What is happening though is that when I move onto the language list, and I go past Germany (~50% down the list?), the hover() loses focus and closes the original menu, which closes the language menu. Any idea's what is causing the issue? Any ideas how to fix the issue? I have tried the hoverIntent() plugin as well to no avail.

• Connect to VPN from Mac on Time Capsule network

  I have a few clients on my network that can connect to my work VPN (Windows PPTP) when they are not on my home network. On my home network (Cable Modem with Time Capsule providing Wifi), it fails very early -- looks like it can't even establish a connection. Logs just say that it failed -- even verbose logs don't have much: I redacted the host and IP from this log, but I can ping it. The only clue I have seen in other forums is to set the NAT default host on the Time Capsule -- I set this to the IP that my mac got over DHCP. I made sure that my Mac gets a different range of IP addresses that it would get if it connected to the VPN (192.168.1.x vs. 10.0.0.x). Not using any VPN client -- just Network System Preferences. It has worked in the past -- but it was a while ago, so I can't pinpoint a change. My sysadmin doesn't even see incoming connections to the VPN (nothing logged about me when I connect). Looking for any diagnostic advice at all

I have a huge issue of my site's images being submitted to social networks like StumbleUpon with a direct link like http://example.com/xxxxx.jpg Which sometimes gets huge traffic and increases CPU usage and bandwidth usage. • Clicking Elements in Android Doesn't Display the Correct Values

  I apologize if this code looks a bit like a mess (considering the length); I figured I'd just include everything that goes on in my program at the moment. I'm attempting to create a fairly simple Tic Tac Toe app for Android. I've set up my UI nicely so far so that there are a "grid" of TextViews. As a sort of "debug" right now, I have it so that when one clicks on a TextView, it should display the value of buttonId in a message box. Right now, it displays the correct assigned value for the first element I click, but no matter what I click afterwards, it always just displays the first value buttonID had. I attempted to debug it but couldn't exactly find a point where it would pull the old value (to the best of my knowledge, it reassigned the value). There's a good possibility I'm missing something small, because this is my first Android project (of any note). Can someone help get different values of buttonId to appear or point out the error in my logic? • Map wont show rigth in Joomla

  I have the following code of a map using api google, I have tested the code in several html editor and its work perfectly, but when i upload in my web page doesn’t work. The map appears all zoomed in some random point in the ocean. I create an article in Joomla 1.5.20, paste the code. Its shows right in the preview but not in the web page. I disable filtering and use none editor and still won’t work. • Javascript form validation only works in firefox

  Hello, I am relatively new to Javascript so I'm hoping this is a simple mistake. I building a generic form validation function that is called on the form's onSubmit. The function loops through all the form's child elements, looks for certain classes, and analyzes the contents of the appropriate fields. If it finds something missing or erroneous, it displays the appropriate error message div and returns false, thus preventing the form from being submitted to the php page. It works well in firefox 3.6.3, but in every other browser I've tested (Safari 4.0.4, Chrome 4.1, IE8) it seems to ignore the onSubmit and jump straight to the php processing page.   How can I add multiple values to one object in an Array. I am having Environment and Cluster, I am able to assign multiple clusters to one environment. Now I want to add application name to this environment and cluster pair. I am having page called "Add Application". Here I am using select menu to for environment and Cluster. My first question is, when I select environment then want to show only those clusters which are assigned to that environment name. And assign application name to that pair. Also should be able to edit the Application field. • USB external drive is not recognized by any OS, how to troubleshoot in Ubuntu?

  First of all I would like to inform you that I saw a question similar to mine but the error was different, so here's my problem... I have an external HD samsung s2 model of 500GB and a day to day just stopped working, tried in other systems (windows and mac) however are not recognized. In the windows device manager when I insert the usb it states that the device in question are not working properly. • Wireless internet connection connects but internet does not work (no packets received). Wired does.

  When I connect my PC via ethernet cable to my ADSL router it works fine. When I connect via Wireless it connects and the internet will work for a random amount of time and then stop working. It stays connected with a strong signal but no packets are received. My laptop/iphone are right next to it and wireless works fine. If I open the Wireless USB status, it says it is connected to my SSID with full strength (54 mps - I am 3 meteres away from my router) and the activty shows as Packets 594 SENT and 105 RECEIVED (this goes up VERY slowly) I have tried the following: Turned off anitvirus and firewall completely. Tested the wifi signal- I am writing this on my laptop which is next to my PC and also has full wifi strength. Tried a different wireless adapter - I dug out an old PCI wireless card - it does the exact same thing. Compared all wireless settings to my laptop. I can ping google.com and it replies (sometimes with packet loss) When I reboot the PC it will connect for a minute or two (random time) and then just stops again. I tried Firefox, IE etc. no joy I have updated all latest versions (Netgear WG111v2) and drivers Checked Event Log - nothing unusual Ping the router (and even connect as admin for the few minutes when the internet does work) Changed the MTU down to 1200 using DrTCP Checked Device Manager for conflicts - none. I ping the router from the PC (192.168.0.10 - 192.168.0.1) and it replies with 4 packets. BUT, on my router admin page (which I access via http on my laptop wirelessly) - if I ping 192.168.0.10 all packets timeout (pinging my laptop 192.168.0.12 works fine) My router admin page shows the leased IP address for 192.168.0.10 (ie it is definitely talking to the router initially) Now I am out of ideas - please help. I think it is an OS/Software issue as I have tried 2 different wireless adapaters (PCI and USB) with the same result but all other wireless devices work fine around mine). It's not the firewall. It is getting assigned an IP address correctly (my PC gets 192.168.0.10, my laptop is .12) It is assigned by DHCP. As soon as I plug in the ethernet cable it all works fine. Repairing the adapter sometimes helps but it will always stop working after a random time. The wireless adapter always shows as connected with Excellent signal but the internet does not work. I am running Windows XP SP3 and have tried a Netgear WG111v2 USB adapter. Thanks in advance! UPDATE: The internet seems to be working, it is just either sending packets too small or slow to work (some small pages load bits of them very slowly but then hang).   I have been working on this for the past two weeks not and for some reason I cannot seem to get nginx's try_files to work with my wordpress permalinks. I am hoping someone will be able to tell me where I am going wrong and also hopefully tell me if I made any major errors with my configurations as well (I am an nginx newbie... but learning :) ). I've been searching the net for a few hours now but none of the found solutions worked for me. I am using Eclipse Java EE IDE for Web Developers. Everything is lowercase, so I don't think that it's that issue. If I switch to MySQL, the same code same project (I only change driver,URL, authentication), it works. In Eclipse Datasource Explorer, I can ping the DB and it succeeds. Weird thing is that I can't see the tables from there either. It expands the public schema but it doesn't expand the tables. Could it be some permission issue? Thanks!

• using Silverlight 3's HtmlPage.Window.Navigate method to reuse an already open browser window

  Hi, I want to use an external browser window to implement a preview functionality in a silverlight application. There is a list of items and whenever the user clicks one of these items, it's opened in a separate browser window (the content is a pdf document, which is why it is handled ouside of the SL app). Now, to achieve this, I simply use HtmlPage.Window.Navigate(new Uri("http://www.bing.com")); which works fine. Now my client doesn't like the fact that every click opens up a new browser window. He would like to see the browser window reused every time an item is clicked. So I went out and tried implementing this: Option 1 - Use the overload of the Navigate method, like so: HtmlPage.Window.Navigate(new Uri("http://www.bing.com"), "foo"); I was assuming that the window would be reused when the same target parameter value (foo) would be used in subsequent calls. This does not work. I get a new window every time. Option 2 - Use the PopupWindow method on the HtmlPage HtmlPage.PopupWindow(new Uri("http://www.bing.com"), "blah", new HtmlPopupWindowOptions()); This does not work. I get a new window every time. Option 3 - Get a handle to the opened window and reuse that in subsequent calls private HtmlWindow window; private void navigationButton_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { if (window == null) window = HtmlPage.Window.Navigate(new Uri("http://www.bing.com"), "blah"); else window.Navigate(new Uri("http://www.bing.com"), "blah"); if (window == null) MessageBox.Show("it's null"); } This does not work. I get a new window every time. option 5 - Use CreateInstance to run some custom javascript on the page private void navigationButton_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { HtmlPage.Window.CreateInstance("thisIsPlainHell"); } and in my aspx I have function thisIsPlainHell() { var popup = window.open('http://www.bing.com', 'blah'); popup.focus(); } Guess what? This does work. The only thing is that the window behaves a little strange and I'm not sure why: I'm behind a proxy and in all other scenarios I'm being prompted for my password. In this case however I am not (and am thus not able to reach the external site - bing in this case). This is not really a huge issue atm, but I just don't understand what's goign on here. Whenever I type another url in the address bar of the popup window (eg www.google.com) and press enter, it opens up another window and prompts me for my proxy password. As a temporary solution option 5 could do, but I don't like the fact that Silverlight is not able to manage this. One of the main reasons my client has opted for Silverlight is to be protected against all the browser specific hacking that comes with javascript. Am I doing something wrong? I'm definitely no javascript expert, so I'm hoping it's something obvious I'm missing here. Cheers, Phil

  I'm trying to create an icon/widget (1 cell x 1 cell) that can be placed on the home screen of android. The widget will look and act exactly like the other standard shortcuts in android. It will have an icon and under that a label, it will be selectable with the trackball (highlight able) it will be highlighted when it is selected/clicked. How do I go about creating this home screen widget? Do I have to create the widget myself using code/xml or is there some standard xml, style, theme, code that I can use to ensure that the widget will have the same style/theme as the other home screen widgets? Any ideas, if there is a correct way to do this, or should I just keep working away on the above until I am closer?

This is my current status of the stylesheet. • MVC controller is being called twice

  Hello, I have a controller that is being called twice from an ActionLink call. My home page has a link, that when clicked calls the Index method on the Play controller. An id of 100 is passed into the method. I think this is what is causing the issue. More on this below. Here are some code snippets: Home page: <%= Html.ActionLink(“Click Me”, "Index", "Play", new { id = 100 }, null) %> Play Controller: public ActionResult Index(int? id) { var settings = new Dictionary<string, string>(); settings.Add("Id", id.ToString()); ViewData["InitParams"] = settings.ToInitParams(); return View(); } Play view: <%@ Page Title="" Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewPage" %> (html <head> omitted for brevity) <body> <form id="form1" runat="server" style="height:100%"> Hello </form> </body> If I get rid of the parameter to the Index method, everything is fine. If I leave the parameter in place, then the Index method is called with 100 as the id. After returning the View, the method is called a second time with a parameter of null. I can’t seem to figure out what is triggering the second call. My first thought was to add a specific route like this: routes.MapRoute( "Play", // Route name "Play/{id}", // URL with parameters new {controller = "Play", action = "Index"} // Parameter defaults ); This had no effect other than making a prettier looking link.
