    so this morning, I get a call from a customer who says past 2 weeks of mail is in junk box...apparently emails from my domain is blocked ??? this is not the first time. and i fear that the reason i got no responses back from leads is due to my mails landing in junk box..... i am using google mail on a domain i had purchased a year ago. ever since, it has given me problems. the domain is new and created by me. how can i fix this problem ? is my domain somehow blacklisted ?

    Hi, our emails are being flagged as junk. I have two different webistes both with their own dedicted ip address. sitea.com = xx.xx.xx.43 siteb.com = xx.xx.xx.44 Im using hmailserver to host our emails and have the smtp bound to the ip address of xx.xx.xx.42 im aware that i can set up a spf record to state that the what servers emails can be sent from v=spf1 mx ip4:xx.xx.xx.43 mx:mail.sitea.com ip4:xx.xx.xx.42 -all Would the fact that email are not sent from the sites ip's be causing them to be flagged as junk.   • Visual Studio C++ adds "junk" to my programs

    I have looked into the binaries produced by MSVC 2010 from my source code, and saw everything being filled with "junk". I don't know how to explain, but my executables are being added too much unnecessary information, like: Lots of Microsoft default error messages, I don't want them XML schema settings (Why!?) Other things not important for the execution of the main program How can I stop MSVC doing this? Do I have to switch to GCC? In all other programs (written in C++ too, from Word processors to games), this junk simply doesn't exist.

  • Munin with postgresql 9.2

    I am trying to set up Munin to collect stats on a server with postgresql 9.1 and 9.2 (the server is currently running 9.1, have tested on a fresh VM with 9.2 to rule out some weird problem on the running server. I had to patch some of the plugins for 9.2 due to renamed columns (e.g. procpid to pid), but that's no problem). Munin is installed from the EPEL repos, postgres from the official one. Both up to date. When I run the plugin individually via munin-run (e.g. munin-run postgres_size_ALL ), it works completely fine. Looking at /var/log/munin/munin-node.log, this is the output: Error output from postgres_size_ALL: DBI connect('dbname=template1','',...)failed: could not connect to server: Permission denied Is the server running locally and accepting connections on Unix domain socket "/tmp/.s.PGSQL.5432"? at /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl/Munin/Plugin/Pgsql.pm line 377 Service 'postgres_size_ALL exited with status 1/0. I am now out of ideas... the socket definitely exists, and pg_hba.conf is set to allow all users/databases from localhost with trust.

  • Quickly generate junk data of certain size in Javascript

    I am writing an upload speed test in Javascript. I am using Jquery (and Ajax) to send chunks of data to a server in order to time how long it takes to get a response. This should, in theory give an estimation, of the upload speed. Of course to cater for different bandwidths of the user I sequentially upload larger and larger amounts of junk data until a threshold duration is reached. Currently I generate the junk data using the following function, however, it is very slow when generation megabytes of data. function generate_random_data(size){ var chars = "abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz"; var random_data = ""; for (var i = 0; i < size; i++){ var random_num = Math.floor(Math.random() * char.length); random_data = random_data + chars.substring(random_num,random_num+1); } return random_data; Really all I am doing is generating a chunk of bytes to send to the server, however, this is the only way I could find out how in Javascript. Any help would be appreciated.

  • How to modify a message, so it will be for 100% recognizable as spam by Exchange junk e-mail filter

    Hi! I have an sendmail server, sitting in front of my Exchange server. This server filter spam with SpamAssassin (and do it incredibly well!), but it merely tag spam messages with appropriate header flags and by modifying message subject. When such a message arrives to user mailbox on Exchange server, where it is examined by Echange/Outlook junk e-mail filter, which put most of spam in junk message folder. And that is my problem: most, but not all! To put all spam in junk e-mail message folder, user has to define an rule, saying f.e: "If header contains text 'X-Spam-Flag: YES' then move it to 'Junk e-mail messages' folder". Fine, but it has to be done on every user (for some users, this task is too "complicated" to made it themselves :-) . So I want to know, how could I modify message header in such a way, that Exchange junk e-mail filter will for 100% recognize this message as a spam, freeing user from task of defining his own rule. Some solution could be defining such a rule by using AD and group policy, but I wan't to avoid this due to many possible caveats: there are so many combination of different operating system and different Outlook versions, and to be honest, I doubt if it is even possible.

    I'm trying to use the C proprocessor on non-C code, and it works fine except for creating lines like this at the top: # 1 "test.java" # 1 "<built-in>" # 1 "<command-line>" # 1 "test.java" The problem is that these lines aren't valid in Java. Is there any way to get the preprocessor to not write this stuff? I'd prefer not to have to run this through something else to just remove the first 4 lines every time.

    I use Outlook 2010 with Hotmail connector. MS says that you can sync your Outlook rules with your Hotmail but I cant see how. My actual problem is - I add a guy to my Junk blocked senders list (and I check it visually - it is in the list). But I keep receiving emails from this guy. It doesnt go to the Junk folder in Outlook. I need my Outlook to honor the rules locally at least. Is it possible?

  • Are you aware of any client-side malware that sends lots of junk requests for .gifs?

    I am getting dozens of 404 errors on my site that are requests for gif's with apparently random names, like 4273uaqa.gif and 5pwowlag.gif. I see that most of them are coming from one user. I assume something is happening in the background on her machine without her knowledge -- a malware thing on the client. Have you seen this behavior before, and do you know what sort of malware might cause it? Would love to advise my customer that s/he has an issue. I'd also like to stop getting these 404 reports.     Hi, My question is regarding the host name mapped to a machine's IP. I am new to Linux, I have a machine to test whether our j2ee based web application runs fine in linux box. we are able to deploy our application and successfully and even able to access the same in that machine. But when I tried accessing it through another machine in the same network, I am not able to access the URL using the hostname specified, instead I am able to access if I provide the ipaddress. I tried putting nslookup MyIP# command to know the name of the ip in the DNS server, where I got some junk value.com; when I tried to access with that name I am able to access the machine. Kindly provide me inputs to change the hostname of this machine in that domain server. Thanks in Advance!! Jay

  • Having a base class function depend on its child class C#

    I have a Base class with a method that a child class will almost always override. However, instead of replacing the base class' method entirely, I would like for whatever is derived in the child class to be added to what is already in the base class. For Example: class BaseClass public string str() { var string = "Hello my name is" ; } class ChildClass : BaseClass public override string str(){ var string = "Sam"; } The point is that if I want to access the str() method by creating an instance of the ChildClass, the string will print out as "Hello, my name is Sam". I've been looking around and all I have been finding is that this should NOT happen, as the base class shouldn't even know that it is being inherited. So, if the design is false, how would I go about doing this? Keep in mind that there will be multiple child classes inheriting from BaseClass. Thank you

  • Why does text from Assembly.GetManifestResourceStream() start with three junk characters?

    I have a SQL file added to my VS.NET 2008 project as an embedded resource. Whenever I use the following code to read the file's content, the string returned always starts with three junk characters and then the text I expect. I assume this has something to do with the Encoding.Default I am using, but that is just a guess. Why does this text keep showing up?
