  • Problem with the scrollbar of a UIWebView

    Hi there! Im using a UIWebView to access a website, when i rotate the phone (landscape) the UIWebView is properly resized and the scrollbar are on the right place (on the right edge...) but when i acess any of input fields to fill the information required and exit it the UIWebView scrollbar jumps to the middle of screen (looks like it get back to 320, the width of the screen on portrait). Some useful info, this program was created using IB, have lots of outlets, im thinking about in do (redo) everything programmatically cause i was not the author of the first version... If anyone have seen this before plz let me know.. Thanks in advance!

  • UIWebView finishes too fast

    I'm loading a biggish (and javascript-heavy) page into a UIWebView, and I want to add a UIActivityView to spin while it thinks. Problem is, my - (void)webViewDidFinishLoad:(UIWebView *)webView method gets called quite a while before the rendering actually happens. Enough so that my spinner (which set to hide when stopped) never actually shows up. By the time the UI is even assembled, the spinner has already been stopped and hidden, even though there's enough time to wonder if it's broken before the UIWebView actually gets the goods to the screen. I wish there was a "webViewDidFinishRendering", but that would imply that WebKit is something other than lickedy-split fast... ;-) Thoughts? Perhaps I should toss the thing up and set a timer to come stop it, and unhook that from anything that's actually happening in the WebView?

  • Dismissing pickers and keyboards invoked by a UIWebView

    I am implementing an in-app browser using UIWebView, that shows an 'action' button up-top that - when tapped - scales the UIWebView and allows the user to perform some other actions. If, however, at the point of tapping this 'action' button, the user were entering some text on the webview, or using a picker to select an option from a drop-down list, then the webview gets scaled without dismissing the keyboard/picker. Apart from being ugly, this also obscures my main view and controls. So is there a way to make a UIWebView dismiss all associated input controls, such as keyboards/pickers, when asked to? I tried using [myWebView resignFirstResponder] but that didn't work. Any ideas? Thanks.

  • Pass through touches to portion of UIWebView

    I have a UIWebView. Using something like this: http://blog.evandavey.com/2009/02/how-to-make-uiwebview-transparent.html .. I have made the UIWebView transparent. I now need to be able to pass though touches on the webview to the view below, but only on a rectangular portion of the web view. So, imagine the webview is a square, and it has a square area in the centre which must pass-thru touches to the view below. Is there a way to do this?

    I am working with UIWebView project and I want to load an HTML file from a project resource. It is working fine when I run from the URL, but when I view the HTML file locally, JS files are not loaded. Loading the local HTML local file doesn't refer to js files in UIWebView. Here's my code to load the HTML file project local resource and does't refer the js file: NSString *path = [[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:@"textfile" ofType:@"txt"]; NSError *error = nil; NSString *string = [[NSString alloc] initWithContentsOfFile:path encoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding error:&error]; NSString *path1 = [[NSBundle mainBundle] bundlePath]; NSURL *baseURL = [NSURL fileURLWithPath:path1]; NSLog(@"%@ >>> %@",baseURL,path); [webview loadHTMLString:string baseURL:baseURL]; This code doesn't find JS files in UIWebView, even though it loads image files from the project resource successfully.

    Hello, I have app which have two views implemented in Tabbar, one of them is UIWebView which shows some random html and second is mapView (route-me map), I have function in MapViewController.m which do sth stuff when is clicked on marker label - (void) tapOnLabelForMarker: (RMMarker*) marker onMap: (RMMapView*) map { NSLog(@"taponlabelformarker clicked"); self.tabBarController.selectedIndex=0; WebViewController *web = [[WebViewController alloc] init]; [web dajdasepije]; } and that function should call function which show html in uiwebview tab -(void)dajdasepije { NSLog(@" pokreni me njezno"); [webView loadRequest:[NSURLRequest requestWithURL:[NSURL URLWithString:@"http://www.google.com"]]]; } Problem is that UIWebView never show google page that I asked for it, NSLog prints out at terminal messages that function was called but nothing else happens.     Hi I am trying to get the HTML source of a UIWebView without re-downloading it again (a.k.a. do another download, such as [NSData dataWithContentsOfURL:(NSURL*)URL] or launching an NSURLRequest. Browsing the UIWebView header and documentation, there seems to be no way of accessing the current loaded NSData of the source. Am I missing something ?

I mean when a user touches their iphone screen, drags their finger downwards, and the webview shows a blank spot above the web page I had loaded?   • Youtube video autoplay on iPhone's Safari or UIWebView

    Hello, Is it possible to get a youtube video to autoplay on Safari and/or UIWebView? I've seen this done in an iPhone app, the tableview displays cells that do not have Youtube preview icon (pretty sure it's a UIWebView Though), when you tap the cell it directly goes to video. Could this be done by faking a tap on the youtube video? If so, how? Would getElementById().click work? Thanks a lot

    Hi, I'm having a problem with the UIWebView and MPMoviePlayerController: My UIWebView have a movie inside the html (it's a local html file), I'm using html5 and a video tag for the video. The problem is: the user can set the video to play inline, directly on the html or he can tap the fullscreen button, but I need to know if the video is playing fullscreen. I've tried to use MPMoviePlayerDidEnterFullscreenNotification but with no success. Does anybody know how to get this notification from the webview? Thanks in advance

    I have a UIWebView named wView. I want to use webViewDidFinishLoad: in my class, so I am setting the class as the delegate for wView by using this line: wView.delegate = self; Everything loads properly, but when I close the UIWebView, the App crashes. If I comment out the wView.delegate = self, it works and does not crash, but then I can't use webViewDidFinishLoad: - any ideas? Do I need to release something?

  • Uiwebview refreshes after zoom and pinch

    Hello, I have a uiwebview in my App. So far everything works fine, but when i zoom in or out for example the uiwebview refreshes the loaded page and then scrolls and zooms to the new page location and size. So the zooming works good, but I don't want the user to see the refresh and repositioning of the website. Is there a way to prevent this? Thanks for any tips!

I tried using UIWebViewDelgate and used, -(void)webViewDidFinishLoad:(UIWebView *)webView {} However this method is called before the image has loaded / rendered. How can I fix this.     My app's main view has a uiwebview. It is white for a split second before it has time to render the HTML the app generates. Is there a way to make the uiwebview black, or another color, before it renders? The flash of white isn't part of my plan for a smooth visual transition.
