  • How to test silverlight behaviors using Rhino Mocks?

    I have slightly adapted the custom behavior code that can be found here: http://www.reflectionit.nl/blog/default.aspx?guid=d81a8cf8-0345-48ee-bbde-84c2e3f21a25 that controls a MediaElement. I need to know how to go about testing this with Rhino Mocks e.g. how to instantiate a new ControlMediaElementAction in test code and then call the Invoke method etc. Doing something simple like this in test code: mMediaElementControlBehaviour = new ControlMediaElementAction (); gives me an exception "The type initializer for 'System.Windows.DependencyObject' throw an exception. Thinking it was the instantiation of the MediaElement, I tried this two lines of code: MediaElement mediaElementStub = MockRepository.GenerateStub(); this.Container.RegisterInstance(mediaElementStub); This gave the exception 'Can't create mocks of sealed classes' If someone can point me in the right direction, it would be apreciated.     I know about Flash's localToGlobal and globalToLocal methods to transform coordinates from the local system to the global system, but is there a way to achieve the intermediate? To transform coordinates from an arbitrary system to any other arbitrary system? I have a clickable object inside a Sprite, and the Sprite is a child of the stage. I want to retrieve the clicked point in the Sprite.

    I have a question about XSS Can forms be used as a vector for XSS even if the data is not stored in the database and used at a later point? i.e. in php the code would be this: <form input="text" value="<?= @$_POST['my_field'] ?>" name='my_field'> Showing an alert box (demonstrate that JS can be run) on your own browser is trivial with the code above. But is this exploitable across browsers as well? The only scenario I see is where you trick someone into visiting a certain page, i.e. a combination of CSRF and XSS. "Stored in a database and used at a later point": the scenario I understand about CSS is where you're able to post data to a site that runs JavaScript and is shown on a page in a browser that has greater/different privileges than your own. But, to be clear, this is not wat I'm talking about above.

    Why is the Log4j rootLogger in my application not filtering log events according to level? In my log4j.properties, I have several loggers: log4j.rootLogger=info,stdout log4j.logger.com.name.myapp=debug,myapp log4j.logger.org.castor=debug,castor log4j.logger.org.exolab.castor=debug,castor log4j.logger.org.hibernate=debug,hibernate log4j.logger.org.springframework=debug,spring Each of the loggers receive and record numerous log events at levels DEBUG and above, which is what I expect. The rootLogger, however, despite being set to level INFO, is displaying all of these events, too, including the DEBUG events, which is not what I expect. Instead, I would expect it to filter the DEBUG events, but display only the events at level INFO and higher (WARN, ERROR, and FATAL). Why is rootLogger displaying all of the events?

  • Netbeans 7.2 won't open on OS X

    I installed Netbeans on OSX Mountain Lion running JDK 7. Everything was working fine. Then my machine for no reason crashed. After this I could no longer open Netbeans anymore. If I try to start Netbeans from the commandline: /Applications/NetBeans/NetBeans 7.2.app/Contents/MacOS/netbeans Then it works fine. From there I can select Netbeans About and confirm that my userdir and cachedir is: User directory: /Users/<user>/Library/Application Support/NetBeans/7.2 Cache directory: /Users/<user>/Library/Caches/NetBeans/7.2 So, I deleted these directories and tried again, but alas, I can only start netbeans via the commandline. Ideas appreciated...

  • iPhone: Cannot get simulator to generate .gcda profiling data files.

    I'm attempting to profile my code using the iPhone simulator. I've enabled Generate Test Coverage File and Instrument Program Flow and added -lgcov to the linker flags. According to everything I've read that should be all I need to do in terms of setup. Executing the program I can see the .gcno files appearing along side the .o compiled code in the build/.build/Debug-iphonesimulator/.build/Objects-normal/i386 directory. But when I run the app in the simulator I do not get any *.gcda files appearing. My understanding is that these files contain the data from the instrumentation. But I cannot find them anywhere on the computer. I know they can be produced and appear along side the *.gcno files because I have an old trashed buil directory which does have them. I just cannot figure out what I have to do to get them to appear and record the run. Any help appreciated.

  • How do I get the next token in a Cstring if I want to use it as an int? (c++)

    My objective is to take directions from a user and eventually a text file to move a robot. The catch is that I must use Cstrings(such as char word[];) rather than the std::string and tokenize them for use. the code looks like this: void Navigator::manualDrive() { char uinput[1]; char delim[] = " "; char *token; cout << "Enter your directions below: \n"; cin.ignore(); cin.getline (uinput, 256); token=strtok(uinput, delim); if(token == "forward") { int inches; inches=token+1; travel(inches); } } I've never used Cstrings I've never tokenized anything before, and I don't know how to write this. Our T.A.'s expect us to google and find all the answers because they are aware we've never been taught these methods. Everyone in my lab is having much more trouble than usual. I don't know the code to write but I know what I want my program to do. I want it to execute like this: 1) Ask for directions. 2) cin.getline the users input 3) tokenize the inputed string 4) if the first word token == "forward" move to the next token and find out how many inches to move forward then move forward 5) else if the first token == "turn" move to the next token. if the next token == "left" move to the next token and find out how many degrees to turn left I will have to do this for forward x, backward x, turn left x, turn right x, and stop(where x is in inches or degrees). I already wrote functions that tell the robot how to move forward an inch and turn in degrees. I just need to know how to convert the inputted strings to all lowercase letters and move from token to token and convert or extract the numbers from the string to use them as integers.     Hi all, In my update form, I want the fields to recall the values that are already stored. This is very simple in a text field, but for my drop down () I'm having trouble with PHP reading the already stored name of user. Here is my query and code: $sql = "SELECT users.user_id, users.name FROM users"; $result = mysql_query($sql, $connection) or die ("Couldn't perform query $sql <br />".mysql_error()); $row = mysql_fetch_array($result);?> <label>Designated Person:</label> <select name="name" id="name"> <option value="<?php echo $row['user_id']?>" SELECTED><?php echo $row['name']?> - Current</option> <?php while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) { ?> <option value="<?php echo $row['user_id']; if (isset($_POST['user_id']));?>"><?php echo $row['fullname']?></option> <?php } ?> The result of this displays all of the users (as required) and lets me select a user then perform the change successfully...however the 'SELECTED' is always the first one in my database and never the user that was selected when my activity was added :( !!!

    I have a question about memory management when using the addObjectsFromArray method. Basically, I have 2 arrays defined in the appDelegate. I need these 2 arrays for the duration of my application's runtime. I therefore release them in my appDelegate's dealloc method. When I go to use these two arrays in a class, I want one array to store the values from the other, so that the other can have it's contents removed, but still stick around for use. Something like this: [appDelegate.arrayTwo addObjectsFromArray:appDelegate.arrayOne]; [appDelegate.arrayOne removeAllObjects]; I'm getting the compiler error: EXC_BAD_ACCESS because of a pointer issue? retaining issue?     Hi all! I've got a cms-driven website, with no option to change the code. What I want to accomplish is creating friendly url's, using only apaches mod-rewrite engine. The problem is I'm creating an infinite loop, because I first redirect the original url (index.php?id=21) to a friendly one (/friendly/) and then rewrite the '/friendly' part back to 'id=21' I know there should be an extra condition or parameter to avoid looping in this case, but I can´t get one of the possible solutions to work.     I need to use a shell across multiple ajax requests. Basically this means that the next request should be able to continue with the same shell where the other process left off. The purpose is to communicate with daemons like FTP to open an FTP connection and log in and in the next request continue with that connection and be able to use it for uploads. But it's not limited to only the FTP daemon (as I know that FTP is supported in PHP).

  • How many instructions to access pointer in C?

    Hi All, I am trying to figure out how many clock cycles or total instructions it takes to access a pointer in C. I dont think I know how to figure out for example, p-x = d-a + f-b i would assume two loads per pointer, just guessing that there would be a load for the pointer, and a load for the value. So in this operations, the pointer resolution would be a much larger factor than the actual addition, as far as trying to speed this code up, right? This may depend on the compiler and architecture implemented, but am I on the right track? I have seen some code where each value used in say, 3 additions, came from a f2->sum = p1->p2->p3->x + p1->p2->p3->a + p1->p2->p3->m type of structure, and I am trying to define how bad this is

I get no security warnings, which I used to get before the policy server was in place. Still, the connection to port 12869 doesn't work.   • java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError in eclipse

    Hi all, I am not a Java programmer really, so I am posting this question. The exception is being thrown java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError in my main class in an eclipse project. If I comment out the imports that this class has, it compiles and runs fine. If I put the imports back in, it does not work. Does this mean that the libraries I am importing were compiled with a newer or older version of java than I have? when i do java -version on the system i get 1.5_07 I could've sworn this was actually working last week, but maybe some setting in eclipse got tweaked? Is the Java Build Path in eclipse what I need to look for to check the JRE and compiler versions?

I am looking for a solution that would allow me to divide my time better. is open sourcing where I take the role of guiding the project realistic, or are there better solutions?   • WPF, Setting property with single value on multiple subcontrols

    I have a parent contentcontrol which displays data via a datatemplate. The datatemplate contains a stackpanel with several usercontols of the same type. I like to set the property only once on the parent control, it must set the value of the property on all the subcontrols. But if there is a way to do it on the stackpanel it's also OK. The template can be changed at runtime and the values need also to be propagated to the new template. My current solution is to implement the property on both parent and subcontrol and use code to propagate the value from the parent to all the subcontrols. My question is: is there a better or other ways of doing this?

    I am working on an application with multiple clients and a server running various web-services for the clients. To implement licensing I am thinking about using HTTPS as a protocol for the web-services using certificates that are issued by our company. By influencing the expiration date of a certificate for a client we can prevent them from using our software after their license term. It this possible and does it make sense to you? Additional information: I am planning on using Qt/C++ for the clients, and the Twisted framework for the web-services.
