  • Am I allowed to subclass UIWebView?

    I just want to clear this up once and for all, is it ok to subclass a UIWebView? Will I ever have to be nervous about apple rejecting the app because of a UIWebView subclass? The documentation states: Subclassing Notes The UIWebView class should not be subclassed. But at the same time Apple contradicts itself with this WWDC video: https://developer.apple.com/videos/wwdc/2011/?id=511#rich-text-editing-in-safari-on-ios In slide 41 they specifically talk about subclassing a UIWebView Thanks in advance!

  • Problems persisting Core Data structures on iPhone/iPad

    I have an iPhone/iPad app using Core Data to keep my application data. Sometimes, even though I don't get any error messages, the data is not really saved so when the app starts anew, it's all gone. This problem seems to disappear after physically rebooting the device, but otherwise it's pretty random and hard to track. Has anyone seen a similar issue? Also, it seems to happen more often in the iPhone 1st generation, less so in the 3G/3GS, and seldom in the iPad. Very strange...

  • AJAX XMLHttpRequest Error Flag

    Hi, I made a query to an address and I got the readyState = 4, and the status = 0. After I read the documentation for the XMLHttpRequest, it says if the status = 0 and readyState = 4, then check the associated error flag. How can I see whats in this error flag to determine the cause of the status not being set to 200? Thanks.

  • Cocoa : How do I catch drag operations initiated from an IKBrowserView?

    So I've got an IKBrowserView all wired up and happily dragging my custom datatype (provided lazily via PasteboardItem) from one window to another, but now I'm interested in detecting when the user drops some data onto the trashcan. Cocoa's documentation says to check the return type of the drag operation itself, but how exactly do I do this with an IKBrowserView? Once I call imageBrowser:writeItemsAtIndexes:toPasteboard: I don't seem to get any notifications other than the request for the pasteboard contents, which doesn't provide a pointer to the drag operation that invoked it.

    Hi, I'm working with devexpress pivot grid, so I added the paging function and everything is working fine, the only thing I need to do is display the total row on each page, at this moment it is displayed just in the last one, I was looking on DevExpress documentation and it looks like pivot grid calculate the total and gran total automatically and I don't find any thing about my task, anybody knows how can I do this???     According to this post, in .Net, Finalizers are actually even worse than that. Besides that they run late (which is indeed a serious problem for many kinds of resources), they are also less powerful because they can only perform a subset of the operations allowed in a destructor (e.g., a finalizer cannot reliably use other objects, whereas a destructor can), and even when writing in that subset finalizers are extremely difficult to write correctly. And collecting finalizable objects is expensive: Each finalizable object, and the potentially huge graph of objects reachable from it, is promoted to the next GC generation, which makes it more expensive to collect by some large multiple. Does this also apply to JVMs in general and to HotSpot in particular?

  • Manage groups of build configurations in Hudson

    I'm using Hudson to build my application. I have several branches that come and go. Whenever there's a new branch, I have to set up the following builds for it: a continuous build that runs after every change in SVN a nightly build a nightly site generation (I'm using Maven under the hood) and a weekly integration build for some branches currently this means I need to copy four template configurations and set them up with the branch URL. I don't like this for two reasons: It's redundant, so modifying something is error-prone and takes a lot of time. I need four full checkouts of the product per branch on every build slave, plus four separate private Maven repository, not to mention the built artifacts. This is a lot of space wasted. What I'd like instead is to have one workspace and one configuration for allthese builds. Is this possible with Hudson?

    I've heard that Windows Mobile will broadcast a WM_CLOSE message to all inactive (?) windows if system memory falls below a certain threshold. I think I'm seeing this occur with my app too.     My web form contains list of dynamic fields that are generated like this: <% for (int i = 0; i < Model.Options.Count; i++) { %> ... <%= Html.Hidden("Options[" + i + "].Id", Model.Options[i].Id)%> <%= Html.CheckBox("Options[" + i + "].Selected", Model.Options[i].Selected)%> ... This maps perfectly on array of controller method parameters as described in Model Binding To A List article. I want to add label for checkboxes to title them, but I have to guess their ids in hmtl layout. Options[" + i + "].Selected turns into Options_0__Selected How can I avoid hardcoding Id generation in-built asp.net mvc rules? Thank you advance.

    The new documentation on ProGuard for Android says to add a line to the default.properties file in the project home directory. However, on opening this file, I read at the top: # This file is automatically generated by Android Tools. # Do not modify this file -- YOUR CHANGES WILL BE ERASED! Am I missing something? Also, is there a way to enable ProGuard only for a production build from Eclipse (i.e., when exporting the finished product)?

  • SDL_GL_SwapBuffers Segfault

    I'm getting a segfault that GDB says is coming from SDL_GL_SwapBuffers. However, I can't imagine why. The SDL documentation mentions no specific pre-conditions for calling swapBuffers except that double buffering be allowed. Is this an option I have to turn on while initializing OpenGL or is this a hardware capability thing? My code: http://pastie.org/859721 (Ignore the unused variables, strange comments and other things. I haven't prettied this up at all. :P)

But i couldnt get pow function when i use Math.pow(). I need to get this value...float fSecondFactor=(float) (Math.pow(1+fRatePerMonth,fNumberofMonths)-1); Can anyone tell me how to achieve this...Plzz....
