• Create a Setup File Windows.Net C#

  I have created a windows application setup program, it needs to have a text file in the application folder. The file is also included while creating the setup. Once the setup successfully completes and my program tries to modify the file based on user input, its simple throwing an exception. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium OS. Any suggestion/help will be great to overcome this issue.

• Rails - why would a model inside RAILS_ROOT/lib not be available in production mode?

  Hi - I have a class located inside RAILS_ROOT/lib folder, which I use in one of my helpers, and it works great in development. When I switch to production, the application throws a NameError (uninitialized constant SomeHelper::SomeClass), and I have to load it manually in the helper: load "#{Rails.root}/lib/some_class.rb" module SomeHelper def some_method sc = SomeClass.new # blah end end I was under the impression that everything inside RAILS_ROOT/lib/* should be available all to the app - is there anything I need to configure to make this happen in prod mode? thanks.

  Hi, I have a problem with Latex -- I don't know how to put mathematical equations and symbols in listings. I use --listings-- package and it's offers great looking listings, but it doesn't allow math symbols in $ .. $. Another package --algorithms-- allows math, but listings doesn't look as good as in --listings-- (the problem is that --algorithms-- demands to get new line after every --if--, --then--, etc.) Thanks for reply Michal

• Emacs persistent folding mode

  There are plenty of ways to fold code in Emacs and I've settled in on using the outline minor mode... it works great! However, I really want my folding to be persisted when I close and re-open files. It is quite frustrating to have folding set up in a file the way I like it, only to have that lost when I restart Emacs. Has anyone found a way to keep the folding state of a file persistent?

We have a great deal of our build environment in our repository so that we can check a given version out and rebuild it fairly close to what was in use at that time. We have the following in there now: InnoSetup binaries Third Party Components VCL (including Indy) Our Source (of course) Finalbuilder project files The only thing missing is the binaries for Delphi itself - I am wondering if there is a minimum set of files that can be copied to the repository and run. • How do I display the validation which failed in my Rails unit test?

  Summary: Failed unit tests tell me which assert (file:line) failed, but not which validation resulted in the failure. More info: I have 11 validations in one of my models. Unit testing is great, whether I run `rake test:units --trace' or 'ruby -Itest test/unit/mymodel_test.rb'. However, despite the fact that it tells me exactly which assert() failed me, I am not told which validation failed. I must be missing something obvious, because I can't ask Google this question well enough to get an answer. Thanks :)

  I have a Rsync program Deltacopy with an executable as client and server but would like to replace this if possible with a pure Ruby implementation of Rsync. I found gems like six-rsync and rsync-update but they seem to be no general implementations. I'm looking for a pure Ruby solution, so no executables involved and preferably runnable on multiple OS. If possible a simple sample would be great. I only look for Rsync, no other transfer or backup solutions please.

  Hey i'm using JSON with appengine. I'm using json for comunication, so in the python side i have import json the error i'm getting is this: <class 'django.core.exceptions.ViewDoesNotExist'>: Could not import views.ganttapp. Error was: No module named json In my stand alone this works great, is there any problem with json on the app engine? or should I use another module? Many staff I've encountered have little or no exposure to open source/systems and open source is treated with great suspicion. Some reasons given for this are lack of support and robustness, which is ironic given the number of end-of-life unsupported vendor products that are in production. Bonus points for any success stories where you've seen open source go into orgs like this and have a real benefit!

  Hi Folks, I have a scenario in which I have 2 Submit Buttons in a form for going back and forward. Both the buttons have different JavaScript associated with it. It is working great if we press these buttons to navigate. But when in Google Chrome, when someone press enter on any of the text box within the Form it does not calls the onClick of the button.
