  What is the best way to access the members of an rdf list? I'm using rdflib (python) but an answer given in plain SPARQL is also ok (this type of answer can be used through rdfextras, a rdflib helper library). • Custom C# Compiler and MSDOS Window

  Hi All I've just got my own little custom c# compiler made, using the article from MSDN. But, when I create a new Windows Forms application using my sample compiler, the MSDOS window also appears, and if I close the DOS window, my WinForms app closes too. How can I tell the Compiler? not to show the MSDOS window at all? Thank you :)

• DATE lookup table (1990/01/01:2041/12/31)

  I use a DATE's master table for looking up dates and other values in order to control several events, intervals and calculations within my app. It has rows for every single day begining from 01/01/1990 to 12/31/2041. One example of how I use this lookup table is: A customer pawned an item on: JAN-31-2010 Customer returns on MAY-03-2010 to make an interest pymt to avoid forfeiting the item. If he pays 1 months interest, the employee enters a "1" and the app looks-up the pawn date (JAN-31-2010) in date master table and puts FEB-28-2010 in the applicable interest pymt date. FEB-28 is returned because FEB-31's dont exist! If 2010 were a leap-year, it would've returned FEB-29. If customer pays 2 months, MAR-31-2010 is returned. 3 months, APR-30... If customer pays more than 3 months or another period not covered by the date lookup table, employee manually enters the applicable date.   I want to have multiple a MySQL users to be able to issue commands like CREATE DATABASE dbTest; But I also want each of these users to be able to see and access only their own databases. All I could find was how to either create the databases by a DBA and grant the privileges on this database to the specific user: GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON dbTest.* TO 'user'; or grant privileges on all databases to a user: GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON *.* TO 'user'; But neither is what I want, because it needs to scale and be secure.

  Hi, I am looking for a easy to use and deploy sql type database i can ship with a desktop application. This will be a small application user's can download from my website. In the vb6 days, access was the common database for small desktop apps, what is my option these days? Looking at SQL CE it seems to have a quite a few limitations such as count(distinct) etc SQL express needs to be installed and running as a service (could i include the SQL express deployments in my deployment so the user doesn't even know its been installed? I assume size would then be an issue) SQL 2005/2008 is not an option due to size and licensing restrictions. I would like to use c#, wpf and entity framework. What would seem to be the best options based on your knowledge and experience? Thanks

• How to get stack trace information for logging in production when using the GAC

  I would like to get stack trace (file name and line number) information for logging exceptions etc. in a production environment. The DLLs are installed in the GAC. Is there any way to do this? This article says about putting PDB files in the GAC: You can spot these easily because they will say you need to copy the debug symbols (.pdb file) to the GAC. In and of itself, that will not work. I know this article refers to debugging with VS but I thought it might apply to logging the stacktrace also. I've followed the instructions for the answer to this question except for unchecking Optimize code which they said was optional. I copied the dlls and pdbs into the GAC but I'm still not getting the stack trace information. Here's what I get in the log file for the stack trace: OnAuthenticate at offset 161 in file:line:column <filename unknown>:0:0 ValidateUser at offset 427 in file:line:column <filename unknown>:0:0 LogException at offset 218 in file:line:column <filename unknown>:0:0 I'm using NLog. My NLog layout is: layout="${date:format=s}|${level}|${callsite}|${identity}|${message}|${stacktrace:format=Raw}" ${stacktrace:format=Raw} being the relevant part.

  We are currently distributing a WinForms app without .pdb files to conserve space on client machines and download bandwidth. When we get stack traces, we are getting method names but not line numbers. Is there any way to get the line numbers without resorting to distributing the .pdb files?

  I am trying to install Php on Vista (IIS 7). The installation and configuration seems to be fine. Pretty much followed everything mentioned in http://blogs.iis.net/bills/archive/2006/09/19/How-to-install-PHP-on-IIS7-_2800_RC1_2900_.aspx I can even bring up a test.php which is basically and can also connect to mysql db through code. But when I try to bring up some other php page like drupal's index page or phpmyadmin index page, it brings up a Php access violation message. Any clue whats happening? Also is there some tracing/diagnositic tool for php to trace whats happenign on the webserver.

I have a query that compares the course number of this upcoming semester's classes to the course numbers of historical textbook orders, pulling out only those classes that are being taught this semester. That's where I get lost.   I have a little Java Applet and I have an annoying issue. I have signed my JAR with my own keystore using jarsigner tool (following these instructions). The Java Applet downloads a signed JAR and tries to launch it with an extended class of URLClassLoader.   I have a huge website (containing around 5000+) pages. There is a theme functionality in the website where user can choose different colors for their profile. Now i want to use the ASP.net theme feature and put different CSS (for different colors) in the theme folder and in Global.asax i want check the user theme and render appropriate link element with the css. But my problem is, i am not able to access the Page element for adding the link in the page. Here is my code Dim page As System.Web.UI.Page = TryCast(System.Web.HttpContext.Current.Handler,System.Web.UI.Page) page.StyleSheetTheme = "Black" But when i run this code I get a Null reference error. P.s : My application is very huge so its not possible to have a master page or a base class and inherit it in every page. Please suggest.

• access denied trying extracting an archive on the windows user temp folder

  I'm trying to run a command-line process (which is extraction of a .7z archive) on a file that lies in a temporary folder on the windows user temp directory (C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Temp), using Process in my c# app. I think the process return error that happens because of "access denied" because I can see a win32Exception with error code 5 when I dig in the prcoess object of .NET. doing the same on some other location worked fine before, so I guess maybe it's something I'm not supposed to do ? (running a process to use a file on the the %TEMP%) perhaps I need to pass security somehow?

  I have a .NET windows forms application compiled as x84 – it needs to be compiled as x84 because it references 3rd party DLLs which are 32 bit. The application uses COM interop to automate Office applications and also AutoCAD. My question is: will my COM interop code work okay on a 64 bit operating system against the 64 bit versions of Office and AutoCAD? I’m going to try this out but I wondered whether someone knew of any problems?

• Preventing referenced assembly PDB and XML files copied to output

  I have a Visual Studio 2008 C#/.NET 3.5 project with a post build task to ZIP the contents. However I'm finding that I'm also getting the referenced assemblies' .pdb (debug) and .xml (documentation) files in my output directory (and ZIP). For example, if MyProject.csproj references YourAssembly.dll and there are YourAssembly.xml and YourAssembly.pdb files in the same directory as the DLL they will show up in my output directory (and ZIP). I can exclude *.pdb when ZIP'ing but I cannot blanket exclude the *.xml files as I have deployment files with the same extension. Is there a way to prevent the project from copying referenced assembly PDB and XML files?
