  • Alternative to Canned Response in Gmail

    I have a mailbox that i share with a colleague. We want a good way to store templates for e-mails that we send often like answers to common questions and so on. We have tried to use Canned Response to store this templates but that GUI really sucks and is kind of unusable for other things then signatures and stuff. Is anyone aware of a good alternative to this? We need to be able to share this templates. So it must be stored "in the cloud". We want "as easy access" as possible directly in gmail. A firefox plugin would be fine since we both use Firefox. We use both Mac and PC so the solution must be cross-platform. Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this?

  • Auto-response on a mail non universal group

    Four domain users are part of global security group [email protected] running on Windows Server 2008 Standard and Exchange 2007 as a mail non universal group. Our goal is to create an auto-responder rule, or template that fires at sender. I have created a mail-enabled public folder, with owner permissions for each group member. I have also set up a rule template (response) and I am a little unclear as to the send as permission set, or where to set that up. Can someone please tell me if I am on the right track? Will I have to do each Outlook client machine (whole group!) the same?

  • Firewall blocks FTP PASV response

    I have an FTP server that supports passive server mode (using PASV command). This works fine with Windows XP. When I want to access this server from Windows Vista or Windows 7 with firewall enabled I experience an immediate connection shutdown. A reset packet is sent to the server, and the socket is signaled that the server has reset the connection (which is not true). The problem disappears when the firewall is disabled. Connections to other FTP servers work correctly. The difference is that the server's response to PASV does not enclose the address field with parentheses. This is legal as documented in RFC-959 and RFC-1132. How can I configure the firewall to stop this bad behavior?

  • Nginx return 444 depending on upstream response code

    I have nginx setup to pass to an upstream using proxy pass. The upstream is written to return a 502 http response on certain requests, rather then returning the 502 with all the header I would like nginx to recoginse this and return 444 so nothing is returned. Is this possible?   • How to see the content-type of a response in Nginx log file

    Is it possible to see the content-type of a response to a request in Nginx's log file? At the moment, this is what I see for the request in question: 127.0.0.1 - - [23/Nov/2012:10:17:19 -0500] "GET /fonts/cantarell-bold-webfont.eot? HTTP/1.1" 200 22679 "https://www.mysite.com/blah/doc" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.2; Trident/4.0; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET4.0C)" If this is not feasible using Nginx's log, what are the other options?   • http_post_data adding extra characters in response

    Hey Guys I am getting some extra characters like '5ae' and '45c' interspersed along with valid data when using http_post_data. The data I am sending is XML and so is the response. The response contains these weird characters thats making the XML invalid. If I use fsockopen I do not have this issue. Would really like some input on this.

    One of my web services returns the list of ids of the the projects a person is owner of. That is, when I GET http://example.com/wsListProjects?user=eric I get back xml with the list of projects. However, when I specify user=xxx, who doesn't exist, I currently return a 404 response? Is this the correct response to return? Thanks.

    I'm designing an RESTful API where some calls are public over HTTP, and some require an API key and encryption over HTTPS. I'm deliberating on what response code should be sent if an HTTP request is sent to one of the private resources. So far the only one that jumps out at me is 412 - Precondition Failed, but the standard indicates that the precondition is imposed by the requester not the server. Is there an appropriate response code for this condition or do I just need to give in and do 400?

    I asked this question a few days ago but it seems to have gone cold fairly quickly. What I want to do is pretty simple and I can't believe someone hasn't figured it out. Solution needs to be JScript classic ASP. I am reading a file from a remote server and I want to process that (binary) file on my server and spit the results back to the client as XML. Here's a simplified version of what I am trying to do. This code runs, or will if the URL is filled in for your site. This test file is readbin.asp. It reads a file called test.bin, and writes the result to a stream. I used a stream because that makes it easier to read the file and parse the contents.     Hey, I have some code which queries a web server using HTTP GET URLConnection connection = new URL("www.example.com" + "?blah=ok").openConnection(); connection.setRequestProperty("Accept-Charset", "UTF-8"); InputStream http_response = connection.getInputStream(); Now when I run this code while connected to WiFi I get the expected response but when I run this with WiFi disabled I instead seem to get the response of www.example.com without the appended query. Does anyone know why this is happening?
