    I would like to know, if you people out there could help me out, regarding the best practices or the a better way for creating a flash website... Actually I would like to know whether we should load the xml first and then the swf and other components or the other way round ?   • Change the precision of all decimal columns in every table in the database

    Hi all, I have a rather large database that has alot of decimal columns in alot of tables, the customer has now changed their mind and wants all the numbers (decimals) to have a precision of 3 d.p. instead of the original two. Is there any quick way of going through all the tables in a database and changing any decimal column in that table to have 3.d.p instead of 2 d.p? The db is on sql 2005. Any help would be great.

    A couple years ago I found a great site called something like 'programming-books.com' (but not exactly that). It let users submit links to their favorite books for various programming languages, and write a short blurb about why they're so good. You could include their Amazon page and the website would grab a cover picture. I've since lost that bookmark and am trying to find it again, anyone know what site I'm talking about?     I'm using the .net ajaxtoolkit control AutoCompleteExtender. It works great but my firefox autocomplete overrides the values that the extender is returning (the firefox one lays on top of the control's). is there a way to disable the browser's version of autocomplete so that the .net one takes precendence?

    This great SO answer points to a good sparse solver, but I've got constraints on x (for Ax = b) such that each element in x is >=0 an <=N. The first thing which comes to mind is an QP solver for large sparse matrices. Also, A is huge (around 2e6x2e6) but very sparse with <=4 elements per row. Any ideas/recommendations?

    I'm looking for a tool or service that can spider a web domain with a large number of pages, create a sitemap, and then visualize that map in a way that will help me see, understand and group content (I'm new to the site) Something like a tree-view or other standard Site Map visualizations would be great.     I've used a tool from Aspose (Aspose.PDF.kit) to generate a JPG thumbnail on the fly of a PDF for a .NET application. This works great, but what kind of other alternatives are there? Codeproject.com has this tutorial, but it requires you to have the full version of Acrobat. Is there an open source alternative that's geared for ASP.NET?

  • Jquery 3d image carousel - IE6 transparency

    I'm using the 3d image carousel available at http://www.professorcloud.com/mainsite/carousel.htm . It's great but I've hit a wall with regards to transparency support for IE6. As the images are being manipulated by java after they are loaded, it's quite a headache. All the mainstream png fixes fail in one way or another...either breaking the carousel or being broken by the animation of the carousel. Does anybody have any ideas on how I can get round this (without using PNG8, .gif etc).

  • Munin Mongodb Plugin Not Showing. . . ?

    I have installed munin and munin-node on my monitoring server and installed munin-node on my mongodb server, I have set them both up and all is working great. But, the mongodb plugins aren't showing on my monitoring server. I see the node listed and "Disk, Network, Processes, System", but not the mongo stuff. If I execute one of the plugins directly on the mongo server "python /usr/share/munin/plugins/mongo_btree" it returns output, but nothing shows on the monitoring server.
