My question is on which connection should I enable "Internet Connection Sharing"? Is it on LAN Connection'Settings > Advanced of Ad-hoc network Connections' Settings > Advanced ? As soon as I enable it for location ~/cgi-bin it gives me a 404 error when I try to look it up. How can I solve this? I thought about restricting access to only my second server where I then add basic authentication over a proxy, but there must be a simpler solution. Sorry for the bad title, I couldn't think of a better one.

  • Buttons vanishing from Visual Basic Toolbar

    I'm using Microsoft Visual Basic 6 and am having trouble with the toolbar. Several buttons have recently vanished from the toolbar, and replacing them with the View-Toolbar option only worked temporarily. Now, however, the Toolbar button has disappeared off the View menu, and the Customize button has likewise vanished from the Tools menu. Does anyone know what the problem is, or where I can find out how to correct this?

The ones using "curl" are easy, but i also have a Nutch crawl that uses the "solrindex" command to push data into Solr.     Hi Everyone, I am hoping someone can help me with a question i have relating to Basic HTTP Authentication in an Xcode 2.3 application. Basically i have a PHP page that is on our server and when called with certain parameters returns data relating to the servers condition etc. i have managed to get a small Xcode application working where by it reads the data from the page and populates an NSTextView with the data. however to make sure this information stays safe i have setup basic HTTP Authentication on the page, but i cannot work out how to provide the username and password in XCode. here is my code to retrieve the page. NSURL *url = [NSURL URLWithString:@"http://www.google.com"]; NSString *content = [NSString stringWIthContentsOfUrl:url]; [myTextView setString:content]; i am still at a very basic beginner level regarding xcode and obj c, so nice simple examples of how i go about this would really be appreciated.   • Basic Profanity Filter in Objective C for iPhone

    How have you like minded individuals tackled the basic challenge of filtering profanity, obviously one can't possibly tackle every scenario but it would be nice to have one at the most basic level as a first line of defense. In Obj-c I've got NSString *tokens = [text componentsSeparatedByString:@" "]; And then I loop through each token to see if any of the keywords (I've got about 400 in a list) are found within each token. Realising False positives are also a problem, if the word is a perfect match, its flagged as profanity otherwise if more than 3 words with profanity are found without being perfect matches it is also flagged as profanity. Later on I will use a webservice that tackles the problem more precisely, but I really just need something basic. So if you wrote the word penis it would go yup naughty naughty, bad word written.

The minutes may or may not have leading zeros. Because I need to separate out the minutes and seconds for various operations, I need to be able to get at the numbers before and after the colon. How do I select the number before a colon in a cell, and how do I select the number after?

  • Not able to find IIS Manager and enable IIS in Windows7 Home Basic

    I enabled IIS services in the add/remove windows components. However, when i want to open the manager, the IIS Manager does not appear under the administrative tools on the control panel. If i type the shortcut "inetmgr" into the run block it doesn't find it. However, i know the service installed correctly. It is a very frustrating problem since everyone says find it here or here but no one gives any help on what to do if is doesn't appear in the said locations at all. Can anyone please help me? The system i am using is Windows 7 home basic. The service installed correctly but i cannot find the IIS Manager.

    We're deploying thin clients connecting to a terminal server farm. The computers have high visibility to the public and I would like them to at least look presentable and not like something out of 1995. So I installed the Desktop Experience feature and enabled the Theme service. The server will not support Aero because it has no 3D graphics, but we can enable the Windows 7 Basic theme, which has the Aero look without the 3D effects. The problem with that theme is that you can select any window color you want, as long as it's baby boy blue. Is there a way to make those windows another color? The window color controls do nothing.

    Hi! I'm trying to run an application made with Visual Basic 6.0 on a Windows 7 64 bit edition. The application is asking me for the DLL vb6es.dll. I have copied this file from a Windows XP into the C:\Windows\system32 directory, but I continue getting the same error. Searching on Google, I found the support statement of visual basic 6.0 on windows 7 and it says "32bit apps running in WOW only" for Windows 7 64 bit editions. What does this mean? Thanks.

  • Dual boot - disk partition issues basic vs dynamic disk

    I have a lenovo X1 that I am looking to dual boot windows and ubuntu on. I am having an issue. The disk came with 4 partitions SYSTEM_DRV, Windows C:, Lenovov Recovery, Hibernate Partition I have a SSD (250 gb) I have shrunk Windows C: so that I have 100gb of unallocated space. My plan was to install ubuntu on that. But when I try to create a new partition to install ubuntu on. Windows is saying I have to convert to a dynamic disk. I don't really understand the difference between Dyanimc and Basic disk but a quick search I am assuming I dont want to do this as I boot from this disk? Any suggestions on what I can do to dual boot? Thanks

    I am administrating a small server for LAN, providing basic services such as web-proxy, ldap, kerberos, afs, etc. Yesterday there was a power cut so server halted. When I restarted it no network interfaces were available and configured. I tried restarting networking daemon but it just exited with 0 status. So I tried to run one of the interfaces manually, but ifup and ifdown commands simply are not there. No only in PATH, but they disappeared from /sbin. So my question is: how can I recover these network utilities?

If I were to have a series of functions that referenced a different column in a worksheet but all ended on the same row of data is there a way to point the 'row' part of a cell reference to a blank cell and use it has a variable to show the results of the functions up to a desired row simultaneously?     I Have a HP 1018 printer. In my previous PC (with vista home premium) it worked just fine, and still works. In my new PC, which came with vista home basic, the printing almost never works. What happens is as follows 1 - I install the printer, windows says its ok. 2 - I send a document to print. 3 - Printer screen (spool) shows the document for 1 or 2 seconds and then it disappear. For two times it worked after numerous reinstallations, and after I restart my computer it stop working again. Any Ideas?

In the above configuration, I have installed windows xp 64 bit operating systems and continue to installed vmware workstation 6.5. From the VM workstation, I can able to install ESX3.5 update2, but I unable to start properly, please refer the below mention error. “Mounting root failed. Dropping into basic maintenance shell. To collect logs for VMware, connect a USB storage device and run 'bin/vm-support '. Machine will be rebooted when you exit from this shell.” The same was tested in the windows 2003 Enterprise Edition server / windows 7 32bit / windows 7 64bit also, Please help me to resolve the issue.
