• SHBrowseForFolder doesn't work for network selection in win7

  Hi, I use SHBrowseForFolder in my code. It works well in XP. But I find it dose not run well in Windows 7 with the same code. When I click a network, it does nothing. But it can expand in XP. By the way, I have the permission to access the network of another computer and I try accessing the resource with explorer, it's OK! Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem? Thanks in advance!

  I realize Internet Explorer ignores the disabled attribute, but I'm not seeing a way to create, via the HtmlHelper, a SelectListItem that will spit out the following HTML: <option disabled="disabled">don't click this</option> The only properties SelectListItem has are: new SelectListItem{ Name = "don't click this", Value = string.Empty, Selected = false } The only option I see is to Subclass the SelectListItem to add an Enabled property to get the value to the view Not use the HTML helper for DropDownList Create a new HtmlHelper extension that accepts my new EnablableSelectList and adds my disabled attribute.

  I just pay for the deluxe plan in godaddy for my website but I have a problem, I created the database in mssql and when I click to webadmin ,it redirects me to: http://mssql.myname.com/silentlogon.aspx with the message: This webpage is not available. But if I create a mysql database everything is ok, idk what I am doing wrong , I know I cant contact GoDaddy but the line is busy or when I talk to them they don't understand.   Hi, I am working on a calculator that allows you to perform calculations past the decimal point in octal, hexadecimal, binary, and of course decimal. I am having trouble though finding a way to convert floating point decimal numbers to floating point hexadecimal, octal, binary and vice versa. The plan is to do all the math in decimal and then convert the result into the appropriate number system. Any help, ideas or examples would be appreciated. Thanks!

• Visual Studio 2010 and discovery of advantage server error

  I installed VS 2010 on a Windows 7 64 bit machine. When I try and connect to an advantage database through the server explorer using the Advanatage OLEDB driver I get a cannot discover advantage database server error. I can connect to the database using the ARC just fine. I was able to connect in VS 2008 just fine. Any ideas on why I can't connect in VS 2010?

• My log file is so big, after truncate it 2 days, it still big like before

  I'm using sql server 2005 and the log is too big 23 gbs (if you compare with the data file only 8GB). I've already run the truncate, after that the log file is 24mb but after 2 days, it becomes 23gbs. My database is full backup mode. I have the maintain plan is 2 hours will have diff backup and 24hours will have full backup. Do you have any idea about this case?

  Hi, I have a directory structure of directories and files that I want to render as a tableview in an iphone app. I'd rather have this generated dynamically rather than have to maintain a XML PLIST or whatever. i.e. replicate the Explorer functionality in windows where a user can traverse the structure and then select bundled image files for viewing. • Strange threads in application in Win7 WOW64

  We are observing 4-6 threads on Windows 7 x64 in the application which have 3 threads and behaves normally on any Windows (either 32 or 64 bit) prior Windows 7. Process Explorer shows the following "unknown" thread: ntdll.dll!EtwDeliverDataBlock+offset after random interval the following threads appear: ntdll.dll!TpCallbackIndependent+offset ntdll.dll!TpCallbackIndependent+offset after that application can't create thread (error code 8, hot enough space ...). It seems to me that some system DLL creates ETW threads or something. Does anyone know what these threads for and how to manage them?

  I have included Zend_Form_Element_Hash into a form multiplecheckbox form. I have jQuery set to fire off an AJAX request when a checkbox is clicked, I pass the token with this AJAX request. The first AJAX request works great, but the subsequent ones fail. I suspect it may be once the token has been validated it is then removed from the session (hop = 1). What would be your plan of attack for securing a form with Zend Framework Hash yet using AJAX to complete some of these requests?

• WinForms: Alternative to SplitContainer?

I don't like how the SplitContainer shows that weird, dotted strip when its selected and when its being dragged.   Is there a built-in jQuery function for encoding a string as HTML? I'm trying to take the text a user types into a text box and then put that text into a different area of the page. My plan was to take the .val() from the text box and supply that to the .html() of the <div> element. Perhaps there's a good jQuery plugin to help with this (if it's not built-in) or a better way overall to accomplish this goal.
