I'm trying to trace thru an error on a extranet site I maintain. I've had a look thru the logs, and I'm seeing hits originate from these IP addresses:
216.104.15.130
216.104.15.138
216.104.15.142
216.104.15.13
150.70.84.49
150.70.84.44
Network-tools.com gives 'TREND MICRO INCORPORATED' as the owner of all these IPs.
The hits fail as they…
I've got a server that reports 8 GB of ram used up at 99%. When restart Sql Server, it drops down to about 5% usage, but gradually builds back up to 99% over about 2 hours.
When I look at the sqlserver process, its reported as only using 100k ram, and generally never goes up or below that number by very much. In fact, if I add up all the…
I am getting a lot of hits to my web server from from multiple IP addresses that are owned by Akamai. This stood out to me as the requests are for resources that are no longer available.
These resources should not be being requested - that pages that refer to them are marked as being non-cachable.
Any clues?
I have been trying to write an FPS in C/X11/OpenGL, but the issue that I have encountered is with calculating where the bullet hits. I have used a horrible technique, and it only sometimes works:
pos size, p;
size.x = 0.1;
size.z = 0.1; // Since the game is technically top-down (but in a 3D perspective)
// Positions are in…
Basically I'm looking for an application. I know it's slightly off topic, but I'm looking for it to record a series of tutorials for a program I wrote.
It's important to show the actions like mouse click, mouse right click, and all what's coming out from the keyboard. In the similar way to this video…
I am no DBA and very much a novice when it comes to DB2 so even 'obvious' answers are welcome to this question:
I love db2top but sometimes I cannot get it to run if the load average is high on a db2 LUW.
This morning I was looking at an issue where load average shot up suddenly, I could not get…
We are having a problem with our web application, and are currently monitoring performance via munin. We have defined a list of URLs that are causing problems, and am hoping for munin to find out from the apache logs when those urls are being hit. Does anyone know how to set this up? Thanks! :)
We run a learning platform for primary schools here in the UK and it's all been running extremely well. However at around 4PM Monday to Friday we see the same issue arise -- 1-2 PHP threads will spike to 100% CPU and gradually start eating up RAM until the server(s) fall over.
98%+ of our…

I've tried to find a way to do this, but without success. I'm looking for a way to find out how many hits a search gets, and I don't want to do this manually, or with regex searching trough the html code. Surely the Google APIs must have a simple…
We put our website advertisement in 2 other websites. We need to count the hits we are getting form those advertisement and like to store it in my database. Please give me an idea to do that.

A symptom of the problem is that the call stack is empty in the "Debug" tab in Eclipse. Usually it will have a list of all the way up the call stack, but now it just says "breakpoint at line 68..." and then about 10 blank lines.
Playing around with factories, which I read weren't supposed to hit the database, allowing you to avoid having your controller specs interacting with the DB. But when I fire up the Rails console in test and use a factory to…
