    I have a production server with it's cpu's running excessively high. Except in critical circumstances nobody is allowed to logon to servers during non maintenance times. I am looking for an application I can use to look at the processes on the remote server which include CPU % usage. An application like top. Windows native tasklist.exe doesn't show percentage, nor does sysinternals pslist.exe. Suggestions?

    I want to ftp a large file from a Windows client to a Windows server, using their IP addresses. This is on an internet independent network. While the file is transferring, I would like to determine how many bytes have been received by the server. I then would like to use this information to determine in real-time the percentage of the file that has been transferred to the server. Any recommendations as to the ftp command syntax and C# code to achieve this?

    I need a calculation to work out the downtime percentage of a server. I am making a script that runs via cron every minute to check the uptime of a remote server. The two values I have to play with are number of checks run and times the checks failed (outages). Is this a plausible way of calculating it? I am thinking it must be but can't be too sure as my Maths skills are slipping away from me with age!

    I have a service that performs background updates. I want to give the user the the option to disable the updates when their battery percentage reaches a certain level. From my research, I'm going to use a receiver in the onCreate method of my Service class, eg: public class MainService extends Service { @Override public void onCreate() { this.registerReceiver(this.BatInfoReceiver, new IntentFilter(Intent.ACTION_BATTERY_CHANGED)); } private BroadcastReceiver BatInfoReceiver = new BroadcastReceiver(){ @Override public void onReceive(Context arg0, Intent intent) { int level = intent.getIntExtra("level", 0); } }; } I'm assuming the best practice is to leave the service running and check the battery level in the service and not perform the CPU intensive code based on the percentage? I don't actually stop the service itself and start it up again, based on the battery percentage?

    I'm in a strange situation where I have a value of 0.5 and I want to convert the values from 0.5 to 1 to be a percentage and from 0.5 to 0 to be a negative percentage. As it says in the title 0.4 should be -20%, 0.3 should be -40% and 0.1 should be -80%. I'm sure this is a simple problem, but my mind is just refusing to figure it out :) Can anyone help? :)

    I have two grouping levels in a report. Group A can have a Percentage() of the entire report and so can Group B, but I would like to know the Percentage() of Group A of Group B. Even if I code it, it seems like once the inner and outer groups have created their footers, I can't go back to to the inner group and set it's value.     I am currently working with User objects -- each of which have many Goal objects. The Goal objects are not User specific, that is, Users can share the same Goal. I am attempting to fashion a way to calculate a "similarity percentage" between two Users... (i.e., taking into account how many Goals they share as well as how many Goals they do not share) Does anyone have experience with this type of situation?
