  • T-SQL query to check number of existences

    I have next approximate tables structure: accounts: ID INT, owner_id INT, currency_id TINYINT related to clients: ID INT and currency_types: ID TINYINT, name NVARCHAR(25) I need to write a stored procedure to check existence of accounts with specific currency and all others, i.e. client can have accounts in specific currency, some other currencies and both. I have already written this query: SELECT ISNULL(( SELECT 1 WHERE EXISTS ( SELECT 1 FROM [accounts] AS A, [currency_types] AS CT WHERE A.[owner_id] = @client -- sp param AND A.[currency_id] = CT.[ID] AND CT.[name] = N'Ruble' )), 0) AS [ruble], ISNULL(( SELECT 1 WHERE EXISTS ( SELECT A.[ID] FROM [accounts] AS A, [currency_types] AS CT WHERE A.[owner_id] = @client AND A.[currency_id] = CT.[ID] AND CT.[name] != N'Ruble' )), 0) AS [foreign] Is it possible to optimize it? I'm new to (T)SQL, so thanks in advance!

    On my SQL Server 2008 I have a stored procedure with a large number of parameters. The first part of them is used in every call and parameters from the second part are used rarely. And I can't move the logic to two different stored procedures. Is there a way to encapsulate all this parameters to a class or struct and pass it as a stored procedure parameter? Can I use SQL CLR. Are there other ways?

    I have custom SiteMapProvider and RoleProvider that works together properly: IsAccessibleToUser returns false if current user's role isn't mentioned in SiteMapNode.Roles for page requested. So breadcrumbs or menu doesn't show an item. But user still can type now showed URL directly and open a page. How can I block such behavior? Also I have next Web.config settings: <authorization> <allow roles="Admin,Manager,Client" /> <deny users="*" /> </authorization>

    I have enableSecurityTrimming=true and a custom SiteMapProvider inherited from built-in XmlSiteMapProvider and IsAccessibleForUser returns false for requested pag00e but it anyway opens. In the same time, breadcrumbs targeted the same sitemap doesn't create a menu. How to implemwnt peoper reaction?

But general - it doesn't add a separator after the last element! I uses it for ASP.NET coding for separating with "<br />" or Environment.NewLine. So I want to add an empty row after each row in asp:Table. What method of IEnumerable<TableRow> can I use for the same functionality?

Is it possible to optimize this code to probably split them to one? Or something like that..

I want to add a client confirmation on deleting and in the same moment I want this button would be generated on setting AutoGenerateDeleteButton="true". Is it possible?? I can add a custom button this way: <asp:TemplateField> <ItemTemplate> <asp:LinkButton runat="server" CommandName="Delete" OnClientClick="return confirm('Delete?')">Delete</asp:LinkButton> </ItemTemplate> </asp:TemplateField> but it will be not automatically localized and will be not generated on setting AutoGenerateDeleteButton="true"!

    Sounds dummy but I can't set to a server-side control's property a value contains quote marks ": <asp:CompareValidator ErrorMessage="Curreny-from can't be equal to currency-to" runat="server" /> I need to quote "from" and "to". I tried escaping \"from\" and double quote marks ""from"" - both doesn't work. How to do that?

    I'm writing a banking system and my customer wants support both Russian and American numeric standards in decimal digits delimiter. Respectively . and ,. Now only , works properly. Perhaps because of web server's OS format (Russian is set). String like 2000.00 throws a FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format. How to fix that?
