). My question: Can you change these values on the fly?? OR Do you have to destroy the original dijit object and recreate with new parms?? Thx!!

• Build an unbound form in Acess 2007

  I have an access application that has a form that allows the user to enter case notes. The main field of this form is tied to a SQL Server varchar(MAX) field in the source table. Since the users switched to Access 2007, their program keeps crashing when they are on the case notes form. As a possible solution to this problem, I would like to try unbinding this form and re-building it as an unbound form. This form needs to be able to add and update records into my SQL Server database. It also needs to be able to browse between records. I guess I am at a loss as to where to start. Any suggestions/code snippets is appreciated.

• Any clever way to fix 'string or binary data would be truncated' warning with LINQ

  Is there a clever way to determine which field is causing 'string or binary data would be truncated' with LINQ. I've always ended up doing it manually by stepping through a debugger, but with a batch using 'SubmitChanges' I have to change my code to inserting a single row to find the culprit in a batch of rows. Am I missing something or in this day and age do I really have to still use a brute force method to find the problem. Please dont give me advice on avoiding this error in future (unless its something much cleverer than 'validate your data'). The source data is coming from a different system where I dont have full control anyway - plus I want to be lazy. PS. Does SQL Server 2008 actually tell me the field name. Please tell me it does! I'll upgrade!

• MS Access MSChart.Graph.8 not printing

  Software: Microsoft Access 2007 SP2 Database File Version: Access 2000 I have an access program that I inherited from a previous employee. It uses forms for reports and since I don't have much experience in access I have continued to do this. I have created a copy of the program for another project and modified it to suit. I am having trouble getting more then one chart to print. All the charts display in form view, they all have the same properties (excepting data, position, etc.) For some reason they are not printing. They don't even show up in the print preview. I am thinking it must be something with the graphs themselves as they sometimes lose all information. I have to open the graphs in edit mode and change the data source from column to row and back again so that it gets redrawn. (Refresh doesn't fix it) So right now I don't even have a clue as to where to look so ideas are welcome. Edit #1 It seems to be a problem with linking to an unbound form. Subform Field Linker: Can't build a link between unbound forms. Is there anything in printing that changes the context of records with respect to parent/child relationships?
