• jQuery: form input values turns up undefined

  Having problem with this bit of code qith jQuery. it should pick the values from current form and then submit them, but when I try to get them with jQuery they always turn up undefined. I know the SQL results are fine since they show correctly in HTML table, so it must be my inferior javascript skills. I removed readonly declarations in the above sample, but probleme persists. Function calls are performed in $() which should make them run into seperated shell instances so variable modified are not exported to the main shell But I cannot manage to find a workaround to this issue... • wrong return value with jquery ajax and codeigniter

  I do not know if this is specifically a jquery problem, actually I think it has to mostly do with my logic in the php code. What Im trying to do is make a voting system that when the user clicks on the vote up or vote down link in the web page, it triggers an ajax call to a php function that first updates the database with with the required value, on success of the database updating the another function is called just to get the required updated html for the that particular post that the user has voted on. (hope I havnt lost you). The problem I think deals with specifically with this one line of code. When I make the call it only returns the value of $row-beer_down and completly ignores everything else in that line. Funny thing is the same php code to display the html view works perfectly before the ajax function updates it. echo "<p>Score " . $row->beer_up + $row->beer_down .   Update: As seen in the Original Questions below, I am looking to echo an array. The problem is that when I send the Moneris gateway to return a POST array to my new file (cart.php) it gets a 500 Internal Server Error. This is the same error I received when it send to the script, which should have worked. Is there any reason that it would always send a 500 Internal Server Error? Here is my dilemma: I have a script (ImageFolio Commerce) that hasn't been updated on our server since.. probably 2003. The script had a Payment Gateway (Moneris) manually added to it by the company who offers the script. This costs $1000 to get them to add a gateway. I now have a new client who purchased this business from the previous owner. While switching the account to the new owner's Moneris account, we found out that things have been updated. Long story short.. The Moneris gateway can send 3 types of responses: POST with XML Data POST GET I imagine it is easiest to just use the POST array. I have the file that it sends the response to. As of now the file responds with a Internal Server error, but it does process the order. What I want to do is determine what the POST array is that is being sent, so that I can take it and echo it in a logical manner. Is there a way to capture and echo the entire POST? • rsync creating thousands of ..ds_store files from mounted volume

  I've been using rsync on OS X to sync all our website admins. It was working fine until the OS X 10.6.3 update! Now it creates thousands of empty (0-kb) folders. It only does it when synching to a mounted network drive (which we need to do) as when I sync to my local drive it works as usual!   Hi I've never read COBOL in my life and have been tasked with rewriting the old COBOL code in a new language. Are there any free or free-to-try software packages out there that will generate a flow chart for a COBOL program? I've looked at "Visustin" and "Code Visual to Flowchart" Visustin blanks out part of the code and does random rotations in the demo version, which causes the demo to be less accurate. I couldn't get Code Visual Flow Chart to work correctly with our code. Know of any other packages I might try?

• When using TCP load balancing with HAProxy, does all outbound traffic flow through the LB?

  I am setting up an app to be hosted using VMs(probably amazon, but that is not set in stone) which will require both HTTP load balancing and load balancing a large number(50k or so if possible) of persistant TCP connections. The amount of data is not all that high, but updates are frequent. Right now I am evaluating load balancers and am a bit confused about the architecture of HAProxy. If I use HAProxy to balance the TCP connections, will all the resulting traffic have to flow through the load balancer? If so, would another solution(such as LVS or even nginx_tcp_proxy_module) be a better fit?

• How do you reach a "flow" state while programming?

  I'm not talking about program flow, but as in the state of working called flow, the state where you can get great work done the most effectively. I find that my current work environment while good in many ways does not allow me to get into a good state of mind for writing code most of the time (my job includes many other functions). If it's critical to get something done I'll often put on head-phones with classical music and try to drown out the office noise around me (and discourage co-workings from asking me questions). I am best able to get work done late in the evening when the house is quite and I've been thinking about the project for most of the day. What tricks have you found when working in less then perfect office environments?

  I am aware of passing data between jsp in spring web flow. Is it possible to transfer data between html pages driven by spring web flow. I don't want to use the HTML5 local storage capabilities. Example: Page 1: Search box for an employee id. Page 2: Search result for the employee details. Two ways that I could think: Get the employee details in page 1 by ajax and pass the result to the page two. Pass the employee id to page 2 and get the result by ajax in onload. In both case I need to pass any variable/data. I am confused in doing this. Is there anything in the Spring webflow using which I could do this? Thanks in advance, Easwar

  I'm about to throw in the towel on this one. Running SQL Server 2008 enterprise on Windows 7 x64. Can't get past this issue. When I try to Import / Export Data from databases through SQL Server Management Studio I get the following Error. Error: TITLE: SQL Server Import and Export Wizard ------------------------------ The SSIS Data Flow Task could not be created. Verify that DTSPipeline.dll is available and registered. The wizard cannot continue and it will terminate. ------------------------------ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Cannot create a task with the name "STOCK:PipelineTask". Verify that the name is correct. ({0194F10C-9860-4A4F-AF8B-DE7EFD89859F}) I have tried many solutions found via Google, but none of them have worked. A side issue that may be related is when I try to create an Integration Services Project in Business Intelligence Studio I get a 'project creation failed' error.

• Select (loop) or command not working in shell-script

  I've been tinkering with Linux and Unix for years but still a novice in my mind and recently find myself trying to be more pro with it as I work in IT. So with that notion I'm studying shell scripting. I've hit a snag in ubuntu using the latest version 13.10 Saucy. When I use the select command in a sh script it doesn't work, depending on how I format the command it will either return Unexpected "do" or Unexpected "done". However when executed from a script I get the before mentioned errors. Also a side note I have tried this in Fedora as a script and it worked perfectly so my question is why isn't it working in Ubuntu, is this a difference between RHL and Debian?
