I understand that performance would be problem if we keep an uniqueness constraint but since the amount of data being added is very small performance is not a big concern, rather development time is a concern here.   • jQuery drag and drop behavior with partially transparent image

    I'm trying to develop a drag-and-drop behavior based on the jQuery UI draggable behavior but am running into some road blocks. I want to be able to drag several images with transparent regions around a region of the screen. I want the user to be able to drag the image he clicks and not just whatever draggable div or PNG happens to be z-indexed on top. The below image is a screen grab from my test page. If I click the lower left region of the blue square through the red thing I should drag the square and not the red thing. The red thing is what gets dragged though because it is on top and the browser does not care about the transparency. My question is, how can I make it behave as expected in this situation and drag the square instead? Edit: Seems I can't attach images as a new user.     When you are designing a JMS application, which use cases make you pick temporary queues over persistent queues? We use temporary queues for response messages. We're having some issues maintaining connections to the temp queues, though, so I am testing persistent response queues, instead. One clear disadvantage of persistent queues is that your application has to "know" about them beforehand. If that's not a big deal, though, are there use cases where temp queues are the obvious choice?

  • UITableViewCell and strange behaviour in grouped UITableView

    I'm working on a grouped UITableView, with 4 sections with one row per section, and have a strange behaviour with the cells. The cells are plain UITableViewCells, but the height of the cells are around 60 - 80 pixel. Now the tableview renders the cells correct with round corners, but when I select the cells, they appear blue and recangle. I don't know why the cells behave like this, because I have another grouped UITableView with custom cells and 88 pixel height and those cells work like they should. If I change the height to the default height of 44 pixel, the cells behave like the should. Does anyone know about this behaviour and what the cause is? Like I mentioned, I don't do any fancy stuff I use default UITableViewCells in a static, grouped UITableView with 4 sections with 1 row in each section. evangelion2100

  • How to change the color of the navigation bar in more than one table view controller

    I am trying to figure out how to change the color of the table view navigation bar in multiple table views. The table views are all connected to a navigation controller. For example, I want one navigation bar to be blue, but another to be red. I have tried the code below in the AppDelegate.m file, but it just changes all the navigation bars to the same color. Is there anywhere else I could place this code to change the color in specific places. I've heard that I need to create new files, but I don't know where to place the code, or what code to use in the new files. I am somewhat new to this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated![[UINavigationBar appearance] setBarTintColor:[UIColor orangeColor]];

    I have a custom Dialog that contains only a TextView to display some text in my application. The documentation lists that only the b, i, u, tt, big, small, sup, sub, and strike tags are supported. I really need to add some newlines for readability. Do I need to change to a more complicated layout, or is there some way to encode newlines in the resource? I tried adding br tags, but that did not help.

    Consider de following markup: <div id="outerElement"> <div id="innerElement" style="border: 1px solid blue; background-color: #f0f3f5; margin-top: 100px"> TESTE </div> </div> I want to get the actual final height of outerElement using javascript. I noticed that if I remove the vertical margins from innerElement I am able to get what I want but I cannot alter styles from within the outerElement. How do I do this? Obs: I already tried height, scrollheight and offsetHeight in all browsers. Chrome gives me the expected value (including inner element's margins) for scrollHeight. All other browsers fail.

  • PC reboots spontaenously: debugging tips [closed]

    I swapped my core 2 duo for a quad core recently, and generally things run fine, but every now and then my computer just restarts. I don't even get a blue screen (Vista 32). Core temp isn't a problem. My thinking is that my power supply is inadequate, but I haven't been able to test that (one idea was to under clock the cpu to see if that helped, but going up in speed was the only simple thing to do in the BIOS) Two cases where I semi-consistanly get problems: - Borderlands windowed after some period of time (and some other games, but Borderlands does it pretty regularly) - watching a video (e.g. quicktime/vlc) and having another video running Another thought is non-cpu heat? Maybe the graphics card? Any thoughts on how to track this down appreciated. Thanks!

    Regular HTML select boxes (such as, e.g. found here), while being "chosen" are presented by the iPhone on a native widget that seems to totally ignore regular html font sizes and whatnot. It does some ellipsing when it goes too long, but the font is way too big for a list I want to present -- even on landscape, only about 35 characters can fit. Is there any way to tell the iPhone to use a smaller font there?

    I use JCL Project Analyser to see what units are used in my project, in order to 'clean' it. But, for big projects, I don't really see the dependencies beause I see the units names but not where they are used. I used Map file but with no success. Is there any free tool for having used units AND where they are used ? I tried GExpert Project Dependancies without succes : Example : I have JCLInifiles in Project Analyser but I don't see it in GExpert Project Dependancies.

  • How to combine several movieclips into one scene?

    Hi everyone, I'm creating a website that allows kids to designs a tshirt. I will have four section, colour, graphic, text and print. I have created these sections on demos and they are all working. I now need to properly create them all on one movie clip. I'm having problems with it, when i select the chosen tshirt colour and move onto the graphic section the shirt is white again and hasnt came through blue. Its the same for every section, when I select a grahic they dont come through either etc when I click the next button it refreshs the page. Does anyone know how to create this kind of design on one movie clip using different frames and so that the colour etc transfers onto each new page? PLEASE HELP!!!
