• Is it better to use N WiFi or Cat5e ethernet for large file transfers?

  I have a network containing 802.11 N WiFi Devices and gigabit ethernet devices, however using only Cat5e wiring. I know that if I used Cat6, the ethernet would be much faster however if I need to transfer a large file between a device thats connected normally connected via ethernet and a device thats normally connected via WiFi, would it be advantageous to bother plugging the WiFi device in to the network? or should I switch the ethernet device to WiFi? or does it really matter?

• Silverlight hardware-accelerated playback is greyed-out - How do I enable it?

  I am trying to play Netflix videos (which only play via Silverlight), but they play choppy because Silverlight's hardware-accelerated playback is disabled. (video playback on WMP11 and VLC is flawless, so I know beyond certainty that my built-in video card's hardware is perfectly capable of hardware-accelerated playback) I have the latest & greatest Silverlight version: 5.1.10411.0 And I tried to "un-grey-it-out" via the Registry's GPUVideoDecodeEnabled and UpdateMode, but that didn't help. Is there any way to "un-grey-it-out"?

  I would like to look at some log files solely via the console on a standard Windows 7 machine. The logs are created by schedulded tasks and I find it a hazzle to use VNC for this purpose. What technology should I look at? Powershell, Cygwin via ssh or something else? The log files are written using log4Net - thus there might also be an easy way to reconfigure it to create events or something else for remote display.

The signature contains onerous warnings and disclaimers that sound very official and imply all kinds of legal standing. Is there any point to this? I want to get a call in number based in England and was wondering if receiving calls via the call in number on my mobile via wifi would use any of my callout credit?   Using two servers with NLB, each box contains IIS and a mail server. Server1 is the primary Server2 runs the backup mail server The problem is the web app sends email to ourselves. When mail is sent from Server2 (via its own SMTP server) to ourselves, it tries to contact Server1, as its the mail server IP. But under Unicast mode of NLB, it cant reach the host via the public dedicated IP address. How can we get round this?
