• Is there any free live support solution that would ease implementation of a basic online help-desk?

  I'm looking for a free or inexpensive solution to give live online support to web visitors. I would like something based on Jabber/XMPP because it's an open protocol. This should work like this: The company would use 2-3 jabber accounts like Google Talk for providing support Online chat form that would connect to one of currently online jabber accounts Optionally give one proxy jabber account to the customers. This proxy would contact any of the currently online company accounts. Using this customers will see only one chat contact but they will speak with different people based on who is online at the moment. Currently I found only some expensive solutions like J-livesupport, Akeni. I would really appreciate if you will recommend something you successfully implemented.

  I'm using MapKit in an iPad app with the Base SDK set to iOS 4.2 in Xcode 3.2.5. When I run the app in the iPad Simulator 4.2, the app works fine. When I run it in the iPad Simulator 3.2, it crashes on startup with the following error: ERROR: unable to load AX Bundle: /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneSimulator3.2.sdk/System/Library/AccessibilityBundles/MapKitFramework.axbundle What am I doing wrong?

• can someone help me with why my OnClickListener won't work? Android

  I want to show my custom UIView(.Xib View) to appear when user tabbed on pins (not apple's callOutBubble) and in that UIView there should be a button which fires an IBAction on touched down event. Therefore i have added an AddObserver method to MKAnnotationView. which responds to touch events over pin in MKMapView. But i have also added 3 buttons over that XIB view, which have also assined IBActions. But when i run application, Buttons in Customized Annotation view are not responding to IBAction (Touch Down)? Why this happens ?? What is the solution for that??? I need to have called some method, when those 3 buttons tabbed. Thanks

  My friend added 90 rows into the database, I tied it up to my app. In my table view name of my variables are shown in proper fashion but when I tapped one of them, in detailsViewController their description is wrong. It shows very old description of variables not the new ones in database. Moreover, it displays the same description for different variables. What's the problem ? What am i missing? My database is correct. It displays same desscriptions for different values. It makes me worried about. Additionally, when I added a new row to my db, it accepts it but it does not perceive it when i run the app. It shows new row in my tableview if and only if I change the name of my db file. I do not want to use another SQL manager ..

  Hello All, How can I search my sql database for a table that contains a field 'tiEntityId'. This field is referenced in a stored procedure, but I am unable to identify which table this id is a primary key for? Any suggestions? • Help: My SSL Certificate expired but I can't renew it until Monday, is there any way I can disable SSL through IIS?

  Or perhaps force redirect to HTTP when they request HTTPS? I tried removing the SSL port settings under 'Advanced' but it broke the login page. I don't want to do a deploy/recompile right now but I am able to edit the VIEWS. However I am thinking there may be a way for IIS to do this, but then again I think the .NET code tries to force SSL. And yes, the key is that more support tickets will be caused by the browser giving a security error than if SSL was removed entirely for one day. Becaues they wouldn't very very likely not notice it being gone.

• Mysql replace() function, help with query (what chars do I escape?)

  I am trying to update an old cms where images were stored in /images/editor/, they are now stored in a bucket on amazon s3. I'm trying to update the database using mysql replace. I've done this in the past with replacing simple words, but now Mysql is reporting an error, I suspect because this is more than a simple word: UPDATE contents SET desc = replace(desc, '/images/editor/', 'http://s3.amazonaws.com/my_bucket/editor/') Do I need to escape the : or slashes? I've tried escaping it with a '\' to no avail. Can someone get me pointed in the right direction? Thanks! Unfortunately, even though the server saves data and sends back a response I just can't get any alert or the console.log run. Why may be that?   Hi all, I have the following DB model: **Person table** ID | Name | StateId ------------------------------ 1 Joe 1 2 Peter 1 3 John 2 **State table** ID | Desc ------------------------------ 1 Working 2 Vacation and domain model would be (simplified): public class Person { public int Id { get; } public string Name { get; set; } public State State { get; set; } } public class State { private int id; public string Name { get; set; } } The state might be used in the domain logic e.g.: if(person.State == State.Working) // some logic So from my understanding, the State acts like a value object which is used for domain logic checks. But it also needs to be present in the DB model to represent a clean ERM. So state might be extended to: public class State { private int id; public string Name { get; set; } public static State New {get {return new State([hardCodedIdHere?], [hardCodeNameHere?]);}} } But using this approach the name of the state would be hardcoded into the domain. Do you know what I mean? Is there a standard approach for such a thing? From my point of view what I am trying to do is using an object (which is persisted from the ERM design perspective) as a sort of value object within my domain. What do you think? Question update: Probably my question wasn't clear enough. What I need to know is, how I would use an entity (like the State example) that is stored in a database within my domain logic.   I'm trying to upload a picture to a specific website using php cURL but I don't really understand what parameters do I need to send because the data looks a bit weird . • ajaxSubmit and Other Code. Can someone help me determine what this code is doing?

  I've inherited some code that I need to debug. It isn't working at present. My task is to get it to work. No other requirements have been given to me. No, this isn't homework, this is a maintenance nightmare job. ASP.Net (framework 3.5), C#, jQury 1.4.2. This project makes heavy use of jQuery and AJAX. There is a drop down on a page that, when an item is chosen, is supposed to add that item (it's a user) to an object in the database. To accomplish this, the previous programmer first, on page load, dynamically loads the entire page through AJAX. To do this, he's got 5 div's, and each one is loaded from a jquery call to a different full page in the website. Somehow, the HTML and BODY and all the other stuff is stripped out and the contents of the div are loaded with the content of the aspx page. Which seems incredibly wrong to me since it relies on the browser to magically strip out html, head, body, form tags and merge with the existing html head body form tags. Also, as the "content" page is returned as a string, the previous programmer has this code running on it before it is appended to the div: function CleanupResponseText(responseText, uniqueName) { responseText = responseText.replace("theForm.submit();", "SubmitSubForm(theForm, $(theForm).parent());"); responseText = responseText.replace(new RegExp("theForm", "g"), uniqueName); responseText = responseText.replace(new RegExp("doPostBack", "g"), "doPostBack" + uniqueName); return responseText; } When the dropdown itself fires it's onchange event, here is the code that gets fired: function SubmitSubForm(form, container) { //ShowLoading(container); $(form).ajaxSubmit( { url: $(form).attr("action"), success: function(responseText) { $(container).html(CleanupResponseText(responseText, form.id)); $("form", container).css("margin-top", "0").css("padding-top", "0"); //HideLoading(container); } } ); } This blows up in IE, with the message that "Microsoft JScript runtime error: Object doesn't support this property or method" -- which, I think, has to be that $(form).ajaxSubmit method doesn't exist. What is this code really trying to do? I am so turned around right now that I think my only option is to scrap everything and start over. But I'd rather not do that unless necessary. Is this code good? Is it working against .Net, and is that why we are having issues?
