    I'm trying to use an RSS feed from my blog on the news section on another site. Everything seems to be working fine until I use something like an ellipsis on my blog. The expected output is: One more time…less fail Although this is no joking matter… The actual output is: One more time?less fail Although this is no joking matter… The problem is that ? should be a .... The code I'm using is the same for the first line (the blog title) and the second line (the blog contents) and that code is: $a = utf8_decode($a); print("$a"); Where $a is the string from the RSS feed. Can anyone point in the right direction why that code would work correctly for the body (second line) and not for the title (first line)? Or suggest a better way to do this? Thanks!

My doubt, if some open that file and did someone changes in that I am not able get file content . It says my following things. $ gpg --decrypt File.txt.gpg gpg: no valid OpenPGP data found. gpg: decrypt_message failed: eof I want my file content , even though some body has done changes in that . what should I do for this problem....?

  • Wiring up JavaScript handlers after a Partial Postback in ASP.NET

    I am trying to use LinkButtons with the DefaultButton property of the ASP.NET Panel in an UpdatePanel. I have read and used the various other answers that are around describing the wiring up of the click event so that a full postback is not done instead of a partial postback. When the page loads, I wire up the .click function of the LinkButton so that the DefaultButton property of the ASP.NET panel will work. This all works fine, until you bring an UpdatePanel into the mix. With an UpdatePanel, if there is a partial postback, the script to wire up the .click function is not called in the partial postback, and hitting enter reverts to causing a full submit of the form rather than triggering the LinkButton. How can I cause javascript to be executed after a partial postback to re-wire up the .click function of the LinkButton? I have produced a sample page which shows the problem. There are two alerts showing 1) When the code to hook up the .click function is being called, and 2) When the .click function has been called (this only happens when you hit enter in the textbox after the event has been wired up). To test this code, type something in the textbox and hit Enter. The text will be copied to the label control, but "Wiring up Event Click" alert will not be shown. Add another letter, hit enter again, and you'll get a full postback without the text being copied to the label control (as the LinkButton wasn't called). Because that was a full postback, the Wiring Up Event Click event will be called again, and the form will work properly the next time again. This is being done with ASP.NET 3.5.   • print css: fit in one page

    Hi. In my page there's only one image. Kind of 1500x3000 px. In the printer, I need that this image's maximum width to be the width of the page, so I did: width 100% in the css, and it works. But the height... the old bullshit of height 100% will never work. Because it always will be 100% of the parent container, then someone must have height defined. Or html or body. So, my question is: make this image fit in one page. Any ideas?

I now need to extend that so that if a user answers Yes to a question they must enter something in the Details field, otherwise the Details field can be left blank.   • Is there a Java API for creating a XHTML document?

    I want to provide a simple XHTML representation of each of the resources in a REST web service. At the moment i'm using a StringBuilder to generate these which is both tedious and error prone. I don't see these changing after I publish the service but the process of coding each is a bit painful. Is there a XHTML document writer api? Should I just use an XML writer? Which one? Should I just roll my own basic HTML document class - doctype is the same each time, i just need to set the title, metatags and body content, most of which (but not all content) is already in HTML for the GETs. Or should I just use StringBuilder and stop whining? ;) Thanks.

  • Android: "Edit Source Lookup Path...".

    I am developing on a Mac with Eclipse and have the skeleton for an app that implements the standard framework callbacks (onCreate, onDestroy, onPause, etc..). When I set breakpoints in the callbacks the debugger stops and displays a tab that says "ActivityThread.performLaunchActivity(ActivityThread $ActivityRecord,Intent)line:2477" and in the tab page body there is some red text that says "Source not found" and a button that says "Edit Source Lookup Path...". I have tried adding several paths via "Edit Source Lookup Path..." but can't see to find the one Eclipse is looking for. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    I am looking at the website. Trying to transfer selenium html to junit but could not get it to work because it keeps saying Error: Element not found. Maybe syntax error because I was able to break it down to the shortest path in firebug but still could not get to compile..What do you do in this case ?     Hello, I want to develop some crosstab also know as pivot reports in Asp.net with x-axis and y-axis being dynamics, allowing grouping by row and column, for example: have products in y-axis and date in x-axis having in body number of sells of a given product in a given date, if date in x-axis are years, i want subtotals for each month for a product (row) and subtotals of sells of all products in date (column) I know there are products available to build reports, but i am using Mysql, so Reporting Service is not an option. It's not necessary for the client build additional reports, i think the simplest solution is having a control to display such information and not using crystal report (which is not free) or something more complex, i want to know if is there an available free control to reach my goal. Well, does anybody know a control or have a different idea, thanks in advance.

  • PHPMailer safe practices - Send escaped / sanitized variables or not ?

    I'm using the PHPMailer-Lite class to build an email sending script and I'm not sure if I should use addslashses() on the $name variable when adding it to the constructor. If somebody's last name would be O'Riley (or any other name that contains characters which should normally be sanitized before handling) and I would send it unescaped, wouldn't it mess with the script/email sending ? Is it safe to send it unescaped ? As a side note, I would also like to avoid having my message body say "Hello, O\'Riley". Looking at the source, I saw that it only trims the whitespace and line ending (\r\n) characters from the received $name variable, so any advice on this would be more than welcome.     I have a div, which has jQuery UI Draggable applied. What I want to do, is click and drag that, and create a clone that is kept in the dom and not removed when dropped. Think of a deck of cards, my box element is the deck, and I want to pull cards/divs off that deck and have them laying around my page, but they would be clones of the original div.   • PHP: How to check if query string or POST vars contain same var twice

    It may sound strange, but in my PHP application I need to check if the same variable name has been declared more than once in the query string or POST variables, and return an error value if this is the case. If my application doesn't return an error in this case, it fails a compliance check. When accessing vars using $_GET, $_POST, etc, PHP only returns the last value given for each variable name. I can't find a way to tell if any variable appeared more than once. I simply need to find out if the query string or the variables in the POST body contained the same variable name more than once, whatever the values.

I don't get a js error in ie so I am assuming it just doesn't get binded. any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Parse http GET and POST parameters from BaseHTTPHandler?

    BaseHTTPHandler from the BaseHTTPServer module doesn't seem to provide any convenient way to access http request parameters. What is the best way to parse the GET parameters from the path, and the POST parameters from the request body? Right now, I'm using this for GET: def do_GET(self): parsed_path = urlparse.urlparse(self.path) try: params = dict([p.split('=') for p in parsed_path[4].split('&')]) except: params = {} This works for most cases, but I'd like something more robust that handles encodings and cases like empty parameters properly. Ideally, I'd like something small and standalone, rather than a full web framework.

    I am reading some parameters (from user input) from a .txt file and want to make sure that my script could read it even a space or tab is left before that particular parameter by user. Also if I want to add a comment for each parameter followed by # , after the parameter (e.g 7870 # this is default port number) to let the user know about the parameter How can I achieve it in same file? Right now, I am using split /\|\s/.
