  I am not clear how to express my problem correctly in the question so forgive me if I am not able to properly convey my problem. I have following data. <tr class="header">Random Value 1</tr> <tr class="item">1</tr> <tr class="item">2</tr> <tr class="item">3</tr> <tr class="header">Random Value 2</tr> <tr class="item">4</tr> <tr class="item">5</tr> <tr class="item">6</tr> <tr class="header">Random Value 3</tr> <tr class="item">7</tr> <tr class="item">8</tr> <tr class="item">9</tr> What I want to acheive is that I want to select the with class header. I have achieved this by using the following line of code, HtmlNodeCollection headerNodes = doc.DocumentNode.SelectNodes("//tr[@class='header']"); Now I have all the header rows in the collection. Now I loop through all the header nodes and I want to get the table rows which are adjacent to the respective header rows. foreach (HtmlNode node in headerNodes) { HtmlNodeCollection itemNodes = ??? } My question is that what I should write here so that for header row with text "Random Value 1" I get the item rows 1,2 and 3. Similarly for header row with text "Random Value 2" I get the item row 4,5 and 6 and so on.

• How can I add my desired links to be read using PHP Universal FeedParser

  Hello, I have been trying to use the PHP Universal FeedParser to read RSS feeds and display the output on my site. Problem is I am VERY green with this and although it seems very simple. the only link that is working is the link provided in the sample. When I try to add another address with the xml or rss.php extensions, I keep getting errors,the page is loading blank,or the designated area for the feeds is blank. In addition to this, how can I add multiple links to feeds in a syntactically correct manor and how can I limit the amount of feeds? • Increasing Regex Efficiency

  I have about 100k Outlook mail items that have about 500-600 chars per Body. I have a list of 580 keywords that must search through each body, then append the words at the bottom. I believe I've increased the efficiency of the majority of the function, but it still takes a lot of time. Even for 100 emails it takes about 4 seconds. I run two functions for each keyword list (290 keywords each list). public List<string> Keyword_Search(HtmlNode nSearch) { var wordFound = new List<string>(); foreach (string currWord in _keywordList) { bool isMatch = Regex.IsMatch(nSearch.InnerHtml, "\\b" + @currWord + "\\b", RegexOptions.IgnoreCase); if (isMatch) { wordFound.Add(currWord); } } return wordFound; } Is there anyway I can increase the efficiency of this function? The other thing that might be slowing it down is that I use HTML Agility Pack to navigate through some nodes and pull out the body (nSearch.InnerHtml). The _keywordList is a List item, and not an array.

• How to associate static entity instances in a Session without database retrieval

  I have a simple Result class that used to be an Enum but has evolved into being its own class with its own table. public class Result { public static readonly Result Passed = new Result(StatusType.Passed) { Id = [Predefined] }; public static readonly Result NotRun = new Result(StatusType.NotRun) { Id = [Predefined] }; public static readonly Result Running = new Result(StatusType.Running) { Id = [Predefined] }; } Each of these predefined values has a row in the database at their predefined Guid Id. There is then a failed result that has an instance per failure: public class FailedResult : Result { public FailedResult(string description) : base(StatusType.Failed) { . . . } } I then have an entity that has a Result: public class Task { public Result Result { get; set; } } When I save a Task, if the Result is a predefined one, I want NHibernate to know that it doesn't need to save that to the database, nor does it need to fetch it from the database; I just want it to save by Id. The way I get around this is when I am setting up the session, I call a method to load the static entities: protected override void OnSessionOpened(ISession session) { LockStaticResults(session, Result.Passed, Result.NotRun, Result.Running); } private static void LockStaticResults(ISession session, params Result[] results) { foreach (var result in results) { session.Load(result, result.Id); } } The problem with the session.Load method call is it appears to be fetching to the database (something I don't want to do). How could I make this so it does not fetch the database, but trusts that my static (immutable) Result instances are both up to date and a part of the session?

• Uninitialized array offset

  Hey everyone, I am using PHP to create a form with an array of fields. Basically you can add an unlimited number of 'people' to the form and each person has a first name, last name, and phone number. The form requires that you add a phone number for the first person only. If you leave the phone number field blank on any others, the handler file is supposed to be programmed to use the phone number from the first person. So, my fields are: person[] - a hidden field with a value that is this person's primary key. fname[] - an input field lname[] - an input field phone[] - an input field My form handler looks like this: $people = $_POST['person'] $counter = 0; foreach($people as $person): if($phone[$counter] == '') { // use $phone[0]'s phone number } else { // use $phone[$counter] number } $counter = $counter + 1; endforeach; PHP doesn't like this though, it is throwing me an Notice: Uninitialized string offset error. I debugged it by running the is_array function on people, fname, lname, and phone and it returns true to being an array. I can also manually echo out $phone[2], etc. and get the correct value. I've also ran is_int on the $counter variable and it returned true, so I'm unsure why this isn't working as intended? Any help would be great!

  I have a web service implemented as EJB. One of it's methods returns Map<String,String>. On client side I use php : $client = new SoapClient($wsdl,array("cache_wsdl"=>WSDL_CACHE_NONE)); $result = $client->foo($params); Everything works fine, but I would like $result-return to be an associative array. Now it looks like array(10) { [0]=> object(stdClass)#46 (2) { ["key"]=> string(4) "key1" ["value"]=> string(4) "val1" } .... I want array(10) {"key1"=>"value1", "key2"=>"value2", .... } The obvious solution is to iterate through this array and create a new array $arr = array(); foreach ($result->return as $val) $arr[$val->key] = $val->value; But I wonder if there is a better way to get an assosicative array ?   I'm calling in a RSS feed to my website using PHP. Currently my code below is calling in the entire contents for pubDate: <pubDate>Thu, 12 Sep 2013 07:23:59 +0000</pubDate> How do I just display the day and month from the above example i.e. 12 Sep? EDIT I should clarify, the above line of code is an example output I currently get but as I'm calling the latest 3 posts from an RSS feed, this date and time will vary. I therefore need the code to be more dynamic (if that's the right term!) • Codeigniter Pagination: Run the Query Twice?

  I'm using codeigniter and the pagination class. This is such a basic question, but I need to make sure I'm not missing something. In order to get the config items necessary to paginate results getting them from a MySQL database it's basically necessary to run the query twice is that right? In other words, you have to run the query to determine the total number of records before you can paginate. So I'm doing it like: Do this query to get number of results $this->db->where('something', $something); $query = $this->db->get('the_table_name'); $num_rows = $query->num_rows(); Then I'll have to do it again to get the results with the limit and offset. Something like: $this->db->where('something', $something); $this->db->limit($limit, $offset); $query = $this->db->get('the_table_name'); if($query->num_rows()){ foreach($query->result_array() as $row){ ## get the results here } } I just wonder if I'm actually doing this right in that the query always needs to be run twice? The queries I'm using are much more complex than what is shown above.

• Custom rowsetClass does not return values

  Hi, I'm quite new to Zend and the database classes from it. I'm having problems mapping a Zend_Db_Table_Row_Abstract to my rows. The problem is that whenever I try to map it to a class (Job) that extends the Zend_Db_Table_Row_Abstract class, the database data is not receivable anymore. I'm not getting any errors, trying to get data simply returns null. Here is my code so far: Jobs: class Jobs extends Zend_Db_Table_Abstract { protected $_name = 'jobs'; protected $_rowsetClass = "Job"; public function getActiveJobs() { $select = $this->select()->where('jobs.jobDateOpen < UNIX_TIMESTAMP()')->limit(15,0); $rows = $this->fetchAll($select); return $rows; } } Job: class Job extends Zend_Db_Table_Row_Abstract { public function getCompanyName() { //Gets the companyName } } Controller: $oJobs = new Jobs(); $aActiveJobs = $oJobs->getActiveJobs(); foreach ($aActiveJobs as $value) { var_dump($value->jobTitle); } When I remove the "protected $_rowsetClass = "Job";" line, so that the table row is not mapped to my own class, I get all the jobTitles perfectly. • IO operation taking long time for files in remote server

  I have files of size 150 MB each in a remote server in a different domain in the network. I am accessing them thorugh UNC path. I want to read the file content and perform a basic string search. When I try reading the files line by line, the operation just don't finish and takes long time, more than 30 minutes. However when I copy those files to my local machine, the same code reads and performs the string search in less than 5 seconds. I don't have .NET framework installed in the server so I have to do this from my machine. I want to perform all this through C# code in .NET framework 3.5 so I don't want to explictly ftp all the files to my machine before performing this operation. Sample Code DirectoryInfo dir = new DirectoryInfo(@strFilePath); FileInfo[] fiArray = dir.getFiles("*.txt"); foreach (FileInfo fi in fiArray) { //reading file content from server takes long time but fast in local machine //perform string search } Let me know if my requirement is not clear. • How do I assert that two arbitrary type objects are equivalent, without requiring them to be equal?

  To accomplish this (but failing to do so) I'm reflecting over properties of an expected and actual object and making sure their values are equal. This works as expected as long as their properties are single objects, i.e. not lists, arrays, IEnumerable... If the property is a list of some sort, the test fails (on the Assert.AreEqual(...) inside the for loop). public void WithCorrectModel<TModelType>(TModelType expected, string error = "") where TModelType : class { var actual = _result.ViewData.Model as TModelType; Assert.IsNotNull(actual, error); Assert.IsInstanceOfType(actual, typeof(TModelType), error); foreach (var prop in typeof(TModelType).GetProperties()) { Assert.AreEqual(prop.GetValue(expected, null), prop.GetValue(actual, null), error); } } If dealing with a list property, I would get the expected results if I instead used CollectionAssert.AreEquivalent(...) but that requires me to cast to ICollection, which in turn requries me to know the type listed, which I don't (want to). It also requires me to know which properties are list types, which I don't know how to. So, how should I assert that two objects of an arbitrary type are equivalent? Note: I specifically don't want to require them to be equal, since one comes from my tested object and one is built in my test class to have something to compare with.

  I was wondering if there was a more efficient (efficient as in simpler/cleaner code) way of making a case statement like the one below... I have a dictionary. Its key type is an Enum and its value type is a bool. If the boolean is true, I want to change the color of a label on a form. The variable names were changed for the example. Dictionary<String, CustomType> testDict = new Dictionary<String, CustomType>(); //populate testDict here... Dictionary<MyEnum, bool> enumInfo = testDict[someString].GetEnumInfo(); //GetEnumInfo is a function that iterates through a Dictionary<String, CustomType> //and returns a Dictionary<MyEnum, bool> foreach (KeyValuePair<MyEnum, bool> kvp in enumInfo) { switch (kvp.Key) { case MyEnum.Enum1: if (someDictionary[kvp.Key] == true) { Label1.ForeColor = Color.LimeGreen; } else { Label1.ForeColor = Color.Red; } break; case MyEnum.Enum2: if (someDictionary[kvp.Key] == true) { Label2.ForeColor = Color.LimeGreen; } else { Label2.ForeColor = Color.Red; } break; } } So far, MyEnum has 8 different values.. which means I have 8 different case statements..   Continuing on my quest for a good plugin implementation I have been testing the StructureMap assembly scanning features. All plugins will inherit from abstract class PluginBase. This will provide access to common application services such as logging. Depending on it's function, each plugin may then implement additional interfaces, for example, IStartUpTask. I am initializing my plugins like so: Scan(x => { x.AssembliesFromPath(HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath("~/Plugins"), assembly => assembly.GetName().Name.Contains("Extension")); x.AddAllTypesOf<PluginBase>(); }); The difficulty I am then having is how to work against the interface (not the PluginBase) in code. It's easy enough to work with PluginBase: var plugins = ObjectFactory.GetAllInstances<PluginBase>(); foreach (var plugin in plugins) { } But specific functionality (e.g. IStartUpTask.RunTask) is tied to the interface, not the base class. I appreciate this may not be specific to structuremap (perhaps more a question of reflection). Thanks, Ben

Since I need to update existing entries I have to do something about that. As far as I can tell I have the following options: add/update the child entities in my PlayRepositories Add-Method restructure and rewrite ParsePlayInfo() so that get all the child entities first, add or update them and then create a new Play. The only problem I have here is that I wanted ParsePlayInfo() to be persistence ignorant, I could work around this by creating multiple parse methods (eg ParseActors() ) and assign them to play in my controller (I'm using ASP.net MVC) after everything was parsed and added Currently I am implementing option 1 - but it feels wrong. I'd appreciate it if someone could guide me in the right direction on this one.

  Hey all... I'm trying to figure out how to use PayPal's IPN and I've run into a wall. I want a buyer to be forwarded to a success page after making a purchase, and I want that page to show the details of their transaction. I choose IPN instead of the PDT because I also want to do some other behind the scenes stuff with their data. • Parsing xml with php and xpath

  Hey guys, I'm trying to parse an xml file to return a item with a specific id only, but having trouble making it work. here's what I have in php $xml_str = file_get_contents("test.xml"); $xml = simplexml_load_string($xml_str); $albid = $_GET['id']; $nodes = $xml->xpath('//library/book[@id=1]'); foreach($nodes as $node) { echo $node['title'].'<br/>'; } First, the php is not returning anything from the xml file. What would I need to fix to return the data? Also, how would I enter $albid into the xpath so that the id will be retrieved from the link? Any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated.
