• Could not import Django settings into Google App Engine

  Hello all you Google App Engine experts, I have used Django a little before but am new to Google App Engine and am trying to use it's development web server with Django for the first time. I don't know if this is relevent but I previously had Django 1.1 and Python 2.6 on my Windows XP and even though I have uninstalled Python 2.6 there is still a folder and entries in the registry. I have followed the instructions from Google but when I browse to the GAE developemnt web server it cannot find my settings (details below). Any hints gratefully received.   So I have a duration in seconds of a video and I would like to display that duration in Razor. Currently I am using @TimeSpan.FromSeconds(item.Duration).ToString() However the rest of the code I am using uses @Html.DisplayFor(modelItem => item.Description) Is there way to get the duration (currently an int) to display a as a timespan? using the @Html.DisplayFor syntax. The item.duration is pulling form a Entity Framework model which is held as a int in the database.

  Hi, basically, I have 3 tables; users and projects (which is a many-to-many relationship), then I have 'usersprojects' to allow the one-to-many formation. When a user adds a project, I need the project information stored and then the 'userid' and 'projectid' stored in the usersprojects table. It sounds like its really straight forward but I'm having problems with the syntax I think!? As it stands, I have this as my INSERT queries (values going into 2 different tables): $project_id = $_POST['project_id']; $projectname = $_POST['projectname']; $projectdeadline = $_POST['projectdeadline']; $projectdetails = $_POST['projectdetails']; $user_id = $_POST['user_id']; $sql = "INSERT INTO projects (projectid, projectname, projectdeadline, projectdetails) VALUES ('{$projectid}','{$projectname}','{$projectdeadline}','{$projectdetails}')"; $sql = "INSERT INTO usersprojects (userid, projectid) VALUES ('{$userid}','{$projectid}')"; None of the information is being stored in the projects table, but the user ID is being stored in the usersprojects table (but not project ID!?)... I did have it working where the project information is stored correctly with a project ID, before I added this bit: $sql = "INSERT INTO usersprojects (userid, projectid) VALUES ('{$userid}','{$projectid}')"; But before the code above was put in, obviously no info is being stored in usersprojects table.   Path.Combine is handy, is there a similiar function in the framework for Urls? I'm looking for syntax like this: Url.Combine("Http://MyUrl.com/", "/Images/Image.jpg") ...Which would return: "Http://MyUrl.com/Images/Image.jpg" ...Of course string concatenation would be fine here since the '//' would be handled intelligently by the browser. But it feels a little less elegant.

• CSS3 - Validator - RGBA wrong?

  I'm using the W3C CSS Validator with the Profile CSS3 but the validator says that my CSS rgba()'s are wrong. I looked up the Color Module Level 3, and the syntax is the same as mine. I also tried the Dev-Validator, same result. Example input: div.class { border: 1px solid rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5); } Am I wrong or why does the validator say that I have that many mistakes with rgba?

  I found my problem here, but there is only an answer for Python 2.6. Basically, I need to unescape strings such as this: 'a altieri_joão' to show the proper characters. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/990169/how-do-convert-unicode-escape-sequences-to-unicode-characters-in-a-python-string I need to do this in 3.1, but when I try print (u'a altieri_jo&#xe3;o') if gives me invalid syntax. And when I try name.decode('latin-1') it says 'str' has no method 'decode'.
