  Hello all I am just a beginner in programing i wish covert some code from C# to F#, I have encotered this code: "float[] v1=new float[10]" I need to use this pointer to pass to the function: "ComputeBuffer bufV1 = new ComputeBuffer(Context, ComputeMemoryFlags.ReadWrite | ComputeMemoryFlags.UseHostPointer, v1);" If i creat an array in F# like this: "let v1 = [| 1.0..10.0 |]" and call now the funaction like this: "let bufV1 = new ComputeBuffer(Context, ComputeMemoryFlags.ReadWrite ||| ComputeMemoryFlags.UseHostPointer, v1)" Is it an error??   in sqlite3's client CLI, there is " .import file TABLE_name " to do it. But, I do not want to install sqlite3 to my server at present. in python sqlite3 module, we can creat and edit a DB.   I have a very specific task, but can't handle it. I am not a programmer and totally n00b on bash scritps. So the question is, how to create a cron job like this: Script A.sh could be called at any time by hands, and it should create cron job to run script B.sh once at the nearest time point. For example I will have 4 time points: 10.00pm, 10.15pm, 10.30pm, 10.45pm. So if trigger a script A.sh at 10.07pm it should creat cron job to run ONCE script B.sh at 10.15h, because 10.15h is the nearest time point in future. Is it possible? How can I write such script A.sh? I use Centos 6 It is very important and urgent for me. Thank you very much.

  Hi All, I have a SharePoint site which contains a root site and site collection in it. Now there are some sites that inherits permissions from their parent site and some site has their own permission module. Now a user from owner group of root site browses site collection but there are few site which doesn't allow user to view the content of it. Now what I want is general recommendation on when creating a new site in SharePoint what is best possible approach to set site permission. In what case we can inherits permissions from parent site..? In what case we can we us unique permission for a site..? If a site has unique permission set then is it possible to creat a group at root level which has access to all site collection irrespective of site permission model? While exporting i am exporting all resources (meants this jar files also.) But still i am getting noclassdeffound error when my application tries to load any one of the jar included. You see I am trying to find a string within another string as follows. e = input.indexOf("-->"); s = input.indexOf("<!--"); input = input.replace(input.substring(s, e + 3), " "); The integers e and s are returning -1 in that it was not found and this is causing the replace method to fail. The test string I am using is "Chartered Certified<!--lol--> Accountants (ACCA)". I tried to creat a new string object and pass in the string as an argument as follows e=input.indexOf(new String("<!--")); This yielded the same result. Any ideas ?

  I've been working in C for so long that the fact that compilers typically add an underscore to the start of an extern is just understood... However, another SO question today got me wondering about the real reason why the underscore is added. A wikipedia article claims that a reason is: It was common practice for C compilers to prepend a leading underscore to all external scope program identifiers to avert clashes with contributions from runtime language support I think there's at least a kernel of truth to this, but also it seems to no really answer the question, since if the underscore is added to all externs it won't help much with preventing clashes. Does anyone have good information on the rationale for the leading underscore? Is the added underscore part of the reason that the Unix creat() system call doesn't end with an 'e'? I've heard that early linkers on some platforms had a limit of 6 characters for names. If that's the case, then prepending an underscore to external names would seem to be a downright crazy idea (now I only have 5 characters to play with...).

  Hi, I work with Mac OS X Leopard. I usually have 5 or 10 text files opened at the same time with different programming languages; one for a bash script, another for a python one, etc. When I use exposé all of them look the same, so it is difficult to select them. I wonder how could I work with just plain text files in OSX, so when they are opened in an editor the background color changes or some other thign, so when using exposé it is clear to me which window belongs to what language. I thought about inserting some kind of info to the last line of each document, and then creat some applescript that converts it to RTF or someother text document which includes color in bacjground, so then it is opened with textmate or someother app. Do you know a better approach for this? • LINQ to SQL DB Connections not closing

  I am using LINQ to SQL in an asp.net mvc application. I am calling stored procedures via ajax calls. The active connections for 2-3 users goes to 100 active connections. and then server timeouts happen. I then used IOC -autofac to resuse the same repository that has a datacontext. now tho i get an active connection on the SQL server per loggedin user plus one. I have never seen this before. Why wouldnt Lin2sql not drop a connection when not in use? would calling a stored procedure in an ajax call in a loggedin session creat an a new active connection? Could a Stored Procedure with loops and or a waitfor hold open a connection??
