• Using Javascript, How do I bring an already existing open window to the front on top of other window

  The question was fairly descriptive but I'll describe it further. Basically, I have Window1, clicking a button link opens window2. Clicking a button in window2 opens window3, clicking a button in window3 should bring window2 back to the front of the screen on top of window2. I'm not sure how this is exactly done, however I have used and played around with focus(), opener and other various methods and I cannot seem to get it to work properly. Thanks for any help in advance!

  I'm unable to find the .NET FCL built-in concept of precedence to leverage while constructing Expression Trees. Ref System.Linq.Expressions Namespace. Is this something that must be handled manually in code, or is it somehow implicit and I'm not recognizing it, maybe through helper methods or classes? I want to apply it to math operations to ensure 3 + 5 * 10 results in 53 instead of 80.

  We have some Hibernate getter methods annotated with both @Column and @Basic. We get an exception if we don't have the corresponding setter. Why is this? In our case we are deriving the value returned from the getter (to get stored in the DB) and the setter has no functional purpose. So we just have an empty method to get around the error condition..

The method accepts one parameter of type interface and the return type of the method is the same interface. I was wondering if there is some kind of a naming convention for such methods.   I generally test my web apps with Firefox and use Firebug. I love Firebug. But when I'm testing JavaScript code in IE I use the debugger in Microsoft's Visual Web Developer 2008 Express Edition. I would love to have an equivalent to Firebug's console.log methods which would allow me to log messages to Visual Web Developer. Any way to log messages to the error list/messages list/output pane using JavaScript?
