  • Git Specify Remote Source Durring Push

    I have a local git repository a "central" repo at github. I'm working on a part of a project, while a friend is working on a related piece that is its entirely seperate repo, is it possible for me to simply link directly to my friends repo? For example, the app is called widgets. I have all my code in widgets/app/mycode and my friend is writing code that goes into widgets/plugins/awesome/hiscode. I want to be able to always have http://github.com/mycode/widgets/plugins/hiscode to be a direct link or clone to http://github.com/hiscode/awesome ? It could be possible i'm missing something basic in my question or knowledge of git, if so please ask, and i'll be happy to try to fill in the blanks.

    Hi all, I have used wmd-editor in my cakephp v1.3 application. The config which I have written is as follows: wmd_options = { output: "HTML", lineLength: 40, buttons: "bold italic | link blockquote code image | ol ul heading hr", autostart: true }; When I submit the form the HTML in the wmd enabled textarea is saved in the database with htmlentities() done to the text then I am displaying it with html_entity_decode() method. but the text is displayed as it is including the HTML coding like this <p><strong>hello dear friends</strong></p>\n\n<pre><code>I want to make sure that everything that you type is visible clearly.\nadasfafas\n</code></pre>\n\n<blockquote>\n <p>sadgsagasdgxcbxcbxc</p>\n</blockquote>\n\n<p><em>sadfgsgasdsgasgs</em></p>\n\n<p><b><a href="http://kumu.in">this is the link</a></b></p> Please help me solve this problem Thanks

  • Embedding an existing exe file into another C++ program

    Is there a way to link an existing .exe file with other C++ source files during compilation? What I'm actually trying to do is to compress and decompress some files in my console program using LZMA(7zip) SDK but unfortunately it's very difficult to use for a newbie. There is a command line version of LZMA called 7za.exe and I am wondering if I can somehow embed it into my program and use it like a function. It can be easily used with system() function (which seems to be a very dangerous thing to use) but then if I send my program to someone who doesn't have 7za.exe in the right folder it won't work. I came across CreateProcess() function in windows.h header files but it seems to achieve what system() does in a more proper and advanced way. I don't know if it can actually link the exe file like an object file during compilation

    Hi, is there any possibility how to fetch any specific type of posts from facebook news feed via graph api?For example on my news feed I have statutuses, links, photos, vidoes, and so on..I only want to get the ones with type=status over graph api..I have seen some get parameters in documentation, but nothing like ?type=link..So I have tried /me/home?type=link, but unsurprisingly it have not worked:D So does anyone know how to do that?I can filter it in my PHP app, but then I need to get some further data..When I got 20 posts and only 10 would be statuses, I need to add the 10 remaiming?   • Top techniques to avoid 'data scraping' from a website database

    I am setting up a site using PHP and MySQL that is essentially just a web front-end to an existing database. Understandably my client is very keen to prevent anyone from being able to make a copy of the data in the database yet at the same time wants everything publicly available and even a "view all" link to display every record in the db. Whilst I have put everything in place to prevent attacks such as SQL injection attacks, there is nothing to prevent anyone from viewing all the records as html and running some sort of script to parse this data back into another database. Even if I was to remove the "view all" link, someone could still, in theory, use an automated process to go through each record one by one and compile these into a new database, essentially pinching all the information. Does anyone have any good tactics for preventing or even just dettering this that they could share. Thanks

Since touch-based clients don't have a :hover state are pure CSS dropdowns going to go away? Then i thought even if you add some javascript to make the menus popup on click... What happens when the menu item (that expands to another menu) is also a link. How do you tell the difference between a click to see the menu or a click to go to that link?

    Hi, I'm using this Ajax script (http://www.dhtmlgoodies.com/index.html?whichScript=ajax-dynamic-content) to load content from an aspx page on another server than the page calling the content. So far I've learned that this is a no go. The problem seems to be that when using an absolute link to content the script fails as apposed to using a relative link.     Once a member signs up a form they can download the pdf file. Currently, the pdf file is link with HTML which means that anyone with the url can download it. What's the best way to encrypt a page so that the user don't see the url to a pdf file. I tried creating a flash file and link the URL from flash using the following: var myPDF = new URLRequest("temp/test.pdf"); navigateToURL(myPDF); but it opens a new window and show's the URL !!! is there a way to make the browse forcefully download the file instead of opening in on a new browser.     Hey there folks, Here is one that is throwing me for a loop. I am trying to set a simple cookie that has one name:value pair on IE8. Tested on FF and it works fine. IE8 keeps blocking it.
