    Hello, I have declared my own type: data Book = Bookinfo { bookId :: Int, title :: String } deriving(Show) and now: x = Bookinfo it is all ok, valid statement but making bookId x throws an error. If I would be able to handle errors in Haskell that would be ok but right now I cant do this So Im curious how to make not specified values of fields take default value, and what exactly value is there when I'm not giving vcalues of fields in construcotr ? thanks for help

    Let's say I have the following model: Person <AR def name [self.first_name,self.middle_name,self.last_name].select{|n| n.present?}.join(' ') end end How could I do a search on the virtual attribute with searchlogic, something like: Person.search.name_like 'foo' Of courese I could construct a large statement like: Person.search.first_name_like_or_last_name_like_or_... 'argh' but surely there is a more elegant way.

And as an explanation I read somewhere, that browsers will load up to 5 things simultaneously from the same domain. Would a subdomain, for example cdn.example.com be considered a new domain, in the previous statement?

Now I am nearly certain that the only process accessing this file is from code that I have written and I've been careful to use a using statement around accessing it. But to be 100% sure, is there anyway to check this programatically when this error occurs?

  • Problem with PHP 'PHP_SELF'

    I am having a bit of trouble. It does not seem to be a big deal, but I have created a page that the user can edit a MySQL database. Once they click submit it should process the php within the if statement and echo 1 record updated. The problem is that it does not wait to echo the statement. It just seems to ignore the way I wrote my if and display the whole page.     Hi, I can't quite figure out why this Linq Statement isn't working as i would expect: Dim distinctSurchargesList = (From thisparent As Parent In ThisParentCollection _ From thisChild As Child In thisparent.theseChildren _ Select New With {.childId = thischild.Id}).Distinct() I would assume that this would create a new collection of anonymous types, that would be distinct. Instead it creates a collection the size of the "ThisParentCollection" with duplicate "MyAnonymousType" in it (duplicate id's). Can anyone tell me where im going wrong? Thanks

  • phpbb specific forum page styles

    I am using phpbb on a site for a client, and the client has requested that each different forum page have a different background color. Such functionality is not built into phpbb (from what I can tell), so how should I go about doing this? Can I modify the code of phpbb directly? My other thought was to use a js conditional statement, but seeing as the only difference on the forums page would be the page title, I don't know how I could format this.

    I just came across a SQL statement that uses AS to alias tables, like this: SELECT all, my, stuff FROM someTableName AS a INNER JOIN someOtherTableName AS b ON a.id = b.id What I'm used to seeing is: SELECT all, my, stuff FROM someTableName a INNER JOIN someOtherTableName b ON a.id = b.id I'm assuming there's no difference and it's just syntactic sugar, but which of these is more prevalent/wide-spread? Is there any reason to prefer one over the other?

    Hi all, I am looking for a regex query that would allow me to retrieve a value from a string here are examples of my string: home.aspx?StudyID=0020101&aa=72 randompage.aspx?studyid=3023603&aa=40 myconfig.aspx?studyid=0021600&aa=40 I need to get the numerical value of the 'studyid' variable, please note that the name of the page will change so simply doing the substring and counting char spaces didn't work I unfortunately cannot use request.querystring method as this string is stored in the database and a select statement will be used for running this regex query Thanks
