• Uploadify works for Visual Studio but not for IIS 7(same machines), using Forms authentication. Doe

  I'm using the Uploadify jQuery control for client-side uploads. I think my IIS 7 configuration has issues with it. The uploadify POST immediately returns a HTTP 1.1 302 Found, back to my login page. I've tried to allow anonymous access to the uploading section(subfolder) plus the page(script) that processes the image in the web.config, using the location node(configuration ... location). Seems like the Uploadify post is immediately blocked. Again, this worked fine just using Visual Studio 2008, but when I run the site on the same machine I get the redirect. Your thoughts/ideas are very welcomed!

• ASP.NET Session State Error only on default document

  I have a site where when accessing via site.com/default.aspx everything is fine, however when accessing via site.com/ I get a session error as follows: "Session state can only be used when enableSessionState is set to true, either in a configuration file or in the Page directive. Please also make sure that System.Web.SessionStateModule or a custom session state module is included in the \\ section in the application configuration." I have confirmed that default.aspx is the highest priority default document and that it is the page being loaded. However why is this session error only occurring when accessing via the default document? The server is 2008 R2 and IIS 7.5.

  I've been reviewing the draft version of the upcoming C++0x standard. Specifically the section on lambdas, and am confused as to the reasoning for not introducing polymorphic lambdas. I had hoped we could use code such as the following: template<typename Container> void foo(Container c) { for_each(c.begin(),c.end(),[](T& t) { ++t; }); } What were the reasons: Was it the committee ran out of time? That polymorphic lambdas are too hard to implement? Or perhaps that they are seen as not being needed by the PTB?

• VS2008: Add custom build rule to a Property Sheet (vsprops)?

  I'm using the CUDA .rules file which comes with the CUDA SDK for custom build steps in my project. To save on property duplication I'd like to define the properties of the CUDA rule in a .vsprops file. For some reason, the CUDA rule branch of the properties tree does not show under any of my property sheets, only under the main configurations sheets. I tried editing the .vsprops with a text edition and add the section by hand but there is no change it still does't show when in visual studio. Is there a way to do this?

• In javascript, error says 'is null or not an object'. When trying to use .change() code to hide form

  I'm getting a javascript error. The form has a dropdown asking "How did you find us?" If the user selects 'other', which is an <option> with value=6, a text input field .referrer_other becomes visible. Javascript is currently reporting that: '$.listHidden[...] is null or not an object'. It's an error that appears in IE. I found this code on the internet somewhere. Is there a way to fix it, or should I look for something else? Thanks

• xcode build to iphone chooses old invalid provisioning profile

  I've just gone through some pain with iphone and xcode upgrades and keychain failures etc and decided to uninstall xcode completely and re-install. This fixed my keychain issues however the project I am working on appears to be linked to an old invalid provisioning profile. I've deleted the profile from "Provisioning Profiles" in organiser, and removed it from Provisioning on the Iphone section of Organiser. However when I build an go with the iphone sdk rather than simulator i get the pop up "codesign wants to sign using key "OldKey" in your keychain". It appears the actual app is associated with the old key and I can't seem to find how to point it to the new valid one. Crazy thing is at some point I managed to get it to work and install but the application crashed and won't open. I've not managed to get it to install again. Any ideas?

  I know what you're thinking, ANOTHER netbeans xdebug post? Well, I've tried everything I've seen in other posts, and nothing seems to work. Here's my setup: OS: Ubuntu 9.10 PHP: 5.2.1 Netbeans: 6.8 The following is in my /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini zend_extension=/usr/lib/php5/20060613/xdebug.so xdebug.remote_enable=1 xdebug.remote_handler=dbgp xdebug.remote_host=localhost xdebug.remote_port=9000 xdebug.idekey="netbeans-xdebug" I've tried switching ports (I've tried 9001, 9002, and 9034 so far), using zend_extension_ts, adding additional xdebug parameters in the config file, but nothing seems to work: Netbeans still says it's waiting for connection (netbeans-xdebug) If I look at my phpinfo, I do see a whole section on xdebug, and the parameters are correct. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How can I implement it? Should I have download them in the server before zipping it and download to client?   Question Where can I find a list of changes introduced to Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate RTM that were added since Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate RC? In fact, I'm only interested in changes related to MS Test Manager 2010 and Coded UI Tests. Where I have looked so far I have searched the Internet, looked for a readme.txt in the installation folder, looked into the Visual Studio help (F1) and browsed the "What's new in Visual Studio 2010" section on MSDN. No luck. Found Scott Guthrie's blog post Visual Studio 2010 and .NET 4 Released, but that's not exactly what I am looking for. It's not a changelog since VS2010RC. I suppose there is no such file because they made too many changes to document and hand out to end users. But if there was, I'd be glad if someone could point me to it. Thanks.

• Seam reRender component in partial

  Hello, I'm using seam to develop a simple web app. Using a4j commandButton in many places, with the property reRender="componentName" componentName is in most places a a4j outputPanel Which always worked, until I used a template. with include of two different views. reRender applied to the whole view does work, but reRender applied to an inner component does not. Same issue with page rules, all action I had defined are not functioning any more. But I have removed all cells in atableview before call 'reloadData'.   I don't have an iPad yet to find this out; have had only a brief opportunity to look at one at the Apple store. Could someone please describe what, if anything, happens to the mouseOver event of an image-map area when the image-map|area has had user-select disabled with "webkit-user-select: none" in the CSS, as described here in section 5: http://developer.apple.com/safari/library/technotes/tn2010/tn2262/index.html When a finger tip is placed on the image-map area and held there (i.e.not a tap) is the mouseOver eventhandler invoked under those circumstances? Or does nothing happen other than the image-map area doesn't change color because it's now unselectable? In my brief experience with the iPad at the Apple store, when user-select is not disabled, and the image-map area has a mouseOver eventhandler, a tap fires the mouseOver event rather than the click event. • Mapping <C-Tab> in my vimrc fails in Ubuntu

  I want to map ctrl-tab to :tabn, and ctrl-shift-tab to :tabp. I had it working for gVim in Windows XP, but moved it to my .vimrc in Ubuntu 9.10 and it doesn't work (vim 7.2). Here's the relevant section of my .vimrc: nmap <C-Tab> :tabn<CR> nmap <C-S-Tab> :tabp<CR> nmap <C-t> :tabnew<CR> <C-t> works fine, so mapping the ctrl key doesn't seem to be a problem. I really have no idea where to start! What could be going wrong here, considering it worked fine under Windows?

  I am using a ASP.net form with custom onclick mouse events to modify data values. Upon clicking and updating the values, one div section of the form performs a postback. onclick="__doPostBack('ctl01$phCon1$gridReports','sel1')" This is working well, however when the browser BACK option is selected, the browser opens goes through the history of the DIV ajax/onclick actions prior to going back to the prior URL. I suspect that this may be due to the doPostBack being treated as a browsing operation. Is there a means to perform the necessary ASP.net code events to make the page work, but not have the action stored in the browser history?

  hello, i want to learn rails and as a project to learn rails i came across webquests. what a webquest is is clearly written here1 and this is a example how a webquest look like. i started with script/generate nifty_scaffold introduction index and repeat this for every section like task , Process, Evaluation and so on. but i dont think thats the right way because i have a lot of code for the same thing. on the other side i am more flexible on designing views or controllers instead of having only one controller foer all pages. i am not asking here to get code. i am asking who to "build" such a backend where you can click on "New Webquest" a form comes up and you can enter all the text who belongs to the topic. maybee i can add some drawings later. i hope anyone can show me how to do that. or post me some links or some rtfms :D regards, buk

  I'm using NSIS package generator in CMake 2.8.1 to distribute a Qt application. Everything is working fine... except the use of CPACK_CREATE_DESKTOP_LINKS to create a desktop link to the application. I've looked through the CMake source (including it's own "bootstrap" installation definition for windows), and as far as I can tell I'm doing the same thing. Is there a way to programmatically stop swank? It seems start-repl takes control of the thread.   Hi, I'm trying to optimize my page load times, and I'm using Pingdom to test the site response times. However, I'm not exactly sure what the various components of the "time bar" mean. Example link: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/?url=http://neosmart.net/forums//&id=2230361 According to them, the portion of the bar that is yellow is the time between "start" and "connect" and the portion of the bar that is green is the time between "connect" and "first byte" with the blue section being the actual transfer time (time between "first byte" and "last byte"). If I'm trying to the first two (which take very long in my case), what's the recommended course of action? Thanks.

• Why are my "tel:" links not working

  I have a tableView which has cells with phone numbers. The app is not dialing the numbers though. The weird thing is, if I change the last statement to this: [[UIApplication sharedApplication] openURL:[NSURL URLWithString:@"tel:171"]]; the phone dials the number 171 without any issue

• How do I prevent duplicate entrys to mySQL?

  On my site, I have a form that users fill out to become a member. They fill out name, bday, email, etc. Then when they click submit, the data gets into mySQL. But sometimes when a user clicks submit many times or refreshes the page, the data gets inputted to the database more than once. How can I prevent this? Is there a code I can use to only let one set of data get into the database? This is also a problem in my comment section. I allow uses to put comments on people's profiles. But when they abuse the refresh button or submit button, I get like 10 of the same comments. Thanks.

Then all they will see is their special pricing while the regular users/clients see the default price. What is the best and simplest way to design the back-end for this? • Trying to access App.config file for mail settings but fails to work.

  Hello we have a Business Logic Layer which has an Email Services Class. In this class we have a method which will create an email(This part works and compiles fine). However when we try to access the app config file in order to test the method we get an error saying - Can't retrieve the app config mail settings and says all values are null when they are not.
